"Heyy!", Roderick startled Vannette who checking the oven,if her buns were good to go.
Holding her chest, she gasps. "Oh, D-Derick it's you. My heart almost flew out of my chest,why did you scare me like that, popping out from nowhere!"
"Stop exaggerating already, scared cat." Derick rolled his eyes.he said in her voice, mimicking her,"My heart almost flew out of my chest!", Then he added, "Pfffttttt.....Amateur."
Sometimes his best friend, Vannette could be such a scared cat. She was easily scared,one time he dressed as a ghost on halloween and hid in her bathroom, when she saw him, Vannette for real wet her pants!
Vannette pouted," Why do you always make fun of me!"
"Because,last time I checked,that was what friends were for.", He said inching closer and tapping her nose. Her heart skipped a beat with the closure.
" I know!,it's fun teasing me. You are like my sisters!,they never let me hear the end of their teases.", She whined like a complaining child.
He laughed and tucked the loosed strand of hair behind her ear, "You know,you look so cute when you pout while complaining,do you know that?"
" If I look cute,why do you always call me, big head, butt shaped lips, ugly creatur~", He placed his index finger on her lips shushing her up.
" If I let you list all the names I call you,we would die and rotten here,they are too much,even in heaven,that's if you make it there,you would still keep on listing the names I call you.", He shrugged and helped her out in the bakery.
» Derick might not be the most handsome or well builded guy,but he is really sweet, approachable, caring, dotting,nice and funny.
She was moved by his kind gesture, sighting her sisters, Naya and Maya,observing them and whispering amongst themselves, she knew she was in for another round of teases.
Finally,the buns were done and Vannette brought them out, looking at Derick's million dollar expression when she grabbed a bun and took a bite,to taste it,Knowing him so well,she knew he wanted a bite. So,she asked, "You want to have a bite don't you?".
"Curse biscuits,yeah I do!", He said eager to taste Vannette's buns, Vannette handed him the buns,she had a previously taken a bite from,to taste them to Derick,so he could have a bite and taste too.
Wait, after realizing something, Vannette blushed and giggled a little, that was indirect kissing wasn't it?,as their mouths touched the same place, indirectly... ," Why are you laughing?,is there something on my face or is a clown standing behind me. ", He turned back to confirm his second guess,but damnit,there wasn't any clown behind him.
"No...", Vannette answered negatively,but Derick found it hard to believe,as she blushed harder,he reached for the kitchen sink and washed his face to confirm his first guess.
" Silly,I said there was nothing...", Vannette laughed.
"Oh yeah!,you expect me to believe you, when you are laughing..", Derick sighed.
" Big sister Vannette, quit flirting with Derick and come here a customer wants to meet you,he loved the cookies.", Naya screamed.
She could only blush and run to meet the customer who was a fan of her cookies. Naya whispered into Maya's ears," the man is dumb though,how dare him prefer her cookies to her biscuits,her biscuits are way better!"
"Different people with their different tongues.", Maya whispered back and got back to work.
" En.. he needs a new tongue then, because his tongue has lost it's sense of taste,for it to prefer her cookies. ", Naya mumbled..
Maya only rolled her eyes.
