*** Silver Moon Pack ***
Daniel hurried back to his room. He couldn't wait to be with his mates.
But what he saw in the room startled him. Ariana was lying on bed with her head on Serena's lap. Serena was brushing her hair with her fingers. Although Ariana was staring out in the space but still there was slight difference in her composure.
He slowly approached them. Serena looked up with a small smile on her face and signalled him to take his spot on the chair by the bed.
Few minutes after he sat with his hands on the bed Ariana reached for his hand held it. With his hand in hers and head on Serena's lap she immediately fell asleep. Her face was relaxed and peaceful. It was the first time in last 2 days that she relaxed even in her sleep.
When Daniel felt that Ariana is deep in her sleep, he asked Serena,
"Am I dreaming? I just left for 2 hours and there is so much progress."
Serena replied quietly,
"Just few minutes after you left Ariana woke up restless. I think she missed your presence. Her hand was searching for something frantically. Although, her eyes were unfocused but somewhere in her mind she realised you were not there."
"I thought she will get panic attack again, so, I held her. She immediately embraced me." Serena said with tears in her eyes and smile on her face.
"When doctor came to check she too was elated. She said now the recovery will be more fast."
"Doctor said, now she is sub-consciously reacting to the surroundings. She can feel our presence and absence. Our smell. She asked us to talk to her. Slowly she will start grasping and understanding it too."
Daniel smiled, a real smile which reached his eyes, after so many days. Serena was on the cloud. Her sister was getting better. Her mate's other half was getting better.
"Daniel, when she gets better our family will be complete. You, me and Ariana we will leave together always."
Seeing her so happy Daniel didnt want to break her heart. But, he couldn't let her hope high to break it.
"Serena, I dont know how to tell you this. Actually, I have decided that I wont force Ariana to accept us. After what she went through I wont force us on her. She will be free to reject me and walkout of this triangle. But, I wont let her go before avenging her."
Hearing Daniel, tears escaped Serena's eyes. She was so excited just now, thinking about their future together. As she cant give birth due to obvious reasons, she even started dreaming of Daniel and Ariana's kid.
But, she knew Daniel was right. After all that it wont be fair with Ariana to share her mate.
"You are right Daniel. It will be unfair for Ariana if we force her but, I already see her as my li'l sister. I dont want to break all contacts with her even if she dont accept us as life partners."
Daniel didnt want to break her heart anymore. So, he kept silent and didnt point out that keeping touch will also depend upon Ariana.
They sat in silence for some more time, before Serena realised something,
"You went to meet Val. What did he say? Who kidnapped Ariana and how did he find her? Who is Elder Drew? What are you going to do with her kidnapper? Whatever you do I am in. I also want to be there with you at that time and kill him with my bare hands."
Whenever Serena get high on adrenalin it was normal for her to speak so much. Normally silent Serena becomes talkative. Daniel smiled at his mate. There wasn't an ounce of jealousy in her. How she manages to be so accepting, amazed Daniel.
Daniel told everything from the meeting to Serena. By the time he finished, Serena's knuckles were white and she was fuming. If not for the sleeping form on her lap, she would have gone to Midnight Moon Pack immediately, to kill their Alpha and Beta.
Daniel would have done that too but, he wanted Ariana to be present for her revenge. She had to see their end. So, he held on. He held on until the time is right.
In the morning Daniel asked their pack doctor,
"Alex wants to visit Ariana to confirm Elder Drew is not lying. As you already know Alex and Remo are behind Ariana's current situation, is it advisable to let them come infront of her?"
Doctor replied,
"As you know I am not psychiatrist, so I cant be sure about the impact of this meeting in present situation. To be on safer side, we can ask them to come after a week."
Daniel agreed with doctor. He asked Elder Drew to tell it to Alex next day.
*** Midnight Moon Pack ***
Alex after successfully mind-linking with Elder Drew called an immediate meeting with his parents and Hati family.
"I just spoke with Elder Drew. Our guess was right. Ariana is with him. He said that he took Ariana to Silver Moon Pack with their Beta Val, for her treatment."
A surprised look passed on all the others face. All had one question in mind.
'Why did Silver Moon Pack take interest in Ariana?'
Alex answered there unspoken question,
"Apparently Elder Drew in his drunken state blabbered about Ariana's parents. As a result, their Alpha being in debt of Blackwood's decided to help Ariana with the treatment."
Charles Lobo was the first one to react,
"Ohh Moon Goddess, what did that foolish old man do. He spoiled all our years of planning. If Alpha Brown finds out about whatever we did he wont leave us alive. If Ariana comes back to her senses, she will tell them everything. We have to stop that from happening. We cant let this treatment be successful."
Charles started panicking.
"Calm down Dad, we will find a way out. You just relax for now." Alex said.
Charles looked at him angrily,
"You are asking me to calm down. WE TOLD YOU TO NEVER LET ARIANA KNOW ABOUT HER PARENTS DEATH. BUT, YOU BOTH WENT AND TOLD HER EVERYTHING. WE ARE IN THIS SITUATION BECAUSE OF YOUR FOOLISHNESS." Charles pointed at both Alex and Remo.
Teresa Hati, Remo's mother, also decided to give an earful scolding to the youngsters.
"On bachelor's party night, we warned you both, Remo and Sofia, to not do that, but you took it lightly. You thought this was a good way of torturing her, now it has come to haunt us. If not for that, Ariana would still be here, locked in the secret room without this new problem dangling on our head. You all really messed it up."
Charles and Teresa were fuming with anger. Although, Claire and John were angry too but they became a voice of reason. Claire said,
"I am disappointed in you all too, but, this is not the time to lose our wits. We have to plan next course of action." She looked at Alex, "what are you planning to do now?"
Alex replied slowly to his mother, scared of angering his father more.
"I told Elder Drew that, I dont trust his words after what he did so, I want to see them personally in Silver Moon Pack. I will go and check the situation there."
"Elder Drew agreed with that but said, he will inform me about date and time after talking to Alpha Brown."
By now Charles had calmed down under the touch of his mate. After thinking some more he said,
"It means Ariana is still not in the position to tell them anything. So, we are safe for now. Its good that you decided to go there. It will show you under the light of a caring Alpha. But, letting Ariana stay there is not safe for us. Remo, John and I will come with you. We will convince Alpha Brown to let us bring Ariana and Drew back. We have to do this at all cost."
Everyone liked this suggestion and dispersed the meeting for the time being. Now they were waiting for the confirmation from Elder Drew.
