Once again, the vacuum cleaner cord had come out of the plug as she rounded a corner and Silke felt like kicking the darn thing. Wasn’t it enough that Butterscotch, apparently missing Lauren, had decided to raid the trash can in the bathroom, and she had awoken not only to shredded tissues, but also to bits and pieces of a used sanitary napkin strewn across the hall? And who, with Lauren gone to the hospital once again, was forced to clean up the mess? With the world’s worst vacuum cleaner ever! The stupid piece of junk hardly had any sucking power. Not to mention a cord that was so short you were looking for outlets constantly. Now maybe if she used the outlet in her room she could…Shit. She hurried to her laptop and popped it open
