Adam watched all this happen from above as a faint smile emerged on his lazy looking face, he also couldn’t help but look forward to see what was to come, Horace spoke in his head at this point,
Horace: There’s most likely going to be disorder and confusion, you should be careful and attentive
Adam: Exactly why I’m standing here, relax buddy. Nothing’s going to happen…
Horace: you’re making them fighting as a team?
Understanding the underlying meaning, Adam replied
Adam: With how weak they are; team work is one good way to cover up for their deficiencies. They’ll be fighting together much more times than you can think of anyways. If they were as strong as I was, they would naturally not need to practice things like teamwork or so, the whole thing would come naturally like we’ve been practicing for so long together.
Horace: But they just so happen not to be…
Adam: …
He continued to look at the three below, opting not to say anymore as he for once let things flow on its own.
The hungry looking beasts could finally not hold back as they charged at the three creatures, if one were to observe this from the side, a huge contrast in the sizes of the two sides could be clearly observed, but that wasn’t enough to waver the hearts already set in stone to slay some oversized cats.
They seemingly gained a mental connection to one another as they too after seeing the lions charge at them, abruptly broke into a sprint at the same time.
There were four beasts and three humans on each side respectively, an obvious imbalance that could prove to be a disadvantage. Facing such a situation, Isaac looked on intently as his eyes roamed in thought.
‘Perhaps, I should find a way to delay the two at the same time…’
With this thought in mind, an image took shape in his mind as his white mist like energy stirred, pouring out of his arms as it congealed relatively quickly into a vague form, all this took place in a very short time range as the vague object was gradually revealing itself to be a long bow, but before it could pass through the final step and congeal itself completely, the whole bow trembled faintly before lines of c***k appeared on the bow following which it dispersed like smoke drifting in the air.
A slight knocking pain immediately assaulted Isaac as he held his head with his two arms lightly, it was unexpected and unusual so Isaac could only grit his teeth and hold on as he regained focus slowly.
As he regained focus, confusion and a peculiar look flitted across his eyes as he mumbled silently to himself, “What just happened…”
His question was answered by Astral who spoke with a slightly peeved tone,
Astral: I’ve already told you that this skill in your possession mostly requires you to use your head, your mental strength!
If you can’t conceive the image of what you want properly in your head, you need a good deal of focus and clear picture of what you’re condensing, this is a rule the skill follows and if you choose to neglect it, it would obviously backfire on you. If you try to condense a bow without knowing its intricacies and composition, then that invasive pain you felt in your head is the only thing you’ll be getting. And besides that, you can’t possibly maintain a bow with your level and practice, leaving aside the bow construct itself, every single arrow you condense and fire takes up a good amount of your energy, if you aim to do what you had in mind, you’d only be able to go through with it halfway before your energy tank runs out…
Isaac could only feel awkward as he realized the truth and wisdom behind the words he just heard. What he actually had in mind to do was to condense a bow in his hands while he shot fast and hard at two of the beasts from a distance, effectively guiding them towards himself while also allowing the other two to be easily taken care off by the others.
But he realized now that he had actually forgotten one thing, and that was the fact that he was not proficient a single bit in using a bow and arrows, although he had already realized he always retained a slight connection and control over any and all constructs whether they were still in his grasp or not, which was how he aimed to use the bow and arrows earlier, it was obviously insufficient to use in a battle that was like this, he would only be able to try his level best and keep a single beast at bay but he wouldn’t be able to do the same with two, and if he could only use such a method with one of the beasts, it wouldn’t be any different from him taking on the beast in close combat quarters. Rendering them with a little more disadvantage than if he just took down the beast much quicker with the last one running amok.
An expressionless Adam looked down at Isaac who was losing his focus in a battle like this as Horace commented in his head,
Horace: He’s making mistakes again… he should remember not to at least lose his concentration…
Adam: “…”
No comment was made as he watched the ongoing battle silently.
“Hey you, what’s so heavy on your mind?!”
A hasty voice knocked Isaac out of his reverie as he came to and noticed the ongoing disadvantageous battle due to his exclusion, he was quick to also notice a hastily charging lion was about a dozen feet away from him, not that he wouldn’t have noticed anyways.
He let out a moderate breath before shrugging as he broke into another run, continuing with his previous momentum as he took note of the last beast that was currently charging at Hiya together with another one of the beasts.
With a single thought stirring the white spiral within him, mysterious white mist erupted out from him as two faintly glowing objects were congealed in both his palms.
It was two sharp looking spikes with mysterious runic writings faintly flowing around it. Immediately after, with swinging arms and a flick of his wrist, the sharp looking spikes flew in a straight path as it approached the location where two beasts and a human were currently doing battle. The beasts were relatively large in size, so it was a fairly easy task for him to aim at them and hit home, although the fact that they were constantly moving was a factor to take into consideration.
Nevertheless, his somewhat careful aiming flew true to its target as the unsuspecting beast that was about to once again from another angle attack the frail looking human in front of it received the two spikes as they pierced deeply into its body.
ROARRR!!!
A deep roar of pain emerged involuntarily from the beast as it trembled slightly and paused in its charge.
A second later, the beast turned its head in the direction it instinctively felt the spike came from as the figure of another human entered its fairly large red pupils, a malicious light flashed in those same eyes as its bloodlust increased.
It’s agro had been changed as it abruptly charged at the new figure, nothing else could enter its eyes at the moment as it growled ferociously.
Hiya who had already noticed the beast constantly circling around her, had her eyes slightly widen as she realized what had just happened.
“i***t… What’s he doing…”
She hadn’t asked for help or avoided the challenge of taking on two beasts at the same time as she obviously had her means, but she also knew how hard it could be for any one of the other two, and now one of the ‘other two’ just happened to help her out by pulling the beasts to his side.
She was about to make a move to pull things back to the previous state when she was suddenly reminded of Adam ’s presence. A look of contemplation flashed across her eyes before ultimately dispersing, he would have to deal with it himself since he dared to do what he did.
She then put her full focus on the only beast charging at her as a peculiar light flitted across her eyes, her thoughts becoming unknown.
Isaac watched the other rapidly approaching beast quickly enlarge in his eyes as he engaged the other beast that had already reached him by evading and parrying where he could. Astral chose to spoke at this moment, his tone slightly cautious towards Isaac’s thoughts and action.
Astral: Are you sure you can take on both of them…
Isaac evaded a claw swipe as he closed his eye and breathed out before abruptly opening them again.
“I’ll do my best…”
