A Night to Remember (A Night Trilogy Part 1)

CHAPTER 9

Everyone is here, my friends, our classmates, Vielka's friends, and that guy who always follows her- Steven. I got to know him more. I don't know his purpose, but I think Vielka is becoming comfortable with her already. Today's the first death anniversary of Vielka's grandma.

It's been a year since I came to this place- Vielka's house. Vielka became furious and let's say a bit angry that day, but after all the things happened, she came to my place to apologize. How can I hold a grudge to her? She doesn't need to apologize for me to forgive her. 

She came and told me that she didn't mean any of those words she had said.

"I was just sad and tired at that time. I can't absorb anything that happened on that day."

She said those words as an apology.

After that, we became friends again. I chose not to make any move again, even though my feelings for her just became deeper than ever. 

For the whole year of being second-year students, we became partners. Our classmates even called us the king and queen of our room. Well, I didn't find it bad.

We shared laughter, crying moments, and almost everything. I was always at her side because I think that she needs a friend whom she could lean on to.

"Hey, Zach! What are you doing here under the tree? Looks like you are reminiscing, huh?" 

I looked where the voice came from, and I saw Vielka. I am here under the tree around their compound. It's peaceful here. Her approaches changed as we started to be comfortable with each other.

"I am just remembering those memories we had here. Would you mind sitting beside me?" I invited her to join me to reminisce about some of our memories together.

"But..." 

She stopped what she was going to say when she saw me raising my eyebrow to her.

"Fine, five to ten minutes," she said before sitting next to me.

"You know, I am supposed to be there, inside. I need to look out for them. You want my grandma to haunt you?" she jokingly said. We both laughed. She's really beautiful when she's happy.

"Do you remember my first time coming here? We were still small back then, and you rejected me," I said, waiting for her to respond. It was a bit awkward remembering those things. What the hell.

She carefully thought about it and by the time she remembered, she laughed so hard like there's no more tomorrow. I was looking at her, roaming her beautiful face while laughing.

"And last year, you just dumped me in front of Steven, right?" I told her, chuckling.

"We've already settled that, Zach, and again, sorry," she answered smiling, letting me see her pearl-white teeth.

I just can't get angry about her. When she smiles at me, I already knew I'm gonna fall for her. She has captivating eyes, kissable lips, soft voice, smooth hair, and fine personality. She is so perfect. And day-by-day, she's becoming strong and optimistic woman. 

We talked about anything. I felt how she comfortably talked to me.

"You're the closest thing to heaven," I metaphorically said.

"Hmm?" It seems like she didn't hear what I just said.

"Nothing," I said and just smiled at her. 

"I am the closest thing to heaven? What is that?" she asked. I thought she didn't hear me.

"You're the best among women whom I've ever seen," I complimented, and I hope she won't ask anything again. It's getting me tensed.

"You're not answering the question," she said and looked at me weirdly. It's like she was trying to hypnotize me to get some information by those cute little eyes. 

"Is it working?" she said jokingly which made me laugh.

"You're just perfect Vielka," I then seriously said.

I looked at her eyes like the way how she looked at me. From laughing, we suddenly became serious. It seems like everything was in slow motion. I could hear the birds making their wonderful sounds. I could feel her breathe. I can stay like this for the whole day. She is just a perfect creation.

She slowly bit her lips, which made her more attractive. I didn't know why she did that, but it's just perfect. The moment just passed slowly.

"There you are! We were searching for you there. I didn't know you're here." 

The guy who spoke caught attention. I am killing him by ten different ways in just ten minutes on my mind. 

"I'll follow you later, Vielka," I said, and she left me here thinking about something on how I could get her heart.

I saw Lawrence and Clyde coming here at my spot, so I walked towards them.

"Where are we going after?" Clyde asked.

"Maybe to the small house?" I suggested, and both of them agreed. We've planned to drink later. Yeah, we have a small house beside our own house. We usually go there if we wanna hang out.

"Okay, dude. I'll try inviting Vielka. I know you'll like her presence," Lawrence insisted while chuckling. I just smiled because it's true either.

"I'll be expecting that. I'll just interact with the people inside before I go home," I agreed to Lawrence.

"Good luck to your family dinner tonight by the way," Clyde said.

"Thanks. It's a once in a blue moon dinner with the whole family," I answered.

"Yeah, your dad was always busy managing the company. He should also unwind," Clyde responded.

"I told myself earlier, I'll go home afterwards. I just can't help myself but to talk to you after seeing you here again." 

"Shut up Zach, come with me," she suddenly said, and he pulled my hand. We were dawdling. As she opened the door, she immediately removed her hand, and I noticed it trembling. We went outside their house.

When I looked at her face, I saw that she was scared again. The same face a few years ago on that day of the car accident. The same reaction, but now I am on her side. I don't know what she is always seeing, but I can see that she is scared about something.

I held her hands for some time, and she looked at me. The fear slowly disappeared from her face. 

"I-I'm sorry Zach, but you should go," I didn't argue with her anymore, and I walked through the car where my bodyguards are waiting for me.

While walking towards the car, I noticed myself smiling. What the hell! I just held her hands for so long!

"Are you ready, son?" said dad while looking at the mirror, fixing his necktie. I don't know why he looks nervous. He just sighs every single minute. It's just a family dinner. 

"It's just a dinner dad. Don't be too nervous. You look handsome on that suit," I praised him, and I chuckled. 

"I am just excited. After a long time, I am gonna have a dinner date with you and your mom," he answered, and I could actually see how excited he is.

"Okay, I'll just check mom," I said, and I went down to the living room. I saw mom in her outfit. She was wearing a black knee-length dress. She is so beautiful. I've never seen her having that kind of attire. 

We then arrived at the restaurant after we all got ready. Dad made a reservation at that restaurant where we saw many luxury cars of people dining in. It's fancy, indeed. 

The waiter immediately guided us to our table upon seeing my dad. Yeah, I know they will easily recognize him. Not to brag, but we own one among the biggest companies in the world. Anyway, I wasn't sure what would I choose from the many dishes on the menu. Too many to choose from, so I just ordered what did my mom get.

This would be a memorable dinner. I, together with mom and dad, talked about everything. Dad mentioned how the company is going. Mom told us she'll be having an outreach program to the other cities. I also narrated things about my school experiences, so with what's going on between Vielka and me. I love telling them about everything, for I could feel that they are intently listening to me in every detail I say.

While we were happily talking, we didn't notice that other people seldom look at us because we were really laughing out loud by those things we were talking about. The dinner lasted for about an hour, and we got home already afterwards.

Upon reaching the house, I saw Clyde and his car. There's Lawrence's car too but I can't see him, maybe he's still inside his car.

"Where is Vielka? Is she coming?" I immediately asked Clyde while roaming around hoping to see Vielka.

"She's on her way," Clyde responded.

"What? I thought she's coming with you two. Why did you let her walk under the dark?" I asked him, and I saw Lawrence coming towards us. These boys. Aren't they concerned about what might happen to her?

"You prepare everything, and I'll fetch her!" I exclaimed. I don't know why am I this edgy, but I just can't let any girl walk alone at night. I gestured them to go inside immediately and prepare.

I started my car when I opened the gate, and I went to Vielka. I even roamed around the street. She might be on her way near the house. She doesn't even know the way through here either. What the heck, Clyde, and Lawrence. They don't know how to handle girls properly.

While I was on my way, I saw Vielka on her phone at the right side of the road, exactly beside the passenger's seat of my car. Maybe she was texting Clyde or Lawrence. She was looking everywhere while handling something. If I knew she'll come, I should've had fetched her directly from their house.

"Hey come in," I said upon pulling down the window. She was shocked upon seeing me. She came inside the car without hesitation.

"I didn't know you're coming until Clyde told me you're on your way there," I said seriously. I am slightly annoyed just now.

"Sorry. They've told me you had dinner with your family, so we didn't bother you anymore," she apologized. I didn't mind her, and I focused on turning back the car.

"Sorry for pushing you away earlier," she followed. It shocked me. It was nothing to me.

"No, it was fine. I also had to go home that time either," I said smiling. I usually giggle whenever she apologizes.

When we arrived home, I saw Clyde and Lawrence. They were nearly settled on preparing. Vielka gave me what she was holding a while ago, and it was a box of chicken wings. Delicious!

"I was scared a while ago, but I thanked God, Zach came to fetch me," Vielka spoke.

"I even stumbled while walking because of a dog just barked loudly inside a house," Vielka spoke again for the second time. Clyde and Lawrence both laughed while listening.

Vielka kept on talking while I can't help myself but to stare at her. I can't even hear what she was saying. I was just smiling for her to see me listening. She was so beautiful with only her simple white T-shirt and tattered jeans. She's too simple yet beautiful.

"By the way, where's your restroom, Zach?" Vielka asked.

"It's dark outside. I'll just guide you through there. Follow me," I told her, and she immediately followed me.

I sent her to the nearest restroom of our compound. We didn't need to go inside our house anymore. She then entered the restroom, and I waited for her outside. I was playing the grass on the ground by my shoes.

"Zach!" she shouted, and it shocked me when she just messed my hair up with her wet hands. She then ran away.

"Hey what did you do? You just messed up my precious hair. You better run fast, Vielka," I warned her. I think she wanna play. I won't let this beautiful lady ran away from me. 

I chased her around the compound until I got tired. I even stopped and put my hands on my chest to get her attention. It worked. She then came towards me, and I bowed to make it more realistic.

"Zachary!" I was still holding my chest while I was observing her coming towards me.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" she said coming near me. She was about to crouch when I did my plan.

"Got you!" I hugged her, and we both fell on the ground. The grasses touched our skin. She's laying in my arms.

"You just want to touch me, you p*****t!" she teased.

"I'm a p*****t? What the f**k? Vielka!" I said, and I looked at her.

"Okay? So what are you gonna do now?" she said furrowing her eyebrows while looking at me too. 

I positioned myself above her, so she wasn't able to move. I could feel her breath, for I was so close to her. I then slowly leaned closer, and I planted a kiss on her lips. 

I could feel how soft her lips were. I couldn't help it. I moved mine as my eyes were closed. I moved my lips aggressively as she kissed me back. I bit her lower lip for me to gasp for some air. I then continued kissing her through her ears.

As she arched her back, I held her waist and kissed her neck. I slowly bit her neck too, which caused her to moan from pleasure. I felt how she liked it. I felt much pleasure when I kissed her again on her lips while pressing my body onto her and when I stopped, still catching my breath, she had the chance to push me and stood up. 

"I-I'm sorry, Vielka," I only said while she was brushing her clothes.

She didn't know how to respond. I was also embarrassed by what I just did, but I slowly pulled her again near me.

"I meant those things that I just did, Vielka," I said while holding her hand.

"N-no, Zach I---"

I didn't let her finish what she wanted to say. I just held her nape, and I pulled her again for a kiss. I took off her clothes. She was going to say something, but I didn't mind, and I kissed her again. We lay down on the grass as I slowly lowered the kisses that I have given her, and I saw her biting her lips. She may be liked it. I didn't stop, and I won't. 

I took off my clothes and so with her bra. I felt her body when I finally lay on her top while holding her face and giving her another passionate kiss.
