A finger or toenail, a piece of somebody's hair, and a piece of their skin oozed out of the pill.i clasp my hands over my mouth and look away. "This is sick!!" In terror I screamed and began to take pictures of what I discovered. I took the photos and the prescription straight to the police, but to my surprise, they shrugged off what I showed them and made a witty comment, " that's one less person to worry about" and they all laughed and cranked their coffee mugs together. I stormed out of the office. "what is the world comming to?" I think to my self as I approach my apartment and started packing my bags. "This place has gone crazy!" I then realized that the product was being sold worldwide. Where would I go? I plop myself down on the sofa and a spring pokes me. I jump up and do a facepalm. A knock on the door interrupts my train of thought. I walk to the door and open it. "Pay your rent! It's due!" I shifted my focus to the calender posted up on the wall. I notice the date circled that says,"rent will be due." I sigh and place my left hand on my forehead and my left on my hip. "how could I forget.." I say to him as I take the paper from the landlord. I stare at the paper for what seem like forever.
The rent was jaw-dropping. "Excuse me but this doesn't seem right, there has to be a mistake somewhere. I live alone this is an awful lot of money for someone to pay in a place like this." I complain, seconds later a pice of the roof falls behind me. with an eye roll and an attitude he says, "well miss, if you pay attention to the news you would have known about the new update to our society." "thays why everyone is buying that stupid product, it makes you richer." he has the same smile the delivery man had. he continues to shove the paper in my face and point to the words in bold that states ,"RENT DUE!" on the front. "anyways,do you have the money or not? I cannot wait all day" I step away from the door and search my apartment for loose change or anything I did save. I ended up giving him all that I had. "There you go sir 3,450... I will pay the rest when I can. you know me steve! I always find a way to pay you back." he rolls his eyes, "everyone's diffrent now and days but your still an annoying brat so I'll let it slide." he walks away and onto the next door. A slight sigh of relief is released as I close the door. I stare at my apartment for a good minute.
