Night was rapidly approaching as Marsh pulled the lorry into the petrol station, slamming the gear into park. He sat motionless, staring out the windshield. Beyond the truck, people milled about. Snippets of laughter and conversation floated toward him, the sounds of cars invaded his mind. He came alive suddenly, slamming his fist violently into the steering wheel. The horn let go a sharp beep, causing a group of women passing before him to jump and shoot him glares as they scurried past. Marsh paid them no heed, fighting with the seatbelt as he attempted to free himself from the truck. The stubborn catch held and he snapped.
