Chapter 17 There was a copse at the top of Hinckley Ridge. It was closer to Hinckley than Little Hinckley, and two miles from Wheatley, but Shane didn’t stop until he ducked into the close, tight shelter of the trees. Even in here it was cold, but the earth was damp and vaguely cool—rather than simply cold—under his feet. This copse was his and Luke’s, really.
