How am I going to eat?! How will I survive?! I call Nathan and tell him everything that has happened. "this is a sign jaz, you have got to let the pills work its magic on you. I know how much you want to be treated with royalty and great respect. give them a try!" I stare at the pill bottle as if it was talking to me, saying that "this is your only option". Curiosity turned into an extreme desperation.I gulped down a pill and fell into a slumber. the sound of construction ripped me away from my rest. Barely at mind, I could tell I wasn't at the trashed and raggedy apartment I once existed at. I propped myself up and looked around the room. "This cannot be real.." I gently glided my hand across the bedsheets and smiled warmly. "you have got to be kidding me... no way!" I stood up and began to give myself a tour around the mansion like castle. As I analyzed the alluring estate and wondered what took me so long. Someone knocked and to my surprise, Nathan was there with a bouquet of roses and a heartfelt smile. I couldn't believe what was happening. he didn't look like himself he was definitely happier. I could say say same for myself.. It was all occurring so fast I couldn't think straight. " can't you believe it jazmine? we aren't low lives anymore! we are free!" he says to me as he gives me the roses.It was really like a dream come true. I wanted to see what else this alternate world has in store for me.

I walked to my old friend's house to see that she was living the same basic and boring life that I once lived. I tried to convince her to try the pill but she denied it and claimed it was "brainwashing" people and that we would realize it soon when the supply decreases and a turmoil began. I scoffed and laughed at her. "what are in those pills?" I pretend not to understand what she was saying. "It doesn't matter they actually change your life!" I barked back to her. "Look at you, you don't even see it, but you changed… for the worst " she says with sorrow in her eyes "you are a leader not a follower!" I began to become furious with her, " I was also broke, a low lifestyle. Now look at me, better than ever I even have a proper date with Nathan . She looks at me in shock, "a date?" I smile, "yes, a date." she stares at the floor for a while before asking me, " do you still have those pills? " I happily get a pill from the bottle and place it in her hand.
