(Damon) The door closed shut behind me, muffling the many voices coming from the kitchen. Elara and Sera were two parts of my world that were never meant to meet. One was my present, the other… a mistake from the past I had paid for more times than I cared to count. I leaned against the hallway wall and ran a hand over my face. I hadn’t slept in over thirty-six hours, but it wasn’t exhaustion that was weighing on me. It was her. Sera. She walked in like she still belonged like no time had passed since she betrayed us all. The last time I saw her was when I left her bleeding in the snow after I shot her. I had burned whatever feelings I had for her the day I found out what she did. I killed her or so I thought but here she was, dragging her secrets back into my life, into Elara’s life
