Full Dive [Chapter 1]
2020 changed a lot for the earth, and the most impactful one came in the form of this company by the name Cryoset inc. They shocked the world when they unveiled there advanced technology, which enables a subject to immerse themselves in there bloodline and live the life of their adjacent Ancestors in a fictional word. Allowing diving into one's ancestors lives and gain their knowledge and power leaves with them as they exit the Dive, by the next five years after 2020, Cryoset technology seeped into the significant aspects of people's lives to the point of it adjusting the ruling class and down. By 2026 an update by Cryoset shifted things. This update stated that Divers would be able to cross into someone else's world as long as they were able to find and secure the portal to and back to there's. A diver would sign a term of time away for there dive, and on there return, an evaluation would take place. Whether your bloodline carried that of a Peasant or a King would be known only to you. Grading came after... ... Name? Looking down at this girl that looked younger than her age, speaking up to me. Virgil Hawk, I said as I looked from side to side, observing the room. Huh? She responded, looking up more attentive at the sound of my name. With a glance down, we locked eyes, and she saw the glare from mine. She dipped her down quickly and began punching her fingers down on the keyboard. Term? She said in a shy voice, I pause for a moment and thought, one year and a Half. Without responding or asking questions this time, she began typing. That will be a total of 100,000 US sir, she voice, and I reached out my hand, and my watch connected with a small kiosk. [Seeking approval form Host Virgil Hawk] sounded out from the kiosk. Approve, I said, and a quick bing echoed out. The girl looked up and handed me a thin card with the numbers 66 on them with a deep groove. To your left down the hall, the elevator on your right take it to floor sixty; That was her last words to me as I nodded turned and head for the elevator. With a swift press of the button, the doors slide open I stepped in. The elevator defended instead of its jovial ride up. With a ding, I was off it and arrived at the door of room 66. I slide the key into what looked like a socket, and the door beeped open, and I step in, The room wasn't much A bathroom to the left, and in the main hall, a sat the Dive pod. I wasted no time got undressed and opened it up; what greeted me was soft to the touch white plastic padding. I laid in and stretched my body full out, not an inch was too long as I sat a the height of 6ft and weighed about 220. As I laid there waiting for the pod to close a soft mechanical sound as if it was dislodging something and then I  felt a prick in my right arm. I glanced over to see a needle with my blood sliding back into the white padding of the pod. The pod's door slowly began to defend as the needle disappeared. The sound of a sprayed mist echoed out, and I decided to close my eyes. The mist crawled over my skin and up my nose, and without warning, my consciousness floated away. ... {[Welcome Host Virgil Hawk] I couldn't see it, but I heard the voice call out my name. [Host has chosen to Dive with Cryoset, Term 1year and A half, Terms and Conditions are as Flows, Within the selected term of Time, Host will experience the max of 2 years in the Dive,] [If host experiences detrimental injures or High levels of mental stimulation, they will be forcefully ejected from their Dive, forcing a 72hr halt of all processing]. [Blood of a Parent Detected 50% match had been checked and registered, Actions and Choices by parents will be passed down to the Host.] [Do you agree?] Without seeing, it was frustrating not to know what was going on, but I heard what the voice said, and I spoke the words. [Yes] A short beep echoed out, followed by silence, and the blinding light seeped into my eyes and when the white stabilized and shortly faded the sight that brought a smile to my face that hasn't been there since I was a child. Mom, the words crept out of my mouth as I peered down at the small locket in my hand, I closed and lifted my head, whipping it from side to side, and the sight that greeted me was an encampment, and tents and mud tracked everywhere. With a motion of getting up, a flood of memories came jolting my mind into a shock that brought me down back on the wooden log that I was sitting.  The scenes showed my youth growing up and my parents, where I was now and What I would be doing, This worlds history laid bear at my eye's, and I was awed by it, The realization of what made CryoDivers became movers and shakers in the world above became clear. [Assimulation Rate 50%] The voice came back to my mind and quickly went. My hands gripped the bark on the log, and my eyelids clenched closed. It seems to the world of large there are three known continents and the inhabitants of each continent rule there respective one. The Empire of Gavein belonged to Humans, and their government was absolute on the continent. Following them where the Giants and Dwarfs who split there continent and ruled  The elves of all kinds and shades ruled the last mainland with open borders for other races, but it wasn't the same with the rest. The accentor that I'm assimilating with his name was Virgil Hawkins, and we hailed from a small knight's family nested in the western part of the Gavein Empire, My Father Died in the army which left my mother and me alone and so the empire stripped away what little status we had and tossed us to the wind. As the information flowed, I heard the voice sound out as I was collecting and reviewing the data. [Host Assimilation 72%] it said, and I took it as if I was on the right track. It seemed this word was modeled off the medieval times of myths and magic, Kings and Queens, but there was a system in place that provided direction to for its people. According to the knowledge each individual is born with a "Seed" and if nurtured right that Seed could turn one from an average child to A bursting adventure or a Wonderus mage in all there respected branches, With each Seed came what the people of the land called a Veil, but to those that came from above, it was a Stat Screen. ... In my case, however, it seems that I was born without a seed, and the reason why I find myself in this encampment became all too clear. This is a Front line prison, and I've been serving a 10-year sentence because my mother offended the wrong Nobel, this shook me slightly because as my mind went deeper behind the reason the images of my mother doing unspeakable things to live surfaced. I could only Cup my mouth in frustration. It seems that our blood has been to fail from the start, I thought as the voice came back and spoke to me [Assimulation Rate 100%, Host has now been fully integrated with the word, Host choices are his own and the way to live is up to them.] My eyes shook open for a sec, and I looked around the sun was setting, and the time for my work shift was coming up, so I followed my memories, and they lead me to a tent that looked as if it could be caught on fire by someone's hot breath. I opened it and crawled in. The ceiling was patchy and hung on the wooden shaft sticks that kept it up. As the space was cramped, I kept my head down and looked at the few things which are littered about.  A bag to the side and a small table slightly to the left of my rib cage, nothing too impressive. I Looked at the flapping, and that allowed me to peek outside, and curiosity stroke me. I spoke about what's been on my mind, "Viel." [Name: Virgil Hawkins] [Seed: Calcify] [Realm: Locked] [Skils: Locked] -Cerebellum=Locked -Stem=Locked -Fornix=Locked -Corpus=Locked ... According to these memories, each one of these after my skills represents part of my brain, and as I progress from realm to realm, each will be counted in percentage form and will reset as I cross over into a new threshold. Classed locked, Realm locked, so without a Decalcified Seed, I amount to nothing but a prisoner. With a thought of the Viel disappearing, it obliged and faded away. I began with a search of my body to see if the bind that was mention in the assimilation were present, and without a doubt, as I pulled up my raggedy pants leg there, it was an Ankle monitor in magic form. Shit, Escaped my lips, and the call of my name jolted me to my feet. "Virgil!!!" Wasting no time in exiting the old tent and went forward as my eye's landed on the person who uttered my name out loud and with a hint of disdain on their tone. I stood there for a moment as I could feel the waves of power flowing off the man as it felt familiar to a lot of normal CryoDivers who were able to return with a stronger force than most. I stepped forward, and the scowl on the men fast grew deeper. "Boy!! It's time for your night shift and you're sitting around taking a break, You f*****g Seedless are all the same lazy until someone puts a blade to your neck, NOW GET MOVING BEFORE I KILL YOU." The threat shook me, and I wasted no time in my response with a shout "YES WARDEN KLEMENS." Darting through the mud and tents, I could see the prisoners that were on the morning and evening shift sitting snd conversing. They looked at me as I returned the prisoners and kept going within 5 min a cave or rather a mine came into view and I paused and gazed at in amazement. Whatcha Looking at kid get moving; A voice came from behind me which promote me to turn but as I did there was no one there until I looked forward and there he was. An old man with a slightly hunched back and grey hair. As he got to the entrance and picked a Pickaxe and helmet up without looking back so I followed. At the entrance sat a younger boy than I almost looked as if he was just 10 but I paid him no mind and grabbed a Helmet and pickaxe, As I stepped into the mind I felt a pressure drill down on me as the gravity had been increased by 20, as my ancestor's body had been through it before it took me just a few moments to acclimate myself with it. The Pickaxe felt like I was trying to lift a boulder and walk with it as if it was a thing that was lighter than a feather. The mine's entrance was pitch dark, and the only thing to do is move straight forward. And so I did dragging the pickaxe behind, and within a short time, an orange light glow came into the dark and I stepped out. The mine was in the back of a mound, and as I stepped out and placed my foot on the wooden deck and peered out at the massive chasm that laid before me. A spiral staircase flowed around its walls as Iron changes hug all around and dipping down into it. "The Pit" Is a fitting name for this place as I descended into the Darkness.
