Because of what Catrine said, Vince didn't proceed with his plan to blind her. Instead, he had Catrine detained by his men to verify the truth of her claims. He immediately called Catrine's father, Mr. Sandro Amelio, to arrange a meeting, citing business matters as the reason for their discussion, as he wanted to invest in his company. They met and talked at a restaurant, where Vince discreetly obtained a sample for the paternity test he intended to conduct; he took the straw from Mr. Sandro Amelio's juice and subtly plucked a strand of his hair as well."

It's already night, but my brother still hasn't come home, and I can't sleep because I keep thinking about where he might be and when he'll come back. He should have just taken me with him.
