CHAPTER:08

Jane went to the balcony getting the cold air hit her skin as she closed her eyes.

Alexander looks at her through the balcony window. "My love...don't hurt yourself please...you are pregnant with our child my dear..." Alexander said while he stares at Jane with a concerned look. "My love...just get some rest...for the sake of the baby please..." Alexander thought to himself.

Jane opened her eyes and looked at the sky as tears are falling from her eyes*

"Why did you left me Joshua was my love not enough that you left me alone in this cruel world at one time i wanted to kill myself but now i can't kill myself as now i have another life with me i'm pregnant with Alexander's baby i can't be selfish if i killed myself now then a innocent life will be also death now i will only live for this baby's sake" Jane said to herself as she looked at the sky.

Then Alexander comes out of the balcony door and approached Jane. "My love...i am sorry for hurting you...please don't hurt yourself...i am here for you...please just don't do anything drastic my dear..." Alexander said in a concerned tone. "I understand you loved Joshua...he was an amazing man my love...but he is not here anymore my love..." Alexander said as he caressed Jane's cheek.

"Don't worry i will not kill myself as i have another innocent life with me." Jane said while looking at the sky.

Alexander smiles gently at Jane and said. "My love...i am really happy to hear that you are not going to harm yourself...this baby needs you my love..." Alexander said as he continues to caress Jane's cheek.

Jane looked at his hand which was touching her cheeks and she became angry.

Alexander looks at Jane with a surprised look and stops caressing Jane's cheek. "My love...why are you angry i was just caring for you..." Alexander said in a questioning tone.

"I don't need your care as i can care myself." Jane said in an anger tone.

Then Alexander looks at Jane and said. "But my love...you are a pregnant woman and i should take care of you..." Alexander said slightly annoyed. "Just as much as i want to care for the baby i also want to take care of you my dear..."

"I told you i can care myself." Jane said.

"My love...you might be pregnant with OUR baby...but you are still a woman that i need to take care of..." Alexander said in a frustrated tone. "Please accept the fact that i want to take care of you my dear..."

"Why can't you understand i can care myself." Jane said annoying tone.

"I already understand that you can care for yourself my love...but it is my duty as a man to also care for you especially in this condition..."

Alexander said while placing his hand on Jane's belly. "Please understand me my dear...i love you..."

"I have to sleep now." Jane said.

Alexander then takes Jane and leads her to her bed and said. "My love...i am here for you so just rest alright...just like the doctor said..." Alexander said as he lays Jane down on the bed and tucks her in."I will stay here to take care of you my dear...just get some rest alright..."

"No need to stay here." Jane said.

"My love i want to be here for you my dear...i am not going to leave you alone alright..." Alexander said as he gets on Jane's bed with her and then said. "Just rest my dear...everything will be alright..."

Jane turned other way and fall into sleep.

Alexander smiles and wraps his arms around Jane and then closes his eyes.

Soon he too fell into sleep.

At midnight Jane wokes up.

Alexander was still asleep and he wraps his arms around Jane.

Alexander seems to smile in his sleep.

Jane looked at his face.

Alexander was smiling in his sleep as Jane was him looking with loving eyes.

Alexander was looking at her while hugging Jane in his sleep.

"You look so innocent in your sleep while you killed my Joshua i cant believe this innocent face can also kill someone" Jane whispers.

Alexander was still smiling in his sleep then suddenly he wakes up and looks at Jane with scared eyes. "M-my love?" Alexander said in a soft tone as he stared at Jane.

"What happened." Jane said.

"Oh nothing my love...i was just having a bad dream..." Alexander said in a half sleepy tone as he stares at Jane. "Why are you awake my dear?"

"Nothing what bad dream did you had." Jane said.

"Just a dream...nothing much my dear...just go back to sleep okay..." Alexander said in a sleepy tone as he wraps his arms around Jane's body.

"Tell me what bad dream you had." Jane said.

"Oh it was nothing much...just a dream of me killing Joshua for us to be together..." Alexander said softly as he smiles gently at Jane. "...what about you? What were you doing just before waking me from my nap my dear?"

Alexander said in a sleepy tone.

"Nothing." Jane said.

"My love you don't want to tell me what you were doing before waking me up huh?" Alexander said with a gentle tone and then he smiled. "Well since i am awake my dear...please don't mind me hugging you for now..." Alexander said as he wraps his arms around Jane again.

"I'm hungry." Jane said.

"Oh my dear...want me to make you something to eat?" Alexander said in a tired tone as he continues to hug Jane. "I don't sleep well without you my dear..." Alexander said as he kisses Jane's cheek.

"As the baby and me both are hungry." Jane said cutely

"Ok then i will go make food for both you and the baby my love..." Alexander said as he gets up from the bed. "My love please go lie down ok...i will make you some food alright?"

"You dont need to go i'll go and tell the maids." Jane said.

"My love...please don't do this to me alright..." Alexander said quickly as he grabbed Jane's arm and sat her back down on the bed. "I said i will go make food for us...please just lie down and rest my dear..." Alexander said while still holding Jane's arm.

"Wait let me also come." Jane said.

"My love...you should be resting and taking care of the baby alright...this is my job to feed the family remember my dear...you need to stay in this bed to take care of the baby alright?" Alexander said in a pleading tone.

"I will be back in a short while so please just wait for me alright?"

"I have different craving." Jane said.

"Oh alright...so what do you crave my dear?." Alexander said.

"Just let me come with you." Jane said as she got up.

Alexander sighs and gives in. "Alright my love...i will let you come with me...but please i hope you don't tire yourself out alright?"

Then Jane went to the kitchen with Alexander.

Alexander smiles as they reach the kitchen and then he looks at Jane. "So my dear...what is the food you crave my love?"

Jane didn't said anything as she walked to the fridge and opened it.

Alexander looks at Jane and said. "Are you craving for a snack my dear?" Alexander said as he walks to the fridge and opens it to see what snacks they have.

Jane smiled when she saw nuetrella and bread.

Alexander sees a nutella bottle and a bread pack. "My love...you hungry for a nutella sandwich?" Alexander said in a half sleepy tone. "Ok i will make it for you my dear..."

Jane take the nutella and bread and starts making sandwich for her.

Alexander smiles and watches her make the sandwich. "My love...why are you making the sandwich if you want me to do it?" Alexander said in a half sleepy tone. "Sit down my dear and rest...i will make the sandwiches for you..."

"No let me do i love to make my own sandwich" Jane said with a smile.

Alexander gives in again and said."Alright my love...sorry for being over-protective..." Alexander then sits down and watches Jane makes herself a sandwich."Can i have one too my dear?" Alexander asks in a half sleepy tone.

"Yeah sure." Jane happily gave the sandwich to him.

Then Alexander takes the sandwich and smiles.

"My love...thank you very much" Then Alexander takes a bite of the sandwich. "Mm...these are delicious my dear..."

"Yes they are and this is my favourite." Jane said.

"I always knew you had good taste my dear...but i didn't knew it was this good..." Alexander said as he takes another bite of the sandwich. "Do you think we can make some more for the rest of the family later my love?"

"Joshua also loved this sandwich as when we went to our date we always had this" Jane said with a smile.

"...Joshua loved nuetrellas too?" Alexander said in a surprised tone as he looked at Jane. "Do you also miss Joshua now my dear?" Alexander continued to eat the sandwich in a slow pace while he looked at Jane.

Jane stops smiling as she realised she spoke her happy moments with him.

Alexander slowly stopped eating the sandwich.

"...my love...i know you love Joshua but he is no longer here...i am here the present...i will be the one to take care of you my dear..." Alexander said with a pleading tone. "Please...for the sake of the baby...just accept this...i will definitely do my best to make you happy alright...? Please don't reject me..."

Jane didnt said anything she quitely eat the sandwich.

Alexander continued to eat the sandwich slowly as Jane quietly eats. "...my love...please say something..." Alexander said in a pleading tone."Please i need to know if you will accept me my dear..." Alexander said as he wraps his arm around Jane and gently caresses her cheek.

"Do you want to drink milk." Jane said.

"Is the milk your craving for now my dear love?" Alexander said in a soft and sleepy tone.

"Ok...i will get you the milk my love..." Alexander said as he takes Jane and walks to the fridge and then he gets a milk carton from the fridge and gives it to Jane."My love...here's the milk...but i still need to know if you will accept me...in order for me to take care of you and the baby my love..."

"Alexander" Jane called him softly.

"Yes? My love?" Alexander said as he looks at Jane. "You need something my dear?"

"I'm with you as the sake of this baby." Jane said.

"...my love...i know you are still hurting deep inside and i know you still remember Joshua my dear...but you can't stay in the past my love..." Alexander said in a saddened tone as he slowly comes close to Jane and hugs her. "...please...just stay with me...i will make you happy my dear..please.."

"I don't care of anything as right now i only care about this baby." Jane said.

"My dear...you just have to accept the fact that Joshua is not here anymore...i understand you may still love Joshua...but it is only right that you accept me for the sake of this innocent life in your belly..." Alexander said with a sad tone as he continues to hug Jane.

"i'm done now." Jane said as she get up from chair.

"...do you mind if i ask...why are you still holding on to Joshua?" Alexander said in a sad tone as he continues to hug Jane while looking at her.

"He show me the true self of me." Jane said.

"True self of you? What about me? Don't i also show you your true self?" Alexander said in a slightly frustrated tone.

"I know him since 15 years." Jane said.

"But you have also been with me for many years right my love?" Alexander said in a pleading tone."Please my dear...just accept me as your lover...i am the father of the baby inside you...it is only right for me to take care of you..."

"Just stay in your limits Alexander i know you are the father of this baby but you are not the man whom i love." Jane said.

Alexander gives Jane a sad look and said.

"My love...i already know that i am not the man you love...but please take me into consideration right now my love...i am taking care of the baby as the child and its mother needs love...Can you just do this one thing for me my love...? Just take me as your lover so i can be with you and the baby..."

"It's enough that you are here to take care of this baby." Jane said.

"So my love...you will not accept me as your lover...?" Alexander said in a saddened tone as he continues to hug Jane."I know i am not the man you love right now...but just take me into consideration as i am the father of this baby..."

"Alexander thank god that i'll give you right to take care of this baby otherwise i can take care of this baby by my own." Jane said in anger tone.

"...but my love...in the past you had to take care of everything by yourself...and the baby you are carrying is OUR child...so is it such a big deal that i take care of us three for now?" Alexander said in a sad tone. "I just don't want another disaster for our family my dear...the child needs love...you need support...and i need to know that in the future our family is safe...so can you just accept me? I don't want to lose the chance to be with the baby and you my love..."

"I'm sleepy now." Jane said.

Alexander gives Jane a tired look. "Ok...if you don't want to accept me for now my dear...just rest alright?..." Alexander lays Jane back on the bed and then smiles at her as he stares at her. "Can i join you my dear?" Alexander said softly.

"You were already sleeping with me before and did i said no to you then why asking now." Jane said.

"...my love please don't get mad ok...?" Then Alexander sits on the bed next to Jane and lays his head on her stomach as he holds her gently.

"My dear...i am gonna take a nap ok?" Alexander said softly as he closes his eyes.

Jane also closes her eyes to sleep.

Alexander falls asleep as fast as Jane falls asleep and while in his sleep his arms are wrapped around Jane's body...the baby inside Jane's belly is also sleeping peacefully.

Suddenly Alexander heard Jane is having nightmare.

Alexander slowly opens his eyes and looks at Jane in a worried tone. "My love...are you having a nightmare?"Alexander said in a slightly sleepy voice.

"no....nooooo.....dont do it....." Jane said in her sleep as she was having a nightmare.

Alexander immediately wakes up and hugs Jane."Shhh my love...i am here...don't worry...whatever it was is not real..." Alexander said in a warm tone as he tried to wake up Jane.

Then Alexander gently kisses Jane's forehead as he caresses her cheeks. "Ssshh my love...i am here ok?...i am not leaving you dear...i am right here..."

"dont leave me Joshua please...." Jane said in her sleep as she was having nightmare.

Alexander looks at Jane in a slightly sad tone.

"My love...Joshua is not here anymore...i am here taking care of you my dear..." Alexander continued to caress Jane's cheeks. "Can you just come back to reality my love?"

"noooo" Jane scream as she woke up from her nightmare.

Alexander looks at Jane in a worried tone as he hugs her tightly with his arms. "My love...what happened? You suddenly woke up from a nightmare?"Alexander said in a calm and soothing tone.

"you go to sleep." Jane said.

"...but my love...what was your nightmare about? You were screaming Joshua's name in your dream..." Alexander said in a worried tone.

Alexander noticed sweats in Jane's forehead.

Then Alexander tries to touch Jane's forehead.

"My love...you are sweating...is everything alright now my dear?" Alexander said as he looked at Jane with a worried tone.

Jane nodded.

Alexander smiles softly and hugs Jane gently. "It's alright now..." Then Alexander lays down on the bed again."...my love...please...i don't want to leave you like Joshua ok?" Alexander said in a soft and pleading tone.

Jane looked at Alexander.

Alexander looks back at Jane and smiled. "Alright my dear...please rest...but this time...may i lay my head on your stomach as you rest?" Alexander said softly.

"But it will hurt the baby." Jane said.

"...it's alright...i am not heavy as Joshua i will definitely not hurt the baby in you my dear love..." Alexander said as he slowly places his head on top of Jane's belly. "Please let me stay here next to you...i don't want you to be alone..."

"Joshua was not heavy." Jane said in a angry tone.

"...my love...don't remind me of Joshua...i get jealous when i think about him..." Alexander said half-jokingly as he starts to caress Jane's belly. "Just relax...i won't do anything to hurt you and the baby..."

Jane didn't said anything as she was angry on Alexander for saying Joshua heavy.
