I seemed to stop breathing when I noticed Keira was about to cross the street without even looking at her sides. A loud sound of blowing horns filled the whole place. People were shrieking at the scene. I quickly ran towards Kei, grabbed her waist and pulled her back to the safe side of the road.
“What the hell are you doing?!” I yelled at her.
I was almost out of breath. I seemed to lose my soul the moment I saw Keira was near to getting hit by the big truck.
Keira didn’t answer. She must be shell-shocked of what just happened. I decided to hug her shaking body. Soon after, her shoulders started to shake hard. Her sobs are making sounds.
‘She was crying… hard.’
