He could see how well he had grown but he couldn’t focus on it well enough, the berserker by his side kept on pushing his buttons. “When are you going to light up again?” Isaac ignored his question as they kept on moving, looking for the next battle like tireless beasts obsessed with blood and battle. “If you won’t talk then there’s no problem. Just make sure to inform me so I can get some beast meat ready.” Isaac almost stumbled at the words, his desire to knock Harry out growing stronger. He knew why Harry was incessantly bugging him as he did. And he’d already tried to explain. When Harry asked how Isaac had literally caught on fire, heating everywhere up for so long that nothing could hardly through the process and yet still came out unscathed, Isaac thought Harry was saying his usual incomprehensible words and dismissed it. He dismissed it only to realize that Harry’s words were actually the truth as something similar had really happened. He couldn’t see it as his eyes were closed throughout the whole thing and his focus was somewhere within himself, somewhere even he didn’t know had existed. But the truth of things was laid bare to his eyes after checking his evidently damaged surroundings. But even though it had happened as Harry said it did, he had no idea how. He didn’t say much about but his body was a mess of things if he cared to put it that way. He hardly understood anything and it was obvious that there was something up with his body. He had no idea what and Astral wasn’t being a good sport about it either. Hence the reason why he decided to just brush it all and wait for it to reveal itself if it eventually did. And so, since he had no idea of how it happened even though he was very sure it had something to do with the birth of a sun inside his body, he had nothing to say. But Harry didn’t believe him and was now bugging him constantly. Feeling curious as to what had happened. It wasn’t every day you got to see a person catch on fire. He could only give Harry a glare as exasperation poured out of him hidden behind the glare. “Would it kill you to shut your mouth, I keep telling you I have no idea.” But that seemed to have little effect on Harry as he cast a curious gaze at Isaac,”You really don’t know anything?” Isaac turned his head to the front, looking away from Harry as he replied, “You know what, think whatever you can. Whatever your thoughts land is the truth, it’s not like you’d believe if I said all of it happened because I have a big sun that just grew in my body.” Hiya had her usual indifferent expression on despite the words they threw back and forth at each other. Meanwhile Harry had a strange gaze in his eyes as he stared at Isaac, “Is that a proverb or something, about you having a big sun in your body. What’s the hidden meaning” Isaac could feel the side of his lips twitching from Harry’s words but through the sheer determination for peace and quiet so he could concentrate, he managed to keep himself from saying anything more. Feeling he’d gotten a clue from Isaac, he withdrew from his role as an interrogator as he turned to face the others walking beside them. “Any of you knows what the expression Isaac just said meant?”. But in the usual manner, he was completely ignored as no one said a word to him in reply. He pestered them a few more times but the only person he was able to force into a conversation was Isaac and Isaac alone, talking to the others would only fall on deaf ears if they chose not to say anything. In the end, he gave up as he walked forward along with them silently as they moved to find another battlefield. Isaac sighed in relief at the new development and thanked the heavens that he could look at properly now. Meanwhile an odd light flashed in Adam’s two black abyss like eyes, disappearing as quickly as it appeared like how light would instantly be drawn into a blackhole on reaching closer to it. He was having a thinking session as they walked, something he had been having fairly often these days ever since he had met back up with Jaden with his new identity now being Isaac. Naturally he thoughts were on the odd happenings that had delayed the trio mountain trial challengers from leaving the mountain for about half a day. Through the conversation that Harry and Isaac had which was more like Harry seriously bothering Isaac, he was informed of what had happened inside. Isaac had no idea how to say it so he could only mumble words when they had come out and Adam had asked what they went through. The conversation then was fairly amusing. “What took the three of you so long to come back out, were the monsters really that hard to do battle with?” Isaac had nothing to say while Harry seemed to have, “We had to wait for a certain someone who had caught on fire to put himself out.” Adam had a confused look in his eyes as he gazed at the two and Hiya who stood to the side saying nothing as she just stared. He followed Harry’s gaze and could see that he was staring at Isaac. ‘Isaac caught on fire?’ He couldn’t understand what Harry was saying so he thought to ignore it as he looked at Isaac, expecting his own clear answer. But Isaac seemed to have nothing to say as he kept quiet like he was acknowledging the words Harry said. This made Isaac perplexed as he looked from each person to the other. Hiya who had been quiet all along and did nothing spoke up to explain, something she very rarely did. So after listening to Hiya’s description of the whole scene that happened, Adam looked at Isaac as he contemplated what happened. But Isaac seemed to want to forget about it as he felt awkward, so he spoke up with another topic to divert the attention. What he said to Adam was also an interesting topic besides Isaac catching on fire mysteriously as Isaac was mentioning the things they had occurred after they had cleared the fifth floor and thus stepped into the boss room. The description of a beast that was basically took all they had to defeat it; with its strength that was way above what Harry- who was a berserker- could handle, and speed that was all so hard to follow but grew even more horrific when it activated some sort of speed burst skill that it had, as well as its unpredictable and unavoidable illusions that froze them somewhat everytime, not to mention it’s creepy appearance and bloodlust filled eyes. On hearing how the beast looked with its eerie black fur and red stripes that ran along its body before ultimately converging at the centre of its forehead, Adam’s eyes showed his being impressed while he couldn’t help grinning as he felt a small amount of pity directed at none other than the three trial challengers who didn’t know what they were and had managed to actually take it down. Things unexpectedly actually happened to be pretty dangerous for them within such a low level mountain. “You three were pretty lucky, you managed to brush by the underworld with the skin on the tip of your nose.” That was Adam’s first words after Isaac had finished describing the wolf king that they fought. “What?” “What do you mean?”, these were the words that came out of Harry and Isaac’s mouth on hearing what Adam had to say. They seemed like they had happened upon a juicy piece of information as they prodded him to explain more, Adam kept a calm smile on as he then said, “That wolf king was a parasitic commensal, you were pretty lucky that you met it this earlier.” When he paused and saw the trio still looking at him with confusion in their eyes, he added one more sentence, “That mountain king was a tier two beast that was on the path to the third tier.” At first there was only a sudden silence. Looking at their expressions, one could see that they felt perplexed. But it only lasted for a second before Harry and Isaac spoke out at the same time with raised voices, “Tier two?!” “That’s right…”, in contrast to their raised voices that held shock, Adam’s reply came out casually as if it was noo big deal which was probably how he thought of it. But Harry and Isaac didn’t think that way like Adam, Isaac mumbled some words to himself and was about to speak up when Hiya’s tranquil voice cut in. “What’s a parasitic commensal?” On hearing her words, Isaac was forced to hold his words back since what she asked was also something they didn’t know anything about. Adam was expecting this question so he began to explain. “Well like how the first word in its name seems, it’s a beast somewhat likened to a parasite, only this time its more than that.” “There are many different types of beasts out there and by extension a lot of head beasts ruling over them within each mountain as the mountain king. Most mountain kings are normal and aggressive just like how it should be. But for some reason or the other, some of the mountain kings are the cruelest of the cruel, even if it was to the beasts under them.”
