The next morning, Eldon called for me. Since he had told me we were going after a box, I dressed in leggings, a long sleeve tee, and boots. If we were going somewhere cold, well, I hoped he had another thick coat for me.
I stopped in the kitchen on my way to the summoning room, where I grabbed a cup of coffee and a bagel for breakfast. I was giving myself more time to calm down, refocus, play pretend. My stomach was in knots at the thought of finding another box. I mean, Killian and I had mentioned finding them all before, but that had been different. We wanted to destroy them. I didn’t like finding the boxes for these warlocks.
But right now, I had no other option.
I drank my coffee and ate half of my bagel before walking toward the summoning room. I shoved the last piece
