Olivia’s PoV
“Angelina you f*****g bitch.” I groaned as I opened my eyes.
I wished I didn’t beside I was sure I was still trapped in a nightmare.
I was pretty sure I was lying on a damp, cold floor with no f*****g light. There was no difference if I opened or closed my eyes, it was that dark.
“What the f**k?!” I groaned, my body paining everywhere.
I tried to get up but my legs won’t move because of the heavy chains wrapped around my legs and hands.
Just when I thought I couldn’t get into worse situation I get thrown into a f*****g nightmare much worse than the last.
The last thing I remembered was me hitting my car and passing out while being chased by unknown men.
And now I was here, trapped and clueless. Tears pooled my eyes. Since I found that chest my life had been going downhill. Just when I thought getting blackmailed was the worst thing that could happen, I get kidnapped.
I suspected Angelina Romano was behind this because of her suspicious phone call.
“Hello? Anyone here?” I screamed mustering all the strength.
It was still eerily quiet and no one responded. I didn’t know how long I was trapped in here. My injuries hurt from the cold floor and my head was aching like crazy. I felt like I was going to pass out again.
The next best thing I could do was lay down and close my eyes, try to forget the blooming pain in my body.
But that came with overwhelming overthinking. May be I shouldn’t have pursued this path under emotions. Maybe I was never meant to know the truth. Maybe I was hurting what I have left in chasing what I have already lost. Was I chasing ghosts? Was there any meaning in knowing the truth? Was letting go the best option for me? Was I even capable of doing this?! I did hurt the only parental figures in my life in pursuit of my own selfish decisions. Where was i? Was I going to die in this awful place?
After a long eternity, a heard a door opening from somewhere. Two huge men entered the area. I could only make out their silhouettes because of the dark.
“D-don’t.” I rasped, exhausted.
One of them approached me as I scrambled further back till the chains allowed me to.
Wordlessly the man put a cloth on my head as I struggled in vain. The chains around my limbs dropped. I felt relieved after loosing all that weight.
I was pulled up to me feet, my arms were tied behind my back and I was shoved forward, forced to walk.
I stumbled a few times and pushed around at the turns. My legs burned with pain as it flared through my injuries. I limped as much as I could.
I guess whoever was walking with me lost their patience and grabbed my forearm painfully and started to drag me ahead.
I cried out in pain, my legs giving up and tired scraping against the tiles.
After that painful ordeal, we finally stopped. I was scared and relieved at the same time. The mask was yanked from my head.
The sudden light had me squinting and groaning.
I was shoved to the ground suddenly and I gasped, the wounds tearing open. As I lifted my head I fell back in fear.
Five angry and mean looking men had their eyes locked on me. One man in particular had me trapped in his gaze.
He sat in the middle like he owned the whole room including the people. His jaw stiff and eyes held reflected anger and arrogance. He held a glass of liquor in his hand and a gun in another.
My lips trembled in fear and honestly I felt like I was going to pee myself. No other person in this whole room bothered me as much as his terrifying stare did.
My mouth won’t open to speak. All I could do was hold his stare and hope he doesn’t kill me with that gun.
“An American. How f*****g funny.” One of the men spoke.
Only then I broke the stare off and looked at the person who spoke. My eyebrows furrowed in offence and confusion.
“Why would a girl like you end up like this?” He spoke again.
Now I was really offended. Couldn’t they just kill me without stupid questions?!
“You are the one who kidnapped me you asshole! Don’t kill my brain cells by asking nonsense shit.” I scowled.
“Puta.” He growled and got up.
“Sit the f**k down Rafael.” The one in the middle spoke with so much authority, I was spooked.
Without a word, Rafael sat down.
I snorted. “That’s a good doggie. Listen to your master.”
I shouldn’t have done that because in next moment, I had four guns pointed at me.
I whimpered.
“You think you are a smart b***h. Run that mouth again and you’ll be eating bullets.” A man on the left said.
The one in the middle looked like he was going to get up any moment and strangle me with his huge hands.
He set the glass down and leaned forward, eyes narrowing on me.
“Insult my men again and I’ll empty my gun in your mouth.” He spat with a cold, terrifying tone.
My heart skipped a beat as now my lips refused to move. If he wasn’t literally threatening to murder me, I would have really appreciated his godlike features. My friends would kill to have a boyfriend like him.
“Why am I here?” I asked, my voice small and shaking.
“We have a reason to believe you are a threat to us.” One of the men uttered.
“A threat? Me?” I pointed to myself in disbelief. “Look dude, you got the wrong girl. I don’t even a single clue of what you are saying.”
“Do you know a man named Marcello Bellini?” He asked.
All the blood from my face drained as soon as that name came up.
