7 Courtney set down her cup and looked at the screen, ignoring the ringing of the house phone as Maria usually answered if she wasn’t busy somewhere else. There was the article she had tried to retrieve earlier. Scanning it, and some others authored by Edward Perkins, she filed away bits of information to ask him about tomorrow. It wasn’t that she didn’t know what he was writing about, but more to quiz him, to verify that he was who he said he was. Glancing at the bottom right corner of her screen, the clock on her computer told her she had forty-five minutes to get to the library.
