Chapter 12 Sienna’s Pov I sat on the couch, going over notes from Clara’s last message. Luca stood behind me, rubbing my shoulders. “Victor is getting impatient,” I said. “The dinner is tomorrow, and Clara thinks he might test us.” Luca leaned down and kissed the top of my head. “We’ll be ready. I love how strong you are.” I turned and kissed him softly. “I love you too. But this drama is everywhere.” Noah walked in, holding his phone. “Ethan texted me too. He says he has proof Valerie is working with Victor. Wants to meet you alone, Sienna.” Drama hit fast. Luca’s face tightened. “Alone? No way.” I sighed. “He’s worried about me. But I won’t go alone.” Luca sat next to me and pulled me close. “I trust you. It’s him I don’t like. He still wants more than friendship.” I held his hand. “Only you, Luca. I chose you.” We called Ethan together. “Sienna, please,” Ethan said. “This marriage is dangerous. I can get you out. I still care.” His words added more drama. Luca gripped my knee. I answered calmly. “I’m happy here, Ethan. Share the info on the call.” Ethan gave some details about Valerie selling stories. Then he added, “I heard the real Damian is back in the city. Watch your back.” My stomach twisted. Luca stayed quiet, but I felt his tension. After the call, Luca stood up. “The real Damian rumours won’t stop. If he shows at the dinner, everything crashes.” I hugged him tight. “We face it as a team. I won’t let old drama ruin us.” He kissed me deep. “You’re right. But hearing Ethan talk like that makes me jealous. I never felt this before.” I kissed him again. “Good. Because my heart is yours.” We held each other until the feeling passed. Noah tried to help. “I can block Ethan’s number if you want.” I shook my head. “No. We might need his info. But Luca comes first.” Luca smiled a little. “Thank you.” We went back to planning the dinner. “Act normal,” Luca said. “Smile, hold my hand, answer questions short.” I practised with him. He pulled me close between turns. “You look perfect as my wife.” His words warmed me, but the drama lingered. Clara called next. “Victor invited extra people to dinner. And he asked about your brother again.” More drama. “He might use Noah to pressure us,” she warned. Noah looked pale. “I’m sorry I caused this.” I hugged my brother. “It’s not your fault. We’re fixing it.” Luca joined the hug. “We’re family. No blame.” After Clara hung up, Luca kissed me softly. “This is piling up. Victor, Damian, Ethan. But we stay close.” We sat with Noah to talk it out. “What if the real Damian walks in tomorrow?” Noah asked. The question hung heavy. “Then I handle it,” Luca said. “You two stay safe.” I shook my head. “No. We all stay together.” Luca touched my cheek. “I love you for saying that. You make me want to protect our future more than revenge.” I kissed his palm. “That’s what I want too. It's a real life after this mess.” The afternoon brought another message. Unknown number. “Damian knows your secret, Luca. Dinner will be fun.” Drama made my hands shake. I showed Luca. “Someone is playing games.” He deleted it fast. “Victor or the real one. Doesn’t matter. We don’t break.” He pulled me onto his lap and kissed me slow. “Feel this? Real love. Stronger than their lies.” I nodded and kissed back. “Yes. I love you so much it scares me sometimes.” Noah got a call from an old friend. “More rumours about Damian being alive and angry.” He told us. The drama kept coming. “This could explode at dinner,” I said. Luca held me tighter. “Then we act like nothing is wrong. You’re my wife in every way.” We practised more lines. Between them, he found time to whisper sweet things. “Can’t wait for normal days with you.” I smiled. “Me too. Coffee dates. No secrets.” Ethan texted again. “I’m outside the area. Meet quick. Important.” Luca saw it. “He’s persistent.” Jealousy showed in his eyes. I deleted the text. “I’m not meeting him. I told you, it’s you.” To prove it, I kissed Luca hard. “See? All yours.” He softened and kissed me back. “I know. This drama just stirs everything up.” We talked about Ethan. “He was there when I had no one,” I said. “But you are my now and future.” We ate a simple meal with Noah. Talk stayed on tomorrow. “Clara will sit near us,” Luca said. “She can signal if things go wrong.” Noah added ideas. “I’ll stay hidden here with Marco.” I felt grateful. “You’re doing good, Noah.” Luca agreed and kissed my temple. “We all are.” Later alone, Luca and I sat close. “All this outside noise makes me hold you more,” he said. I rested against him. “Same. The real Damian, Victor’s dinner, Ethan’s calls. It tests us.” He nodded. “But we pass. Every time.” We shared many soft kisses. “I dream of us free,” he whispered. “House, family, peace.” I traced his hand. “I dream that too. With you.” Another call from Clara. “Victor mentioned your investigation past, Sienna. Stay sharp.” Drama again. “He knows more than we thought,” I said after. Luca hugged me. “We’ll answer together. No one separates us.” His words helped. We talked late into the evening about small hopes. “I want to cook with you every day,” I said. He laughed softly. “Done. And dance with you.” The romance cut through the tension.
