Chapter 15
WARNING
Brody was in front of us before I could respond or even move. I attempted to pull him back, but he wouldn’t move. I appreciate the thought of him trying to protect us, but right now we stand more chance if I distract them and Brody and Callie get a head start.
“Callie, honey, come here.” One of the women spoke, holding her hand out.
I watched as Callie’s eyes went wide, and she gripped hold of Brody’s legs. My eyes darted between the woman, Brody and Callie. I could see the resemblance between them all. This is definitely their mother, Lenora.
A growl spewed from my mouth before I could stop it. I don’t fully know the history between Lenora and my parents, but I know enough to know she tried ruining them both. She’s the reason Brody was injured, and I’d bet my life
