Chapter 10

*** Silver Moon Pack ***

Daniel was in his room thinking about the night he met Ariana. Now that he was thinking about it he could see the sign of distress on her face and pleads to saver her in her eyes. She was running when she came in front of his car means she was being chased. Now that he thought about it he was beating himself in his head for being a jerk then and not notice all of these things. If only he would have stopped to think that night this wouldn't have happened to his girl. 

And then he felt it. He felt the dread, the trauma, the shock. This was what his sixth sense was warning him about. He knew whatever it was, it was not good at all. He immediately mind-linked Val to come to him in his Alpha voice

'Val I need you to come to my room this instance. Something is not right I can feel it in my bones, come fast.'

'Ok,' replied  a very sleepy Val. It must be very bad for Daniel to use Alpha command over mind-link so without delaying a moment he rushed to Daniel's side. Its good that he has a flat of his own in the same building.

As soon as he reached Alpha's flat he felt a chill taking over him. It was so bad that it chilled him to his core. It can only happen when the wolf was furious or is out of control. Val immediately understood it must be something related to Ariana.

Without even knocking at the door he went inside. He found Daniel thrashing on the floor. His eyes were completely black but unfocused. His wolf Dom was in control and was muttering just one thing again and again,

'I cant feel her, I cant feel her wolf. I cant feel my mate.' It was like a mantra.

Tears came in Val's eyes. Seeing his mighty and strong Alpha lying and thrashing on the floor. He couldn't see his friend so broken and weak. He tried to get Daniel to take his control back but it seemed that he has lost his will and Dom was not ready to listen to anything. 

One moment Daniel was thrashing on the floor next moment he was hurting himself. Scratching and biting himself. This happens when a wolf loses his mate. When one of the mate dies. Val couldn't believe that they didn't get the chance to rescue her and she died. They failed Ariana. He failed Daniel and Ariana both. As well as Serena. What will happen to her. He was thinking along the line when Serena burst in.

Her eyes were empty of any emotions. She came prepared to die with her mate. She reached Daniel and held him in her arms. Daniel started scratching her as well as himself. The scene infront of Val was too horrific.

'I have to do something fast. If not then both will die this instance. I cant let it happen if I can help it. I will delay the inevitable as long as possible. I cant let go off my two close friends, my family so soon.' Val thought.

With the determination he went and pulled Serena apart and locked her in one room. Then he mind-linked their pack doctor to come immediately with mild dose of wolfsbane potion. He had to use his Beta command on the doctor.

Till the doctor came he held on Daniel tightly. He even got injured in the process of stopping his friend from killing himself. Daniel showed no mercy when he scratched and bit Val in his madness.

Wolfsbane was the only option. There was no other way or else his friends will die. With mild dose of Wolfsbane they will be able to sedate Dom to some extent. He knew that they cant use it for long as its long and heavy dose leads to death in werewolves but he was not ready for the goodbye yet.

Pack doctor came and when he saw the scene before her she understood why Val asked for Wolfsbane. With heavy heart and teary eyes she injected Daniel with wolfsbane. Immediately he went limp in Val's arms.

"I am sorry Daniel. I couldn't find her before it was too late. Its all my fault. I failed you. But I wont let you go until I find the truth about her and punish her kidnapper, her r****t, her murderer. I know its very painful for you and I am being selfish but I will never be able to forgive myself if I dont do atleast this for you my friend, my brother. I am sorry."

Val said to now semi-concious Daniel. Daniel's eyes were flickering between blue and black. Val picked Daniel and put him on his bed. He tied his hands and legs just in case.

"Not a word must go out about this. I want your oath." He commanded Doctor in his Beta voice.

"I give my words as the pack doctor that I wont tell a soul about our Alpha Daniel till you permit me. I give a wolf oath to do as my Beta Val asks me to do." Doctor said. Val took her to Serena to check her injuries. Being a vampire her recovery is much better from the injuries but since it was a wolf wound she needed immediate attention from tje doctor.

Doctor checked on Serena and gave her required treatment. Through out the procedure Serena just sat up like a piece of log. As it is vampires dont breath but she was not blinking even. She was truly undead in every sense.

Doctor left after asking Val to call her in case of emergency else she will come in few hours to give another dose of Wolfsbane to Daniel.

Val sat beside Daniels bed and held his hands till sun rose high up in the sky. Doctor came in to inject Daniel with wolfsbane and forced Val to eat some food. After she left Val decided its time to go and search for the people who were behind all this. He knew it was of no use to inform Daniel and Serena about it but he still did.

Val called his men and asked them to brief the finding till date. Their response was not satisfactory for him.

"You all are useless. We practically own this land and still you are not able to find anything. It looks like I will have to personally go in search for her. I want her dead or alive by hook or crook. Even at the cost of bloodshed. Torture, kill do whatever you can to find out about her. Go to Midnight Moon Pack and ask around. If you have to threaten then threaten them but I want result by tonight." Val was furious. He was scared he will fail again. He didnt want to fail again.

After meeting with the trackers and other wolves in search of Ariana he went straight to Daniel's flat. Seeing Daniel so weak on the bed hurted him still he didn't want to leave his friends side at their last moment. Their end was close and he wanted to spend every possible moment with them.

Doctor came and gave wolfsbane to Daniel. After she left Val couldn't just sit anymore doing nothing so he himself went out to join the search and interrogations.

One of his men got hold on a member of Midnight Moon Pack in one of their pack's club. As soon as he got the news he immediately left to interrogate him.

After reaching the club he asked his men to bring the guy in VIP section. The guy was a teenager. Must be around 16 or 17 years old.

"What is your name? How old are you?" Asked Val angrily.

Boy looked scared and started to stutter.

"I am s..s..sorry. I wont do it ag..again. Ple..please dont p...p..punish me."

Val forcibly brought softness in his voice and asked again.

"Relax. I am not going to punish or harm you. If you answer me truthfully  i will let you go unharmed. I promise. Tell me your name and how old are you?"

"My name is Roberto Martin and I am 17 years old. I know I am underage to visit club. I wont do it again I promise. Its my first time. I wont go to any other club also. Please let me go." Roberto started crying.

"Get us some coke and snacks. Make sure there isn't any alcohol in it." Val asked one of the men.

Hearing him Roberto relaxed a bit.

"Which pack are you from Roberto? You are not from Silver Moon Pack." Val asked feigning ignorance.

"Sir please call me Rob. I am from Midnight Moon Pack. I am sorry I breached your pack boundary and came here being underage I must not have done that. Please dont tell your Alpha or Beta. They are really very scary people i have heard." Rob said.

"Well Rob do you find me scary?" Val asked.

"At first yes but not much now after talking to you." Rob replied.

"Rob my name is Val, beta Val." Val said with a smirk playing on his lips. He liked this boy. Until he met Rob he was planing on the ways to torture him while interrogating but after seeing a teenage scared boy he changed his tactis. When he asked to make sure there wasn't any alcohol he hinted them to add alcohol. It was their way of communicating without alerting other person.

He knew it was wrong for him to do this but desperate measure needed desperate actions. After drinking coke Rob got a bit tipsy thats when Val got to the point.

"Do you know Ariana Blackwood. Tell me about her?" Val said.

"Ariana Blackwood or Ariana Black." Rob replied.

"Aren't they same?"-Val

"No. Only elders and Alpha and Beta and their families knows where is Ariana Blackwood. After that accident of Blackwood's elders feared for Ariana Blackwood's life so they sent her in hiding. As for Ariana Black she is also an orphan of the Lobo's friends. Her parents died when she was 3 years old and since then they sort of adopted her. Then Alex Lobo and she became sweethearts as they grew up. They were about to get married even but Alex met his mate who is Beta Remo's sister. They are getting married tomorrow. Although she is going to be our Luna but no one likes her. She is a bitçh. Ariana is more beautiful and caring than Sofia." Rob said. 

Val was making him get drunk so that he spills the bean and Rob fell right into the trap as he continued his monologue. One thing Val noticed so far was no one knew about Ariana Blackwood. For that he will have to question one of the elders.

'Ohhh shoot. I can ask one of the elders tomorrow in the party. Right now I must focus may be I will get more clues.' Val thought as he tuned himself in the monologue again.

"......Alex started neglecting Ariana for his mate Sofia and it broke Ariana's heart. Then on her birthday she ran away from the pack just when Alex was going to announce Ariana's marriage to Remo. Alex wanted to make up for leaving her and Remo too felt guilty for Ariana so he stepped up to marry her, to mend her broken heart. But Ariana became mentally unstable after Alex's engagement to Sofia and she ran away. They found her back but we have heard that she has gone mad. Still Remo is ready to marry her. Poor guy. He is sacrificing his own happiness. He is a great guy, Remo." Saying that Rob went into deep slumber. He is gonna wake up with a terrible headache in morning for sure. Val asked his men to drop Rob at his pack border.

After thinking about the information he got, Val came to the conclusion that either this Ariana Black is different from the one they were looking or something is terribly wrong going on in the pack and the Ariana Black they are looking for was in the centre of it.

With that thought in his mind he went to check on Daniel and Serena who were same as he left them in the morning. He fell asleep on the chair next to Daniel's bed who was sedated again.

Next morning after doctor left Val called meeting with his pack warriors in his office.

"I am going to the wedding of Alex Lobo with Sofia Hati. I might need you guys. I have a doubt that the girl we were looking for was somehow related to them and they are the one who harmed her. If it is so then we will wipe that pack out of the world map. Go and get ready for the fight. Put all your training and practices in it. I want their Alpha, Beta and Elders dead. Their woman and children must not be touched except other than them there must not be a single survivors including their warrior women. Am I clear?" Val said to his warriors.

They nodded in affirmation and gave a war cry. After the meeting with warriors Val called wedding planner team and asked.

"How did the preparation for the wedding  go? Did you find anything?"

Incharge of the event came forward and briefed Val about it,

"All preparation for the wedding went smoothly alongwith the preparation for the surprise attack in case we might need it. Preparation for the warriors to come and go secretly has been done as well."

Then one of the tracker spoke,

"We asked around for Ariana Black. It seems no one has seen her in past 1 week except the Alpha, Beta and their pack doctor. Pack doctor announced to the pack that Ariana is mentally unstable and must be kept in confinement thats why no one has seen her. She didnt have any friend in the pack and she was taking online course for high school. She used to hang out with Alpha Alex all the time and she was his Girlfriend until he found his mate. She couldn't accept it and gone mad after that. Beta Remo announced that he will marry her to look after her for whole life thats when Alpha Alex declared their wedding to happen in 2 weeks after his own marriage."

Val noticed his update was more or less similar to Rob's. He realised there is no way other than to talk to one of the elders to find out the truth. With his identity he was sure they wont lie to him unless they were also involved in this.

After ending the meeting Val went to get ready for the wedding. With brown eyes, equally brown hair and blue tuxedo he looked quite handsome. He was tall as well around 6'4" . Inspite of his killer look he was without a mate or any girlfriend at this age so for the plus one he chose one of their pack's female fighter to go with him.
