CHAPTER:09

"My love...why are you getting mad? I am not being serious when i said Joshua was heavy ok?" Alexander said in a calm tone as he stares at Jane with a neutral expression. "...but my dear...just know that i will always be there for you and the baby...always..."

Jane was about to sleep but the sun starts raising.

*He then looks at the window and then sees the sun starting to rise*

"Good morning my love...it is time to wake up..." Alexander said as he slowly sits on the bed and then looks at Jane. "My love...please accept the fact that i will be the one taking care of you from this point my dear..." Alexander said as he continues to caress Jane's belly.

Jane opens her eyes.

Alexander looks at Jane as he stands up from the bed. "It's already morning my love...did you get your good morning kiss yet?" Alexander said in a somewhat sad tone that he didn't get the chance to give Jane her morning kiss yet.

"i don't need any morning kiss." Jane said in a cold tone.

"My love...i can't believe you just said that"

Alexander said in a playful tone with his hands on his hips. "Come on my dear...i am the father for the baby inside you...i need to give you your morning kiss or i am not gonna be a good dad for the child..." Alexander said as he comes closer to Jane.

"I don't need i said." Jane said.

Then Alexander wraps his arm around Jane's waist and then he puts his face very close to Janne's face."My love...for me it is important to give you that kiss every morning so please let me do it ok?" Alexander said as he looks deep into Jane's eyes.

Jane looked angry. "Didn't i just said i don't need"

"My dear love...this is not a request...this is an order...ok?" Then Alexander puts some force to hold Jane in place so she can't push him away.

"Just accept this from me my love...ok? Just one morning kiss..."

"No." Jane said.

"Please my dear..."Alexander said as he looks at Jane with sad eyes. "I am the one who is gonna be the father of the baby you are carrying my dear...isn't it right for me to give you a morning kiss?" Alexander said in a pleading tone.

"I don't need kiss." Jane said.

"But my dear...please do this small favor for me ok?" Alexander said in his pleading voice. "I have so much love to give to you and the baby...and in order to give it to both of you i must first give you a morning kiss ok?"

"When the baby will be out then give him your morning kisses but i don't need any morning kiss." Jane said.

"Please my love...just accept this small favor from me...ok?" Alexander said in his pleading tone."Just one kiss will make me really happy my dear...that's all i ask..."

"I don't care as i can't be happy." Jane said.

"My dear...please...just one kiss ok?" Alexander starts to look more desperate now. "Please my love...just accept my love for you and the baby dear..."

"Give your love to your baby not me." Jane said.

"My love...why are you rejecting my love like this...i will never stop trying to show you how much you mean to me and the baby..." Alexander said in a slightly sad tone. "...just accept my love dear..."

"Alexander stop it." Jane said in an anger tone.

Alexander looks at Jane and takes a breath.

"...ok my dear...i will stop bugging you with my morning kiss..." Alexander said as he pulls his arms away from Jane's body. "From now on i will not give you my morning kiss...but just know that i will always love you and the baby regardless of your anger..." Alexander said in a very calm tone.

Then Jane went to bathroom to get fresh.

Alexander looks at Jane as she went to the bathroom."Did something happen to you while you were sleeping my dear?" Alexander said in a slightly concerned tone. "...or are you still mad at me?"

Then Jane get ready and went to downstairs to have breakfast.

Alexander also went downstairs."...hey my love...you seem to be very angry with me right now...was it because i forced a morning kiss to you?" Alexander said as he looked at Jane in a concerned tone."I don't want you to carry that anger all day long...i just want to let you know that i am here for you as your lover and as the father of the baby you are carrying..."

Then Jane again starts smiling as she saw her favorite nutella and bread sandwich at breakfast.

"Are you smiling at your breakfast my love? Are you done with being angry at me my dear?" Alexander said as he looks at Jane in a curious tone. "If you ask me...i think you have too much nutella in your breakfast dear...it is really bad for your pregnancy dear..." Alexander said as he sat at the opposite side of Jane.

"No chocolate is better for baby and bread is also good for babys." Jane said.

"How does chocolate is better for baby's my love...i don't understand..." Alexander looks at Jane in a confused tone. "...my dear...it would be more great if you add more fruits to your breakfast since it is very healthy for pregnancy my love..."

"Don't worry i will eat them today." Jane said as she was focused on her food.

"My love...just be careful on what you eat ok?"

Alexander said as he slowly eats his food. "I don't want our baby to be in a bad condition while in your womb..."

"Stella can you get me a glass of milk" Jane said softly to stella the maid.

Stella smiles and nods as she goes to fetch a cup of milk for Jane. Alexander smiles at Stella.

"Thank you Stella.." Alexander said softly as Stella gives Jane her cup of milk. "My dear...I'm just worried about the baby ok?"

Then Jane's elder brother and Alexander's right hand James came there and then he bowed to Alexander and Jane but Jane ignored him while Alexander told James to take a seat.

Alexander smiles at James. "Come here and take a seat James...i want to talk to you about some very important things ok?" Alexander said as Stella left the kitchen. "James...can you keep me company at the dinner table? I have a very important news for you..." Alexander said softly as he continues to caress Jane's belly.

"Sure boss" James said.

"Great...James...i want to let you know about a news...and no one is to know about it alright? I need to make some changes to the family business and i need your help about it..." Alexander said as he puts his hands on James's shoulders and stares at him in a sincere tone.

"Okay James.

Jane ignores her elder brother James and then James left.

Alexander turns and looks at Jane. "My dear...when James your brother came here...he bowed to you and greeted you...but you didn't even reply back..." Alexander said in a slightly concerned tone* "My dear love...i know you are angry at me for my morning kiss...but don't show James such attitude..."

"I know what i have to do with my elder brother." Jane said.

"My love...James is not your enemy my dear he is your brother...and you know how much i trust him in our business...please i don't want you to make him sad ok?" Alexander said gently as he tries to hold Jane's hands. "I just want to know that everyone in our family is getting along well together my love..."

Jane gets up from the table and said."I'm full now and thank you for the breakfast" Then Jane went to her room.

"...my love...wait..." Alexander immediately stands up from the dinner table and runs to Jane. "My dear i still want to talk to you about the family business...can't you at least listen to me about it?" Alexander said as he catches up to Jane and puts his hands on Jane's shoulder to stop her from going to her room.

"I don't want to know about your family business." Jane said in annoyed tone.

"...but my love...i have made a decision for our future...i don't want anyone else to know it so please at least listen to me..." Alexander said as he continues to hold Jane's shoulder*"...if you don't want to listen to me now my dear...just listen to me later ok?" Alexander said in a pleading tone.

"i don't have any interest at mafia things." Jane said.

"I know...but my dear love...please think about us...how long do we want to continue like this? How long do we want to be hidden from the world?..." Alexander said as he slowly caresses Jane's cheek. "...i just don't want us to be hidden in this house like this forever my love..." Alexander said in a sincere tone. "...the family business will bring us a lot of benefits and it can also support your pregnancy my dear..."

"i need to walk at garden." Jane said.

"...but my love...do you think it is safe to go to the garden alone?" Alexander said in a worried tone. "You are pregnant my dear...any accident might not be a good thing for both you and the child..." Alexander said as he continues to caress Jane's cheek gently.

"walk is good for baby as i'm doing what doctor told me." Jane said.

"...what about your security dear?...please...can't you at least take James with you?" Alexander said as he starts to become concerned even more. "...i am just worried about you my love...i love you and the baby too much to see anything happen to both of you..."

"i don't need James or your other securitys." Jane said.

"...but my love...I'm sorry but i can't accept that...i will not allow you to walk outside without me or one of my securitys by your side..." Alexander said as he slowly wraps his arms around Jane's waist. "I know this might sound controlling but as you know...i like to keep you safe my dear...I'm sorry..."

Then Jane angrily said. "then send woozi with me"

"Ok my dear...i will send Jay to accompany you...but i am pretty sure he would not be pleased to go outside with you since he still has a broken leg..." Then Alexander looks at Jane in an angered tone."...i can't understand why do you want to make me angry this early on a morning my dear...i just want to talk to you about our future plans..."

"then send Lucas." Jane said in anger

"...ok...i will tell him to accompany you outside my love..." Alexander said as he takes out his phone and sends a text message to Lucas."Now my love...please listen to me...i just want to talk to you..." Alexander said as he tries to make Jane sit on the couch next to him.

"Talk." Jane said in rude tone.

sigh "...my love..."sigh."I have thought a lot about this since i am now going to be a father soon..." Alexander said as he holds Jane's hand with his right hand."...i want to live in a new house my dear...but that house would not be the house with the family..." Alexander.said as he pauses for a moment."...i had already found the perfect house for us my dear...it is a mansion with everything that we need so both the baby and you can feel comfortable..."

"And." Jane asked in a confused tone.

"And...with the family business...i would have to leave you and the baby at home...since those mafia meeting might become dangerous sometimes my dear..." Alexander said while glancing at the kitchen door."...that is why i made the decision to retire from the business my dear...i want to stay with you and the baby all the time..." Alexander said in a soft tone.

"you are saying that you will leave your mafia thing." Jane said.

"Yes...i have already told the boss and the other members...they were not pleased when i said the news...but i don't really care at this point..."

Alexander said with a sigh."...i just want to show the world that i am not a bad person my love...i want to provide support to you and the baby so you can both live happily in the future..." Alexander said as he starts to stare at Jane in a soft way.

"Are you f*****g out of your mind." Jane said in a surprised tone.

"What? My love...why are you cursing me like that?" Alexander said as he looks at Jan3 in a concerned tone."...is it wrong for me to want both of us to live happily in the future my dear?" Alexander said as he tries to comfort Jane.

"Why the hell leave your mafia." Jane was still shocked.

Alexander sigh."....my love...i want to show the world that i am not a bad person my dear...i want to prove them wrong that i am actually a good person..." Alexander said as he looks at Jane in a sincere tone."...i want to be happy with you and the baby...isn't that enough to at least consider what i just said my love?"

"You should not leave your mafia thing." Jane said in a calm and soft tone.

"...why is that my love?..." Alexander said as he starts to look a little frustrated with Jane."...is it that hard to support this idea of mine? Do you really want me to leave the baby and you just to support my mafia?" Alexander said as he slowly takes his hands off Jane's legs.

"I didn't said that i will leave my baby." Jane looked at him in anger.

"If i continue to support my mafia dear then this is what will happen...i would have to stay late on nights...if i get arrested then what will happen my love?" Alexander said with more concern on his face."...my love...i just want to be the father that this child needs...is that bad? Is that really so wrong of me dear?"

"i know you will not get arrested." Jane said.

"My love...i am only thinking of the worst things that can happen to us...i just want you and the baby to be safe and comfortable in this world...i don't want you two to suffer like i did before..." Alexander said as he softly stares at Jane in a sad tone."...are you really not going to support my decision dear?"

"I have a request to you." Jane said in a soft tone.

"Yes my love...what is your request dear?" Alexander said as he slightly smiles and stares at Jane.

"Don't leave your mafia as i saw you work hard for this mafia emperier." Jane said softly.

"But my love...working hard in the mafia is also a reason that i want to leave the business my dear..." Alexander said as he stands up from the couch."...my love...just please...if you love me...let me leave the business so i can be a better and more reliable father for the baby..."

Alexander said as he slowly walks to Jane.

"And i'm telling you that you should not leave it." Jane said in anger.

Alexander looks at Jane in anger."My love...why are you not supporting me on this decision? Are you really going to make me choose my mafia over you and the baby?..." Alexander said as he walks closer to Jane.

"If you stay at mafia then still the baby and i will be safe." Jane said.

"My love...if i stay in the mafia then i will have to stay at night and you and our baby would be alone most of the time...i don't want that to happen..." Alexander slowly walks towards Jane. "...if i retire from the mafia...i would be able to stay with the two most people important for me my dear...the baby and my love..." Alexander said in a sincere tone.

"I think if you stay at mafia then you can have meeting in zoom while caring your baby." Jane said.

Alexander sigh."...my love...do you really expect me not to attend any meetings with the other members in person? I would get arrested for sure if i don't come to the meetings in person my dear..." Alexander said with more concern in his tone and face."...are you really not going to be on my side in this my dear love?"

"I wanted you to stay at mafia." Jane said.

"...my love...i will give you an offer then...if you want me to stay in the mafia...you have to at least accept one thing alright?" Alexander said as he stares at Jane with a serious face. "If you want me to be in the mafia...you have to at least allow me to retire when the baby is born my dear...can you at least do that for me?" Alexander looks at Jane in a pleading tone.

"You can take vacations now but i dont want you to retire." Jane said in a calm tone.

Alexander sighs. "Very well my dear..."Alexander said as he walks towards Jane and puts his left hand on Jane's shoulder

"...then i can't be with you and the baby every

time my dear...i have no choice but to attend some meetings that will end up being in the evenings..." Alexander said as he slightly lifts up Jane's chin with his left hand. "...i don't know how you will be like when i am not home my love...do you think you would feel lonely?"

"No i will not feel lonely." Jane said.

"You are sure about that my love...? What if the baby is crying...if i am not around to calm him or her down...can you still handle it alone my dear?" Alexander said with more seriousness in his voice.

"i can." Jane said.

"But my love...i don't want you to handle this all on your own my dear..." Alexander said as he looks at Jane with a worried tone. "...i know i can't be there all the time...but i don't want you to be lonely my dear..."

"Why can't you understand i love that you are a mafia." Jane said in a annoyed tone.

"...my dear love...i understand that very well...but do you even realise that i am trying my best trying to be a better person?..."

Alexander said as he puts his hands on Jane's shoulder and tries to look her in the eyes.

"...don't you know that i don't want our child to see me as a criminal my love?..."

"They will not." Jane said.

"You know very well that they will my love..." Alexander said with a slightly confused face.

"...my dear...is it wrong for me to want to give our child a better future?" Alexander said as he softly smiles and tries to look Jane in the eyes.

"...i don't want them to suffer the way i did my love..."

"Just don't retire from your mafia." Jane said.

"But my love...you are not giving me an option here...don't you understand that?" Alexander said with a bit of irritation in his voice."How can you ask me not to retire?..." Alexander said as he lets go of Jane's shoulders and puts his hands on his sides.

Jane looked at him in anger and starts walking fast.

"My love...! Don't go..." Alexander said as he goes after Jane and catches up to Jane. "My dear please...at least listen to my words..." Alexander said as he stops Jane by grabbing her wrist.

"No I don't want to listen." Jane said in anger.

"But my love..." Alexander said with a pleading tone."I just want you to hear me out...and then i will listen to what you have to say after..." Alexander said as he holds Jane's wrist tightly.

"i don't want to hear anything and you will not retire that's final." Jane said.

"But my love...please...i just got this idea yesterday but i can't continue like this my dear..." Alexander said as he slowly caresses Jane's cheek and strokes her hair gently to calm her down."...listen to me dear..." Alexander said in a soft tone."...i have always wanted to do this my dear...i have always wanted to give you your dream of living a comfortable life...i have always wanted to be with you and the baby all the time..."

"i'm comfortable as a mafia's wife." Jane said.

"...but what if you are pregnant and i have to go to some meetings of the family in the evenings my love?" Alexander said with a confused look on his face."...do you really think you won't feel lonely at that time?"

"i'm already pregnant and i can drive my car i can drive myself to the hospital." Jane said.

"But my love i want you to be comfortable and in good health during that time my dear..."

Alexander said as he pulls Jane close so they are face-to-face now."...i want you to have a comfortable seat...a comfortable bed...I want our baby to have a room that the baby can call home my love..." Alexander said as he looks Jane in the eyes with a slightly sad look on his face."...i want you both to live happily my love..."

"You know if you want to retire then divorce me." Jane said in annoyed tone.

"...my love...i would never divorce you...i love you too much to ever let you go my dear..."

Alexander said as his eyes started to fill with tears now. "...i just want to retire...i just want a better future for you and the baby...i just want you both to live happily and comfortably...my love...i would never abandon you and the baby..."

"If your retire then divorce me then get retire." Jane said in anger tone.

"...but my love..." Alexander said with a soft smile."Why do you keep on saying this to me?...when did i hurt you this much that you don't trust me love?...please my dear...i just want to see you live a happy and healthy life my love..."

"I don't know anything i just dont want you to leave mafia." Jane said.

"...my love...i have so many reasons for why i want to leave the mafia...but let me ask you this..." Alexander said as he leans a bit more close to Jane's face. "...if i continue this life...if i will probably get arrested...will you be alright to have a criminal as the father of your child?"

"YOU WILL NOT GET ARRESTED ALEXANDER." Jane yelled at Alexander in anger.

"My love...please don't shout like that..."Alexander said as he lightly touches Jane's face.

"You know what i will not talk with you." Jane said in anger.

"But my love..." Alexander said as he pulls Jane close to him now. "...i just want to tell you why i have to retire from the mafia dear..."

"Then listen i dont want you to leave mafia and that's final." Jane said

Alexander said nothing after hearing what Jane said...he simply looked down with a sad face."...okay my love..."
