My Mate An Hybrid Wolfire

My name is Ariana.   I am an orphan she-wolf. My parents died when I was 3 years old in an accident. Yes not fighting any rogue or other wolves but an accident.. Only person who have been by my side was our Alpha and Luna, my parents best friends. They took me under their wings or paws.? Well whatever it is but they became my Guardian and their son Alex my best friend. Since then we were joined by our hips through thick and thin, partners in crime etc etc etc.........   As we grew up we developed feelings for each other. Now we were not only friends but lovers too. His parents were happy for us but I could feel they were hesitant. On his 18th birthday he was chosen as the new Alpha. It was the most happiest day of our life.  But this happiness was short lived. We were waiting for my 18th birthday which was 14 months after his 18th birthday. We were excited and sure that I am gonna be his fated mate. And he promised me that even if we are not mates then also he will choose me over his mate and infact he wont even go in search of her.  Just few weeks before my birthday my dreams shattered when Alex's Beta Remo invited us for his sister Sofia's 18th birthday party.   ***Flashback***  "I will be down there in a minute Alex."  Today we are going to a birthday party and I am Alex's date like past many years. I look at my reflection in the mirror an emerald cocktail dress which looks amazing with my red hair and green smokey eyes and nude lipstick.  "Perfect." I think and blow a kiss at myself.  I have kept my long red hair down as Alex likes to touch it every now and then. And you know what I love it when he can't keep his hands off me.(wink wink) I go down and find Alex standing by the stairs. He is wearing matching green shirt wth roughly folded sleeves and I am not favouring him but He really looks dashing in black green combo. He is tall and has tanned skin tone and darkest black eyes I have ever seen. Ohh yeah and pitch black shoulder length hair. Ohhhhhhhh I will have tough time keeping those fan girls of him away.  Well back to the topic as soon as he saw me he smiled with brightest smile which lit up the dinning area. This was the reaction I was waiting for.  "Looking gorgeous,princess" said Alex and gave a peck on my lips not wanting to ruin my make up.  "Thank you baby" I said taking his hand and pulling him out of the door. We reached Remo's house.   "Hi Remo, welcoming guests as usual. I see." Alex tease him as they shake hands.  Remo smiles at Alex and then looks at me,  "Looking yumm Ariana." Although he is speaking to me but his eyes are on my cleavage. I know what he is hinting on. I never like the way Remo looks at me. It feels like worms crawling on my skin. He is the known playboy of the pack but no one say anything against him as he is only son and heir of the previous beta. If not for Alex I am sure he would have tried to get me too.   I look for Sofia the b***h. Ohh dont take me for arrogant Alpha's girlfriend who insults everyone. She really is an arrogant b***h. She thinks that whole world is below her feet and she is the most beautiful girl on the earth. Whenever Alex is not around she picks on me and insults me. But infront of Alex she is a sweetheart. Well I didnt have to look for long because she herself came swinging her non existent hips towards us. Well I am not body shaming her but she is really flatron and yeah I hate her.   "Happy Birthday Sofia." I wish her with a heavy heart. Did I tell you I hate her. Well yes I hate her alot.  "Thank you dear" she replies but her focus is completely on Alex. He wishes her and give a kiss on her cheeks and then whole world stopped. They looked in each others eyes and lo they were stuck. None of them blinked and moved and said anything just kept on looking. "Sofia lets go and cut the cake everyone is waiting" I try to get their attention but no reaction and suddenly I find them kissing. They kissed in front of me and Remo. In front of his parents and pretty much everyone.  "MATE" they call each other.  "Alex, what the hell are you doing" I try to pull him towards me but he pushes me away. "Alex.!!!" I call him while falling down but he didnt even look at me.   "Lets go and cut the cake birthday girl"  he speak pulling Sofia in his arms. He forgot his promise to me as soon as he found his mate.  I got up and ran away from there but he didn't come after me.   Next day when we met at the breakfast table, " Alex I want to talk to you. Please come with me" I tell him. But he completely ignored me and behaved as if I am a nobody to him.   ***Flashback Ends***  Since then I became invisible for him. He avoids me like a plague. His mate and her beta started torturing and abusing me. Sofia made me her personal servant. Irony is Alex parents also turned blind eye to my sufferings since that cursed day. They also don't come to my rescue or help. Although they are polite with me and pretend that they care for me but I dont feel that warmth anymore.  "Charles, Claire I want to talk to you both about Remo and Sofia." I tell Alex's parents. "Lets go to my office" replied Charles.  "Charles and Claire please help me. I promise I will stay away from Alex but please talk to Sofia. She insults me and treat me as her servant making me do odd jobs for her. Few times she even hit me in front of others." I share my grievances with them.  "Ariana we know you are compassionate and understanding girl. Please try to look from Sofia's perspective as well. You are her mate's ex and she is jealous of you. Give her sometime, let her take all her frustration out of her system. I assure you she will come around. Do as she say. Obey her and dont retaliate. If hitting you gives her satisfaction then let her. You are our strong girl baby. I know its difficult time for you but when you find your mate you will forget all these pain, I promise. Till then bear with it all silently" Claire consoles me.  "Claire is right dear. We are always there with you. You know that, right. We love you" Charles hugs me and say.  "I love you both too. But there is more. Actually Remo is behaving strangely with me. He touches here and there whenever he gets a chance. Once he even tried to kiss me. And the other day he tore my dress when I was in the kitchen making soup for Sofia. I dont feel comfortable around him. Please atleast talk to him and ask him to stay away from me." It was very hard for me to share this with them.  I can see they are speaking through their link with worried face. Finally my heart calms down. They really care for me. I am happy. "Ariana, please listen to us carefully. Dont take us wrong ,always remember that we love you. You are like our daughter." Charles speak after what felt like a long discussion with his wife. Hearing him say this aloud I feel emotional and start crying.  Claire hugs me let me cry on her shoulders. "Thank you, Charles and Claire. It means alot to me. You both are like second parents for me even without Alex. I love you guys too" after this confession i feel good.  "Ariana, we are really sorry you went through all this. But darling you are misunderstanding Remo. He cares for you and loves you. After that dress mishap he came to us and shared everything with us. He told that he saw how you tore your dress when Alex entered the dinning with Sofia to get his attention and when he stopped you from going infornt of Alex you instead accused him for this. Ariana we know that its not easy for you. But please dont do these things. We didnt raise you like this. Others are questioning our upbringing now. Remo is a good boy so he didnt say anything. Infact he loves you so much that he is still ready to give you a chance. Give him a chance baby and forget about Alex now. Let him be happy with Sofia." It was like a tight slap on my face when Claire told me this.  I tried to make them see the truth but they didnt believe me. Guess what, adoptive parents can never become real parents. That day I cried alot. I miss my parents alot. I was alone now. I lost parents twice and that was the last time I looked up to Charles and Claire for help.
