Listening to her say she was leaving, it wasn't safe for her and her family here. Something stirred inside him, and he had this need to stop her. He jumped from his seat and just kissed her. She actually let and, to his shock, kissed him back.

"Well Phoenix are unique we can sense our mate before a full moon unlike most wolves and when you kissed me we kind of panicked we never thought we'd ever get a chance to meet our mate so kind of just pushed it aside. Phoenix , we mate for life, and once we know it's kind of hard to stay away." she said.

"Kind of panicked really, we were worried this pack would get hurt. You would announce you have a Luna. I was worried they'd find out. plus, we didn't get off to a good start, so i didn't think I or we wanted each other. Cyan feels the bond and wants her mate." she said.

He mind linked this grandfather, his unit, and asked them to meet him at his office at 10 am after breakfast. All agreed, he told them he'd explain after breakfast.

We quickly ate in the dining hall. He wanted to get out what he'd learn about Alex life and show her if she was going to he his mate and luna he needed to be honest then after this meeting he was having a piece of his father.

He heard a knock at the door 15 mins before everyone was meant to turn up. Alex popped her head through the door. "Hello, how are you? " she asked. Good he'll be better if you get your a** in here. She smiled. "Mother is just feeding Blake and she'll be right down." She said.

She walked in and sat on the sofa in front of his desk. No, no, that's not happening. She laughed she was teasing him. He'll be good.He saw a little mischievous smile on her face. She got up, walked over to him climbed in to his chair, fully straddling him. She moved her mouth right to his ear.

Then, she grabbed his face and kissed him while still straddling him. He heard someone clear their throat. "Is this why you invited us here." Garret said, smirking. Alex climbed off him and giggled "Oh don't stop on our account." Gio said.

"Nice to see you two finally getting along." Raven said.

Yes, we are, and no this isn't why we invited you all here. "We?" Garrret said. Yes, him and Alex please sit we are just waiting for his grandfather and Luna Brooke. "Luna Brooke? I see my daughter has told you everything?" Brooke said.

Brooke walked into the room with a sleeping Blake. Yes, she has. Please sit. Grandfather followed her in. Yes, Alex has told him everything about her home pack, how she ended up here. The enemy and what her shifter is, and most importantly, what he is to her. He turned to Alex. You want to explain.

Alex repeated everything she had told him last night to his unit. She kept out that she said they would be mate's and her shifter. Raven got up and hugged her. "That's awful, Alex, Brooke. You've been through an awful time. What can we do to help?" she said.

"Well, we normally don't stay in one place too long," Alex said. Brooke nodded in agreement. " I can't leave this time, my shifter. Our shifters are unique, and we can sense our mate way before the full moon and even sometimes before our future mate does," she said.

Everyone was staring at him now. "My shifter is a blue water phoenix. I can sense Alpha Tristan is my mate. So we can't leave she would be in pain if we did, and I won't put my Cyan through that. So we will staying but they are concerns about that," she said. Not for him

"My luna." No one will hurt you, your mother, or your brother while you are here. He will make sure of that.

"The pack?" she asked.

"I say she tell them the truth and tell them what you are to each other that you are clearly waiting for the full moon to confirm it and that an enemy could appear here," Grandfather said.

His unit was just staring at him with no words. Garret, Gio, and Raven, what you say? All just looked at Alex. What's wrong? All just jumped up and flattened him to the ground. He heard Alex giggle.

Hell, take that as you're all happy? "Hell yes, we are finally. We knew you really wanted a mate." Gio said. If he's honest, he didn't. After what happened to his brother and his Luna, he didn't want to put someone through that. Alex is different. We are taking it slow till the full moon unless he scents her out before then and getting to know each other.

"You won't, son?" Brooke said. He won't what? "You won't scent her before then . A phoenix true scent only appears on the full moon for 24 hours, then he or she goes back to their normal scent. It's how we keep hidden and protected from those that will use us harm us." Brooke said.

He looked at Alex. "Sorry, I was going to tell you, but you looked very happy last night, and this morning, I didn't want to burst your happy bubble. "She said.
