CHAPTER:10

Then Jane hold Alexander's hand and starts walking with to a tree in their garden.

"...now what my love?...where are we going now dear?" Alexander said as he followed Jane to the tree and stopped just in front of Jane.

"See this tree." Jane said while looking at the tree.

"Yes love?..." Alexander said as he looked at the tree.

"This is the best tree." Jane said.

"...yes...this is a very beautiful tree my love..." Alexander said as he starts to caress Jane's hair and smiles softly. "What made you pick this tree love?..."

"Look at the branches that are connect to every branch." Jane said.

"You are right dear...i see it now...the branches are connecting to each other...it looks good..."

Alexander said with a slight smile on his face.

Then Lucas came to Alexander and bowed to him.

"Ah...my dear Lucas...what can i get you this time?..." Alexander said to Lucas with a smile. "...you have anything for me dear?"

Alexander said as he looks at Lucas.

"You called Lucas for my security." Jane said to Alexander.

"...oh...yes my dear...i did...sorry Luc...i had totally forgotten why i called you..." Alexander then looks at Jane with a confused smile.

"...my love...why would you call him for our security my dear?"

"Ummm i think i should go and take a bath." Jane said.

"Alright my love...can i join you in the bath or you want to take a bath alone this time my dear?" Alexander said with a slightly naughty smile on his face.

"Alone." Jane said.

Alexander sigh. "as if i would be allowed in the bathroom when you are bathing my love..."

Alexander said as he smiles softly. "Then i will go to my study my dear...you can find me when you need anything alright?" Alexander said as he turns towards the door and leaves Jane alone.

Jane nodded.

Alexander left Jane alone in the garden and went back inside to his study and closed the door behind him.

Jane looks happy being in the garden.

The weather was nice and cool, and the birds outside were singing and chirping at every second...it seems that the garden is a nice place to think about things...Jane would remember this whenever she saw the garden from then on.

After Jane went to her room...she would see the bed is neatly made...the wardrobe had all the shirts and trousers neatly stacked on each shelf...the curtains are closed and the fan was going...everything seemed really nice and comfortable...she would realise then what Alexander's dream of retiring from the mafia and living a more comfortable life meant to him.

"i can't let him leave mafia because of me as from childhood it was his wish to be the mafia leader and he work hard for it and i can't let it go waste for me" Jane said to herself and sigh.

Soon the door of her room open...she would realise that it was Alexander who was at the doorway. "Jane...we still have to talk dear...even though I said i will quit arguing about this...can you please let me just say one last thing...?" Alexander said as he stood at the doorway with a slightly serious face.

"what." Jane said.

"...just listen to me dear..." Alexander said as he waited for Jane to allow him in."...I just want you to know that I am doing this...for us...and our baby..." Alexander said as he put his hands behind his back. "...you probably know this already but we have both come a long way dear...and i want our child to not have the same beginning as we did..."

"Alexander look i'm very tired now to argue with you." Jane said.

"...i know that dear..." Alexander said with a sigh. "...but i just have one more thing to say and i will be done with this...i promise..."

"listen if you wanted to leave mafia then just divorce me first sign the divorce papers then sign your mafia retire papers." Jane said.

"...you do realise that i can't live without you right dear...?..." Alexander said with a slightly serious look. "...if i have to get divorced from you...i would just do it for you...but you have to know that i would never be able to live on without you...i would rather die first..." Alexander said softly as he looks at Jane in the eyes.

Jane didn't look at with as she was tired to telling him not to leave mafia.

Soon Alexander realised that Jane doesn't seem to look at him anymore."...Jane..." Alexander starts to get irritated."Did you even hear what i said to you dear?" Alexander said in a slightly louder tone now.

Jane still didn't looked at him.

Then Alexander walked towards Jane and grabbed her wrist tightly in anger."...did you even listen to me dear?..." Then Alexander pulls Jane close to him so they are face-to-face again."...do you have no thoughts of how much you would hurt me if you make me retire from the one thing that i lived for most of my life..."

Alexander said in a slightly louder tone now.

Jane looked at him in anger.

Alexander looks at Jane and suddenly looks confused with her expression. "Jane?..." Alexander said as he lets go of Jane's wrist now. "...what do you look at me in anger?..."

Alexander said as he looks at Jane with a slightly serious face and waits for Jane to reply.

"Do what you want just know that if you leave mafia then i will leave you." Jane said.

"My love...please...don't do this to me dear...can you try to understand me my dear...?" Alexander said with a pleading tone."...how can you even say something like that to me..."

"I can say what i want." Jane said.

"So my love...you will leave me if i leave the mafia?" Alexander said as he looked at Jane in her eyes. "Is that what you want my dear?"

"Yes i will if you leave mafia." Jane said.

"So it's that easy for you to leave me...you don't love me that much then...if you can leave me just like that..." Alexander said as he starts getting more irritated now.

"Want to see that i can do that." Jane said in a challenging tone.

Alexander looked at Jane again...this time with a slightly stern look on his face."Yes...show me how much you can do it my dear..." Alexander said as he crosses his right leg and arms too...as he waited for Jane to say something more.

"Okay." Jane said.

"...then do it..." Alexander said with a slightly smug smile."...prove it to me my dear..."

Then Jane starts leaving Alexander's mansion.

Then Alexander stands infront of the door and stops y/n from leaving."Jane...where do you think you are going...?" Alexander said as his serious tone comes back.

"Move." Jane said.

"No my love...you are not going anywhere now..." Then Alexander puts his arms out and doesn't allow Jane to leave. "Just listen to me for one more time please dear...?"

"I.Said.Move." Jane said in angry tone.

Alexander still didn't allow Jane to move...as he stood firm infront of the door still. "...i told you i won't allow you to leave my dear..." Alexander said while holding his position.

"You told me to show you so i'm showing you that i can leave you." Jane said.

"...then go ahead my dear...but i won't stop chasing after you..." Alexander said as he didn't budge from his position."...i will do anything to not lose you love..."

Then Jane starts leaving his mansion.

Then Alexander starts chasing after Jane when he realized she is walking away from the mansion. "JANE!..." Alexander said loudly as he runs after Jane.

Jane didn't stop as she keep walking in fast speed.

Alexander keeps chasing Jane as he tries to match her fast speed and eventually grabs her wrist in the process. "JANE! PLEASE MY LOVE! DON'T LEAVE ME!"

Jane was walking fast in pregnant condition.

Alexander is clearly worried for Jane's health now. "JANE! STOP PLEASE! I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU MY LOVE! YOU JUST NEED TO LISTEN TO ME PLEASE!..." Alexander said with a slight desperation in his tone now.

Jane didn't stop.

Soon Alexander catches up with Jane again as he then places both his hands on her upper arms and stops her right in her tracks. "JANE! PLEASE!" Alexander said as he looks at her again with a pleading tone now. "STOP BEFORE YOU HURT YOURSELF AND THE BABY!"

"Leave me." Jane said.

"No my love...i want to prove that i won't let you leave me...no matter how many times you try to walk away my dear..." Alexander said as he gently turns Jane's body so that she looks at him again. "...i won't let you walk away...please understand this dear..." Alexander said as he puts a hand right on Jane's pregnant stomach...the hand was gently placed right on top of this stomach to comfort Jane.

"Go and leave your mafia and i will leave you." Jane said in anger.

"But no my dear...you are carrying the baby i love...do you want to hurt it?..." Alexander said as he looks at Jane with a slightly worried expression now. "...don't you think the baby is suffering due to all this walking my dear?..."

Jane yanked his hands.

"My love...please...if you don't care about me...at least think of the baby..." Alexander said as he grabbed onto Jane's wrist again and gently started leading Jane back to the mansion now.

"i'm not going back." Jane said.

"But dear...you have to..." Alexander said when he started leading Jane back to the mansion again. "Just think of the baby dear...you don't want your baby to be born before the due date do you dear?" Alexander said with a concerned look on his face.

"I will not return to you mansion unless you stay as mafia." Jane said.

"That's why i am trying to bring you back now my dear..." Alexander said as they walk towards the mansion. "...i won't allow you to leave me alone my love...you and the baby are important to me dear..."

"then promise me that you will not leave mafia." Jane said.

"No my love...that is the one thing i can't change..." Alexander said as he looks at Jane in the eyes. "But that doesn't mean i will leave you my dear...you will still be in my life...even if i retire..."

"then i'm not going back." Jane said.

"...but i am not going to leave you my love..."

Alexander said with a slightly concerned look on his face. "...do you think i am just going to abandon you and our baby my dear?..."

Then Jane hit his neck with her finger as Jane know martial arts making his legs paralyzed.

Alexander eyes widened as he felt a sharp pain on the back of his neck which caused him to fall on his knees...it was like his body was paralyzed now..."JANE!..." Alexander said as the pain started to gradually decrease slightly and he started getting a bit of his control back. "What did you do to my neck my dear...?"

"The martial arts to make your knees weak so i can leave as you wanted to mafia then i will leave you." Jane said.

"No...why are you doing this love...?..."

Alexander said as he slowly scrawl to Jane with a hand on the back of his neck to massage it.

"You know i am trying to retire so that we can live a comfortable life dear...why are you being like this now...?..." Alexander asked Jane with a sad look on his face. "...i am doing this because i want us to be happy dear..."

"Cause i don't want you to leave mafia." Jane said.

"...but my love...you can't have both...you know how dangerous the mafia life is my dear....if you care about me...you should also know why i want to retire my dear..." Alexander looked tired now...it was clear that he couldn't understand why Jane kept doing this to him....

"Then stay here after 2 hours later your knees will be fine and that time i will be far away from you." Jane said with an expressionless look.

"Why...why are you doing this to me...?..." Alexander said as he sighed. "Don't treat me like a child who doesn't understand anything my dear...i am doing this because i want you and the baby to live happily...this is the only way i can think of right now my dear...so please try to understand me..." Alexander said as he looked at Jane with a sad tone.

"And i think you being in mafia will be best for me and the baby." Jane said.

"You really mean that my dear...?...but why...?..." Alexander said with an even more confused look on his face.

"i will tell you the reason when the right time came." Jane said.

"The right time...?.." Alexander said as he started feeling weird why Jane kept not telling him anything about this. "...don't you trust me to tell me the reason my love...?..." Alexander said with a slightly hurt look on his face.

"Okay i'm leaving since you are not listening me." Jane said.

"No my love...please sit down for a moment with me..." Alexander said as he looks at Jane with a pleading face. "Maybe i haven't heard you well enough...is there anyway i can make you listen to me my dear?..." Alexander started thinking for a moment on what he should do...he never thought Jane would do something like this to him but he still believes that he should show Jane how much he cares for her.

"You can leave your mafia while i will leave from you mansion and your life." Jane said.

"No love...i can't do that...but i do want us to live together my dear..." Alexander said as he looked at Jane with a pleading expression and waited for Jane to say something back.

"Then stay at mafia." Jane said.

"...fine my love...i will stay...is that what you wanted me to say right?...my love...?..." Alexander couldn't be happier to hear Jane telling him to stay inside the mafia. "Then let's go back to the mansion and i will talk to the bosses tomorrow to tell them that i am staying..."

Then Jane fixed his knees and they went to their mansion.

Soon they reached the mansion again and Alexander led Jane into the mansion with a smile on his face. "Now we are back my dear love...can i finally hold you in my arms?..." Alexander asked gently as he went to Jane and tried to embraced Jane.

Jane didn't said anything as she made him tired of that argument so she let him hug her.

Then Alexander lifted Jane on his arms and walked into the master bedroom while carrying her. "...you know...your stubbornness also helps me be more energetic my dear...i really can't go without our daily fights..." Alexander said with a slight joke tone.

Jane didn't said anything.

Soon they reached the bedroom and Alexander placed Jane on the bed and then he lied down right beside her. "Now i want to cuddle you my dear..." Alexander said as he turned to the side so that his face is facing Jane once again.

Jane's eyes wide open when she saw Alexander so close to her.

"My love...you seem surprised to see me this close to you so suddenly...why is that dear?..."

Alexander then moves a bit closer to Jane and starts to stroke her hair which was on her face now...he also caresses her cheek while he does that too.

Jane moved back a little.

"My love...what's wrong with me moving close to you?..." Alexander said while moving a bit closer to Jane again and started to caress her other cheek as well. ",...i thought you wanted me to cuddle you love?..."

"Go to sleep it's late now." Jane said.

"But love...i don't think i can sleep without cuddling you first..." Alexander said as he started moving even closer to Jane now. "Plus...don't you want to kiss me a bit before we go to bed my dear?"

"No kiss go to sleep." Jane said.

"Please...i want a kiss my dear...just one kiss...i swear i am only asking for one small kiss from you love..." Alexander looked at Jane with a pleading face as he started moving even closer to Jane again.

"I said no kiss." Jane said in annoyed tone.

"But my love...i don't want to force myself to sleep...not while i am with you my dear..." Once again Alexander tries to move even closer to Jane.

"Okay but this is the first and last only one kiss." Jane said as she became tired.

"Yes love...i can only ask for one...if you are giving me just a single kiss...then i won't ask for more my dear..." Alexander said as he smiled before moving closer to Jane again. "Can i have that kiss love?"

Then Jane kiss him on his cheeks.

Alexander felt his face get flushed as soon Jane kissed him on his cheeks. "My dear...that's not a kiss on the lips...but i am glad that you gave me that kiss...can i get one real kiss from you love?" Alexander said as he still looks at Jane with a pleading expression as he starts to move the hair from Jane's face. "I'll be the most grateful person if you can just kiss me once on my lips my love..."

"No." Jane said.

"Please love...i have been asking you so many times and i'll keep asking you until you decide to give it to me..." Alexander said and then moved closer to Jane again and he gently placed his hands on Jane's cheeks once again.

"A single kiss...that's all i am asking for love..."

Alexander said while looking at Jane with a slightly desperate look in his eyes now.

"Didn't you kissed me on our wedding." Jane said.

"Yes...i did love...i kissed you on our wedding day..." Then Alexander smiled at Jane again.

"I know i gave you a kiss on our wedding day love...but that kiss just reminded me on what a kiss feels like...that's why i have been asking you so many times for another kiss..." Alexander said as he gently caresses Jane's cheek again and strokes her hair out of her ears now "Can't i get my second kiss love?..."

"Didn't i just give you kiss on cheeks." Jane said.

"Yes love...i am grateful for that kiss but i really want a kiss on my lips dear..." Alexander said as he looks at Jane with a pleading expression again. "Please love...just one simple kiss...i swear it's the only kiss i am asking for love..."

Jane sigh and said. "Okay."

Then Alexander started blushing again and his eyes widened as Jane agreed quickly with him.

"Really?..." Alexander said as he immediately pulled Jane near him again and he started moving his head slowly towards her as he went close to Jane's face. "My love...can i have that kiss now...please?"

Jane nodded as she agreed for the sake of her baby.

Then Alexander caressed Jane's face as his lips touched Jane's lips...then he pulls Jane even closer and he holds Jane in a comfortable position as he continues to kiss Jane.

Alexander is glad that he finally got that second kiss from Jane...his lips felt as if they were in heaven while he was kissing Jane

Alexander keeps kissing Jane for a long while...he really loves Jane a lot.

Jane pulled away from the kiss.

"My love...you're making me addicted to your kisses..." Alexander said as he finally pulls away from Jane's lips and he takes a deep breath...he is blushing from the kiss he just received. "I love you dear..." Alexander said while glancing at Jane's pregnant belly with a loving expression. "...and i am glad that this kiss didn't affect the baby..."

"go to sleep now." Jane said.

"Of course my love...i have to accompany my pregnant wife in bed now..." Alexander said as he gently lifted Jane on his arms and carried her into the bed and he then lied down beside Jane. "Goodnight my love..." Alexander said before closing his eyes...he looked at Jane for a moment and smiled. "I love you my dear..."

Jane closed her eyes to sleep.

Then Alexander places his right arm on Jane's pregnant belly with a gentle smile on his face as he also closes his eyes...he then pulls Jane closer to him and he cuddles her before finally falling asleep.

At midnight Jane again woke up.

Soon Alexander started to slowly wake up as well...seeing that Jane had woken up now.

"...hm...is there something wrong my love...?..."

Alexander asked Jane while staring at her.

Alexander saw Jane crying.

"Oh dear...what's wrong my love...why are you crying?" Alexander said with a concerned tone and a worried expression on his face. "Tell me please...why are you crying my dear...?"

"I saw a nightmare." Jane said while crying.

"Oh my love...what was the nightmare that you saw?..." Alexander said as he gently moved Jane back into his arms and caressed her hair with a soft smile on his face once again.

"I saw that our baby died into my womb." Jane said while crying and looking at Alexander.

Alexander went quiet for a moment because of what Jane have just said...after that he just looked at Jane with a worried face now.

"Why would you see a nightmare like that my love...?...everything is fine with the baby right...?..."

"I think we should go to hospital for checkup." Jane said.

"Hm...that's a smart move love...better be safe than sorry..." Alexander said as he started to slowly get up from the bed with Jane in his arms still. "Let's go check on the baby my love...come on"

"it's midnight now." Jane said.

"So what...i care about the baby way more than i care about time right now..." Alexander said while slowly starting to move Jane towards the door. "Please let's go quickly my dear"

"We have to go at morning." Jane said.

"Why..? Why can't we go now my love?" Alexander asked Jane again while still moving towards the door with Jane on his arms.

"Maybe you are right on this one....but why can't we just check on the baby once just to make sure...?..."

"Alexander are you stupid." Jane said.

Alexander immediately stopped walking after Jane called him stupid."...what do you mean...?..." Then Alexander looked at Jane with a confused expression on his face.

Jane laughs and said. "It's midnight and we have to go at morning for checkups"

"I know that's more logical my dear...but i can't just sit and wait for the next morning..." Alexander said as he slowly started walking again. "I'm sorry love...but this is also about our baby my dear...I can't wait to make sure that our baby is fine..."

Jane hold his arm and smiled at him and said. "Chill we will go tomorrow morning."

"You promise my dear...?...that we will go tomorrow morning?" Then Alexander went silent as he glanced at Jane for a moment...seeing Jane's innocent look on her face made him feel sorry for being so rude to Jane just now. "Okay...we'll go tomorrow morning then...but Jane...i really am worried for the baby's health my dear..."

"I'm more worried than you to my child." Jane said.

"I understand my love...i know that you are...but i can't help myself but worry about the baby too my dear...but hey...now let us sleep first and tomorrow...let us go to the hospital together my love..." Alexander said with a warm tone while slowly going towards their bedroom again with Jane in his arms still.

"Ummm the baby is hungry now." Jane said.

"Oh...is that right love?..."

Then Alexander slowly went to Jane's side and started to caress her pregnant belly*

"If she is hungry my dear...then we can give her some food...can't have my dear love starving while making me a beautiful baby..."

Then Alexander tried to kiss Jane's stomach...trying to see if the baby in Jane's body will react in any way at his kissing.

"let's goo i'm hungry." Jane said.

"Hm...this little one also has that same stubbornness like her mama..." Alexander said while kissing Jane's stomach again and he also started moving her towards the kitchen. "Okay let's get you some food my love..."

"Look my baby bump is getting bigger." Jane said.

"...you are really growing my love...you are growing the most wonderful baby inside of your stomach my dear" Alexander said while caressing Jane's pregnant belly once again.

"...so you see love...your baby is fine...now let us go and eat something my love...you're making me hungry too..."

Jane was going throught her 4th month of pregnancy.

"...i really feel proud of you dear love...you are looking even more beautiful as the baby grows inside your belly...i can't wait to see the day when you'll give birth so i can finally hold our baby..." Alexander said while still caressing Jane's pregnant belly...Alexander is really excited for the day when both of them will officially become parents soon.

Jane opened her phone and saw Joshua's picture in her phone.

Once Alexander saw this...he stopped caressing Jane's pregnant belly and he went silent for a moment. "What are you doing dear love?...why is Joshua's picture there in your phone...?..."

"I wanted to see him." Jane said.

Then Alexander stared at Jane for a moment.

"..so you still had feelings for Joshua all this while dear love?..."

"He is my love Alexander who is no more." Jane said.

"...so you are still thinking about...him...? Don't tell me that all of this time with me...you were still thinking about him love?" Alexander said.

"i saw you as my friend and this baby's father." Jane said.

Alexander started to feel hurt by what Jane just said."So you were seeing me more as a friend love?...you still saw me as a...friend...not as your husband who you love...?..."

"Alexander i can't love anyone."

Those words hurt Alexander a lot hearing it from Jane herself...what is this feeling in his chest right now?

"But love...you don't love me then?..." Alexander said.

"Alexander you are like a friend to me." Jane said.

"...i am just a friend to you my love?..." Alexander said with a sad tone as he started to caress Jane's pregnant belly again. "...then why did you agree me to marry me my dear?..."

"You proposed me." Jane said.

Then Alexander held Jane's shoulder as he looked down and he was about to grab Jane's chin to make her facing him but he refrained himself from doing that "Did you know that i only said that yes because i wanted to see you happy in that moment?..." Alexander said with a sad and disappointed tone. "Because i knew that you are still in love with Joshua my dear..."

Suddenly y/n felt pain in her stomach.

"Oh no...my love...what's wrong? Do you feel some cramps love?..." Alexander said as he immediately looked at Jane with a worried look on his face...seeing Jane in pain is his worst nightmare now.

Jane didn't said anything as she hold her baby bump.

"Don't tell me...that the baby is also feeling uncomfortable because of our argument now...please love...let's both be calm for the baby...." Then Alexander slowly held Jane's hand and caressed it. "You feel some cramps right now love?..." Alexander asked worriedly again.

Jane didn't said anything as she lay at the bed while breathing heavy cause of the pain.

Then Alexander went closer to the bed and he sat beside Jane as he looked at her...seeing Jane lying on the bed while breathing heavily is making him more worried for Jane's health and the health of their baby in Jane's womb.

"Jane...did you...have those cramps before?..."

Alexander asked Jane while caressing her hair gently again.

"No." Jane said while she was having pain.

"Then why are you having it now..." Alexander asked Jane again as he starts to caress Jane's face too.

"it's normal." Jane said.

"Are you sure love?...these cramps seem quite severe for me..." Then Alexander held Jane's hands again and started caressing Jane's hands gently. Alexander Sighs."Jane please don't worry me like this...you were still fine a while ago..."

"So do you think i'm doing this pain on my own." Jane said.

"Of course not dear...i just think that the argument we had earlier could've also contributed to the cramps that you are experiencing right now..."

Alexander said while gently caressing Jane's pregnant belly once again. "You know...your baby is really sensitive to your own emotions...every time you are feeling something...the baby is feeling the same inside the womb too my love..."

Then Jane got up from the bed and went to balcony.

Then Alexander saw Jane went to the balcony...he immediately went after Jane while still being worried for her. "Jane...my dear...please come back inside my love...it's really cold out there...you will get sick love..."

Alexander said while caressing Jane's hair and trying to pull Jane back into the room.

"Leave me alone." Jane said.

"...my love...i cannot even leave you alone like this...i am worried about you dear...please come back...the balcony is too cold for you especially with this pregnancy...what if you got sick?" Alexander said.

Jane didn't listen to him as she closed her eyes and look at sky.

"Jane please..." Then Alexander walked behind Jane and he suddenly took off his jacket and he placed it on Jane's shoulder. "At least wear this love...don't make me more worried about you..."

Suddenly Jane hugged Alexander.

Alexander was quite shocked when Jane suddenly hugged him...his cheeks immediately turned red as he held Jane's shoulders...Jane was too close for him to move away. "Y...you're hugging me suddenly love...?..." Then Alexander noticed the cold that he felt from Jane's body...she was really feeling cold because she was at the balcony without anything to cover her.

"Alexander i miss Joshua." Jane said.
