Alpha Brynmor's shout shook the entire Bayou. Birds flew away from the Bayou while the ground around us seemed to shake violently and create a small earthquake.
I rushed over to Alpha Brynmor and embraced him as he fell unconscious as the spell cast by Mary stopped. I patted Alpha Brynmor's cheek to wake him up quickly, not knowing that I wouldn't like what happened next.
Alpha Brynmor blinked his eyes a few times. He then looked around him like a fool. And when he saw me, it was like he saw a ghost. He hurriedly got up and walked away from me.
