Ten Months Later
“Hurry up, dear! Beat that old man again!” Nana shouted loudly.
“Don Antonio! You're about to lose to Ma'am! Hurry up! I bet two hundred on you! I'll lose two hundred if you lose!” another woman shouted.
I urged my horse to run faster, laughing as I looked back. “Looks like I'll beat you again, Grandpa!”
“Well, don't be so sure, dear. I'm the type who never gives up even though I'm old!” Grandpa laughed back at me, now riding alongside me.
We were just one lap away from the finish line in the riding hall.
“What do you say now? I'm about to beat you, dear!” Grandpa laughed and suddenly passed me. He reached the finish line, causing cheers from the people who bet on him.
