* The carriage rumbled along the dirt road, its wheels sinking deep into the mud from the recent rains. The driver, a stout man with a large belly and a thick beard, urged the horses on, their breath visible in the cold air. The man was skilled in the ways of the road and he knew every inch of the journey ahead. He of all people realised the importance of the person he was carrying in the carriage, and he knew that the horses were tired, but they were strong and would make it to their destination. The countryside was a tapestry of greens and browns, the rolling hills dotted with sheep and the occasional farmhouse. The sun was setting, casting a warm golden glow over the land.
