As soon as our professor left, Anie and Jea quickly approached me.
"You're annoying, besh, you really didn't come!" Jea lightly hit my arm as she sat beside me.
"Yeah, Syd. Kevin was waiting for you," Anie added.
"Sorry talaga, my stomach suddenly hurt," I lied.
The truth was, I chose not to go because I got nervous when Brother Vince said he'd be the one to take me. I don't know why, but I just had this feeling that something bad might happen if my brother escorted me. So, I pretended to have a stomachache to avoid going.
"But don't worry, besh, Brother has a plan for you guys. And since you didn't join him on his birthday, he said he'll find a way to make it up to you," Anie explained.
