"It is, Mother," I replied, bowing my head.
"I don't know what happened until you decided to run away. But, remember that this pack will always be your home. You will be safe here while your father will find out what bad deeds Alpha Brynmor has done to make you run away," my mother said. Her face showed worry but for reasons unknown to me, I had a hard time believing her.
I turned to my father. "You don't need to find out about what happened. I ran away because I felt that Alpha Brynmor and I were no longer compatible but he didn't agree with me," I said, deliberately lying.
