Chapter 13

*** Midnight Moon Pack ***

It has been 2 days since Midnight Moon Pack has been searching for Ariana. As soon as they realised Ariana is missing Alex sent his wolves to track her but all of thdm came back empty handed. In this chaos and panic no one noticed Elder Drew's absence until now.

Alex has called a meeting with Elders, his parents , Remo and his parents  and his trackers. Everyone came but Elder Drew was absent.

Alex tried to mind-link him and command him to come to the meeting but he got blocked. He tried again but with no results.

"Remo, Elder Drew is blocking me. Send someone to his house to bring him here." Alex told Remo.

Remo asked one the omega wolf guard to go and call Elder Drew.

After 15-20 minutes guard came back alone,

"Alpha, Elder Drew is not at his home. I looked around and asked others they said they didn't see him since reception party. He has not been home in past 2 days." Guard said.

"Where can he go? Ariana is missing since that day and now Elder Drew too. He is blocking me and no one knows where he is? Its fishy, what if he is the one who took Ariana away." Alex pondered.

"Indeed its fishy. We must inform our wolves to look for his scents too. May be we will have more luck in finding him." Remo suggested.

Everyone else in the room agreed to him and so the search for Elder Drew  began too.

*** Silver Moon Pack ***

Daniel didnt leave Ariana's side for the next 2 days. Serena accompanied him most of the times. She was the one who fed and looked after Ariana as Ariana was not comfortable with anyone else touch. Although Daniel was ok with it but still it hurted him to see his mate being afraid of him. He just sat there looking at her. Sometimes in her sleep she reached for his hands and that was a great source of hope for Daniel that she will come back. After that day although Ariana was still same but moments of consciousness were also there. Specially whenever the three of them were in physical contact of each other at the same time.

After discussing it with the Doctor they came to the conclusion that its their bond due to which there is improvement in Ariana, although it was very slight improvement but still it was there. 

On the second day when Elder Drew felt the pressure on his mind by Alpha Alex he decided to pester Val for next course of action.

Now that Daniel was awake Val couldn't decide on his own, especially when the issue is related to Daniel's mate so he approached Daniel,

"Daniel, please come to office with me. We have lots of things to discuss. Its urgent." Saying that Val left for the office giving some space to Daniel.

Daniel looked at Serena who nodded her head in affirmation for unspoken words.

"Its ok. I will stay with Ariana while you are gone. If I will need you I will inform you." Serena said.

Daniel looked at Ariana who was awake but lost in her own world. He turned to leave but after thinking something decided to inform Ariana,

"Ariana, I am going to my office, something has come up which requires my presence. I will come back as soon as I finish my work. Till then Serena will stay with you."

There was slight flicker in Ariana's eyes and then she was back in her own world again. These small moments were the reason for Daniel's hope in going on. So, he didn't give up instead tried more and more.

He wanted to touch her, hold her in his arms. To assure her, protect her but he couldn't do all that, atleast not yet. He made a mistake and now he was regretting it every moment.

With renewed hope he left his flat to go to his office.

In his office other that Val there was an elderly person, he came to know was Elder Drew from Midnight Moon Pack.

After formal introductions with Elder Drew, Daniel took his chair followed by Val and Elder Drew.

Daniel looked at Val and said,

"I wont beat around the bushes. Where did you find Ariana and how did you find her? Why I didnt feel her even though she is alive? And most important who was her kidnapper and what happened to him?"

Val expected Daniel to ask these question so, he was prepared,

"After you fell in 'coma' I intensified the search for Ariana and her kidnapper. Luckily, got hold of one of the members of Midnight Moon Pack. Although, he was of younger generation and didn't have much information, still he was able to show us the path. He told me about Ariana Black and Ariana Blackwood. He said that elders know about the whereabouts of Ariana Blackwood whereas Ariana Black has gone mad and she was in their pack at the moment. So, I decided to attend the wedding of Alpha Alex Lobo. When I went there I met Elder Drew. He told me that Ariana Black and Ariana Blackwood were infact same. It was all done to protect her from her parents murderer. And that Ariana Blackwood is still alive but in some sort of coma. When I saw her I recognised her and with the help of Elder Drew and our wolves I was able to bring Ariana in time to save you all."

Val stopped to take a breath and looked at Daniel. Daniel didnt say anything so he continued,

"That night when you first met Ariana after that she was picked up by Remo Hati and Alex Lobo. If my guess is not wrong then she was in actual running away from them only. Since that night she has been under Beta Remo Hati's 'care'." Val said care making quote sign with his fingers.

"She was kidnapped by him in the pretext of caring for a mentally ill girl. He even pretended to care for her so much that he was ready to marry her inspite of her mental condition. No one in the pack doubted his goodwill, they even praised him for the sacrifice he was making for their beloved Alpha's daughter."

When Val said 'kidnapped' Elder Drew flinched on the word. He still didnt have the clear pitcure of what actually Ariana went through, but he got gist with the way Val was speaking about Remo.

So after Val finished speaking Elder Drew asked furiously,

"What do you mean by kidnapped? What are you both hiding from me? I want to know everything right now."

Seeing a red faced Elder Drew Val knew he cant delay anymore so he mind-linked Daniel,

'Daniel you must tell Elder Drew what happened to Ariana. He is gonna be of great help for us in the future, when will attack the pack.'

But Daniel declined,

'I cant tell him. I am not in the position to word what my Ariana went through. You tell him but keep it short.' After that Daniel tuned himself out and started to reach Ariana again. This has become his habit nowadays. Whenever he got lost in his thoughts automatically his wolf Dom would start connecting with Ariana. But till now he always faced disappointment,  still he didn't give up and keeps on trying.

After telling Elder Drew as much he can, Val called Daniel,

"Daniel, now that everything is clear, what must be our next course of action? Today Elder Drew informed me that Alex Lobo is continuously trying to reach him and I am sure he is suspecting Elder Drew for Ariana's absence."

Daniel pondered upon it for few moments then came to a conclusion,

"I dont want to attack them without Ariana. I want her to see their destruction. As Midnight Moon Pack has been kept in dark and are not responsible for all this we cant harm them in any way."

After thinking some more Daniel added,

"As for Elder Drew, I think for now we cant let them know, that we know what those bàstardś did with Ariana. Its not wise to deny Elder Drew's involvement too. So, we will give them half truth. We dont want them to get alert."

"Elder Drew you speak to them and tell that in the party you were so drunk that you disclosed Ariana's real identity to Val. You even told him about her mental condition. As Alpha Jasper Blackwood helped my parents to get married I was in-debt of them so asked Val to bring her with him for her treatment. Since, Elder Drew was afraid that pack members will get too possessive over Ariana and not allow her to leave he brought her here in secret."

Elder Drew got speechless hearing this suggestion. He was that kind of person who was very difficult to please but seeing how fast Daniel came up with idea he too appreciated his mind.

After discussing all the finer details Elder Drew opened his mind to Alex.

As soon as he did that Alex started shouting at him,

'Where the hell are you Drew? Where is Ariana? You dared to kidnap her. Bring her back this instance. She is not well and you took her to God knows where. You didnt inform us and upon that you got the guts to block me, your Alpha.' For next few minutes  Alex continued his monologue not giving Elder Drew to explain.

Elder Drew realised how ill mannered and ill tempered this boy was. When he heard enough Elder Drew shouted through the mind-link,

"Its ELDER Drew to you, you mannerless brat. Whom are you shouting at? I am your parents Elder. Show your Alpha power to someone else. If you want to get answers ask me politely or else I am going to block you out again. You are too weak to break in so dont even waste your energy.' Elder Drew huffed.

Alex realised his mistake. He wasn't guilty of shouting at Elder Drew, but of giving his true natureaway. So he controlled himself and asked for forgiveness. After he felt Elder Drew calming down he asked again. This time Elder Drew decided to tell him everything as planned.

Alex didnt believe him,

'I wont believe it unless I see her with my own eyes in Silver Moon Pack. I want to come there and see her getting treated with my own eyes then only I will believe that your intentions were pure. If I find out that you were lying then I will personally hunt you down for kidnapping Ariana.'

Elder Drew thought,

'What a hypocrite this man is. The one who kidnapped wants to punish me for kidnapping. What joke.' Keeping his thoughts to himself Elder Drew said as previously planned,

'Ok. I will speak to Alpha Daniel about your interest in visiting Ariana and inform you after getting his permission.' Elder Drew said in a tone which left no doubt in Alex's mind.

After that Elder Drew again shut Alex off his mind and turned to Daniel to inform him,

"That brat said that he wont believe me unless he see it with his own eyes. He wants to come to Silver Moon pack and visit Ariana when she is being treated."

Daniel smiled cruelly,

"Ha, as I expected from him. Dont speak to him for a day. Let him think that you are lying. I want him to be restless. Day after tomorrow you tell him to come after two days from that day. This will give us time to plan our next step. By then there can be major improvements in Ariana. But there is only one issue, his visit can work as shock to Ariana and her condition can even detoriate."

Daniel got serious thinking about this possibility and shivered.

Val thought about this set-back and said,

"We will first ask doctor. If she allows then ok, if not we will let Alex see Ariana from far."

Daniel thought this could work and released his long held breath.

When he saw there were no urgent matter to deal with at present he left to go back to Ariana's side.
