Today was a new day. A bright, beautiful, slightly breezy new day, and with the window left slightly ajar, the sheets rippled around her perfect body giving her the illusion of an angel sleeping. The white sheets looked almost like her feathers ruffling in the breeze. I brushed her hair aside so I could watch her sleep. Now on her stomach, her hands clasped under her cheek, she had my heart doing all manner of crazy things. I wanted to skip out of bed and make her breakfast, impress her with my kitchen skills. But I had none. Caroline and I existed primarily on take out, and a whole load of freezer bought meals to get us by for the kids sake. Sometimes the housekeeper made a few meals if we asked her. On the other hand I didn't want to leave the bed, although Arlo did needing taking out.
