As soon as I crossed through the portal, Eldon took the bag from me. An urge to fight him rose in me but I pushed it down. Despite my power, he still had an advantage over me, one I couldn’t control. I had to obey my master.
We entered the mansion and went to the summoning room. Eldon placed the other boxes in the circle.
He stepped back and admired the seven boxes we had gathered. “Now we have the fae and the vampire boxes complete.”
“Hm, not complete,” I said.
He turned dark eyes to me. “What do you mean?”
“I couldn’t get Killian in the box,” I said. “I was found out as I was making my way to him.”
