Lauren passed Megan in the lobby on her way out of the hospital. “Much better than yesterday, thank God! She’s still hurting a lot, but is grumbling about more than just the IVs and blood draws. She actually asked me to bring some shampoo so she can wash her hair, though I don’t know quite how we’re going to accomplish that just yet. Still, I think it’s a good sign.”
“I agree. No post-op infection, then?”
“Nope. Your team did a great job! I know she still has a long road ahead of her, but I think she’s past the critical point, now. They’re moving her out of ICU into a regular room later today. I was just headed home for a shower myself.”
