*** Midnight Moon Pack ***

Next day Elder Drew contacted Alex.

'Alex, I have spoken to Alpha Brown. Although he didnt like you doubting him, still he has allowed you to come and see Ariana just to satisfy you. You can come on Wednesday, coming week around 5 pm.'

'Why on Wednesday? Why not by this friday or Saturday?' Alex asked. He wanted to see Ariana soon and bring her back. He cant take the risk of her waking up and spilling everything out. But his questions went unanswered as Elder Drew closed his mind-link off again.

Alex was furious on Elder Drew's behaviour. After all he was the Alpha but was being treated like a child.

He informed others about this,

'Drew informed me just now that Alpha Daniel Brown has given the permission to visit his pack but on coming Wednesday.'

'Why after 1 week? Why not immediately? We cant afford to let that girl stay there much longer.' Remo panicked.

'I asked that oldie, but he didnt reply and closed mind-link again. Once I bring him here I will show him who is the boss.' Alex said grinding his teeth in anger.

'We will deal with him later, first we have to think about the problem inn hand. As Remo said, letting Ariana get proper treatment is not a good news for us. We must bring her back.' Charles piped in.

'They are expecting us on Wednesday, but we can give them a surprise visit. That way, they wont get time to prepare any excuse to stop Ariana there and we also able to gauge their intention.' Sofia suggested.

Everyone liked her suggestion and decided to go to Silver Moon pack after two days.

*** Silver Moon Pack ***

Its been two days since Elder Drew contacted Alex telling him to come next week.

Everything went on smoothly. There has been more improvements in Ariana, Elder Drew was beginning to trust Daniel more.

While Daniel was taking care of Ariana alongwith Serena, Val with the help of Elder Drew and Gamma Ellie looked after the pack.

Daniel was with Ariana when one of the werewolf strolling at the pack border mind-linked him,

'Alpha, there are few people from Midnight Moon Pack wanting to meet you.'

'WHAT.? Who are they.?' Asked Daniel

'Alpha Alex Lobo, Charles Lobo, Beta Remo Hati and John Hati. They said that you are expecting them.' The werewolf informed. 'They asked me to let them in immediately but, since you haven't given us any such instructions I thought of asking you.'

'Those sly gits have got nerve to lie through their teeth. Dont let them come in. Tell them that they will only be allowed to enter at their appointed time which is 5 days from today.'

Daniel instructed guard werewolf. He was furious. Seeing him angry Ariana got scared and hid behind Serena.

"You are scaring Ariana. Calm your wolf down and tell me what happened." Serena said.

Hearing his mate's name Dom quickly calmed down and let Daniel speak,

"Alex and his troop thought that since I allowed them to come and visit it would be a good idea to give us a surprise visit. Upon that they even had an audacity to lie to the guard wolf that I have called them today. Those slimy gits are getting on my nerves now. I just want to tear them off." Daniel's eyes turned black by the end. Serena put her hand on Daniel while Ariana hid behind her more.

"Dom, please calm down. We don't want to scare Ariana more. Its not good for her mental condition." Serena said, "What did you tell the guards? Did you allow them in? Are they coming.?"

"No way, I asked guards to not allow them in and tell them to come on decided date." Daniel cleared.

Hearing this Serena had a troubled expression on her face. Daniel noticed it and asked,

"What happened? Dont worry they wont be able to set foot in our region until I let them in. I wont let them come near Ariana."

"Daniel, actually I am more worried about their intention. What if they were testing us? They might be checking whether we have doubt on them. If we dont allow them in then they can even accuse us of kidnapping their pack member. Until Ariana gets well we wont be able to prove otherwise, afterall Val did kidnap her sort of."

"And Daniel, although you are most powerful Alpha here but we cant stop them from taking Ariana away if they bring other packs next time for 'justice'. I think you must speak to them and ask to come tomorrow instead."

"Whatever you are saying has merit. But, we cant let them meet Ariana so soon. It can have negative impact on her." Daniel replied.

"We will not allow them inside the room or anywhere near Ariana's view. We will just let them see her from far away." Serena suggested.

Daniel liked this suggestion but still decided to consult with others. So, he called Val, Elder Drew and Ellie to come to his office.

In his office.

Daniel discussed everything that happened since morning. Other three were furious hearing their boldness.

When Daniel told them about Serena's suggestion Val and Elder Drew agreed for it hesitatingly.

"Your hesitation is valid and frankly speaking even I am not comfortable with this. But, the alternative is very scary compared to this. Ellie, I have called you for this particular reason. I want you to assign one person near Midnight pack members. If anything goes wrong theu will be ambushed and held in our lock ups and its gonna be your responsibility to arrange for it. But, I want you to stay hidden." Ellie was going to object but Daniel stopped her, 

"I know you are going to say you are big girl now, can look after yourself etc etc. But thats not the reason for this. Actually, if everything goes as planned I want to send you there as an spy until Ariana wakes up. I haven't planned it out yet but I want to keep you as our trump card. I know I can only trust you with this huge responsibility." Ellie was happy that she was going to get such a huge responsibility finally.

"Thank you so much Alpha. I wont let you down, I promise." Ellie said, "I understood the part about trust but why not other men, why me? Dont think I am not happy with this its just that I am curious. Until now you both never gave me challenging jobs thats why."

Daniel smiled,

"Ellie, one reason why we dont give you challenging and difficult job is because you are youngest and like a sister to me. Other reason is that, you were still learning everything so we couldn't burden you. As for letting it this time, you have completed your training, your specialization is in spying because of your age and innocent look. Its very easy for people to let their guards down in front of you. And now when we are dealing with these cunning people you are perfect for the job."

Daniel had given alot of thought into this. When he saw that Ellie's curiosity has been satisfied, he started discussing and planning for next day.

After everything was in motion he contacted Alex. He called him this time instead of mind-linking him and put the phone on speaker so others could hear their conversation.

Alex received the call after 4-5 rings.

"Hello, this is Daniel speaking."

"Hello Daniel. Sorry for late response. I was busy somewhere. So, you are calling instead of mind-link. Is everything all right."

"Ohh yeah, everything is perfect. I was not in the mood to mind link so decided to give a call. Any problem with that."

"No, not at all. Actually, I dont get calls usually unless its from human world.. So,.." Alex paused "ummm, I am sorry we came uninformed today. You know Ariana and I have grown up together and my parents raised her just like their own daughter. We also have been looking for her since that day. So, when we got to know that she is with you we couldn't stop ourselves."

'Smooth' Val voice ranged in Daniel's mind. He glared at his beta and said,

"Of course I can understand that. Although, I am angry at your actions today, I dont like liars and intruders, but just this once I will let it slide. Just because I understand your reason." Daniel replied smoothly as well without showing his true feelings in his words.

Alex relaxed hearing him. He was afraid that may be Daniel knew something, but hearing his explanation his worry disappeared.

"Thank you so much Alpha Daniel. We will always be grateful for your generosity. Thank you for giving me the chance to explain. How can I help you.?" Alex asked

"Its ok. I just called to inform you that you can come tomorrow by 5 pm as decided earlier. But, I dont want my pack to get too crowded so, dont bring much people. And, whoever you are going to bring, inform Elder Drew about it so only those people will be allowed to come." Daniel said that. Even before hearing Alex's reply he disconnected the phone.

With no other option he contacted Elder Drew.

'Elder Drew, I just got a call from Alpha Daniel.' Alex started saying proudly,

'I know brat. Now get to the point. I dont have whole day for useless brats like you.'

Alex face fell on the rebuke.

'Ok. As you know about it. Well Alpha Daniel asked me to inform you about people accompanying me. My father, Remo and his father and I will come.'

Alex said sourly.

With that Elder Drew closed the link off.

'What the hell was that. Why everyone keep treating me like that. I am The Alpha of this pack' Alex was upset with the abrupt ending of calls and conversation again and agian with him.
