The Last Water Phoenix

She stood outside the car, fulling it with fuel. She was trying to figure out what to do next. Her mother was due to give birth any day now. Her father was missing. They'd set up camp in a nearby forest in the human realm. He said he was going to find some help since mom was pregnant. He went to find us help and never returned. She hasn't felt him sever from her mother or herself. So he's still alive. She knows something is wrong. Father told her if she hadn't heard from him in 3 days to leave and he would come find them. So that's what she did. She packed up their camping gear and placed it all the boot of the car and left. Started driving across France. They were headed for a portal that would take them through to the Wolven realm. Dad knew a councilman who was an old family friend who might be able to help. They've not had an easy life. 10 years ago, her father Alpha Alexander and her mother, Luna Brooke, went to visit her home pack it was a small pack of White Phoenix's shifters only 200. The pack was in the snowy mountain in the enchanted realm about 6 hours' drive from their pack Deep Blue Lake, a blue water phoenix pack She was only 10 years old at the time. They were travelling back, and her father got word from their beta Ken not to return they were under attack from Wolves and vampires and weren't going to survive the battle. Father felt them sever from him to a point he was numb and couldn't tell how many were gone. So we spent the next few weeks travelling in the car, the car we travelled home in. Staying where we could. Mom and dad's phoenix would catch us food, and we'd cook it normally in a nearby campsit. That was until the vampires caught up with us. Her parent's managed to kill them but knew we couldn't ever see family again or go to allied packs we couldn't risk bringing war to them. So we sold the car in case the dead vampires had already sent word of what we were driving to their coven leader and left everything behind. We moved on every 4 to 6 months, and we would move to another realm in a completely different area than before. Mom and dad would only take short-term jobs. We only rented accommodation or camped.She did online schooling, as it was too risky for her to go to actual school. Her parents felt bad, but even at a young age, she knew the risks. She hung out with other kids and easily made friends. If they asked her if she ever wanted to go to actual school with them, she would just say its part of her culture to learn at home, and it never got any more questions asked of her. She actually loved just being with her parents, travelling the world, and learning new things. It was the best education a child could ask for. She can speak 5 languages what 20 year old could say that. It's mostly how she earns money. She teached kids, adults, all the different languages. She can speak French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. All comes in handy at some point. Now, she was currently driving to the portal it was very late. Mom was tired and uncomfortable in the back seat. Mom, she'll find somewhere for us to settle for the night we aren't for from the portal. Mom nodded. She reached out to touch her hand. Please don't worry. She and Cyan would never let anything happen to you. "I know, darling, thank you. I can't shift right now, " Mom said. Don't worry about that. If we have to show ourselves to keep you safe, then so be it. She drove for a few miles, and the sat nav told her of a hotel with a diner attached to it. She pulled up, and it didn't look too bad. She told mom to stay here and pressed the horn if you're in trouble. She nodded. She walked into the hotel, an oldish woman was behind the desk she smiled at her. "Bonjour avez-vous une chambre disponible s'il te plait?" she asked. "We speak English dear, but well done with your French," She said, clapping her hands. Thank you. Your English is very good too. "Thank you. Yes, we have a room. is it just you for one night?" She asked. Yes, one night but for her and her mother. She is heavily pregnant we've been travelling and she needs food and rest for the night. We'll be leaving in the morning. "Oh, you poor things. Come come. Let's get you settled, and I'll get you a table ready in the diner. " She said. Thank you. She went to get her mother. She grabbed their suitecases from the car. She helped her mother out. The women behind the desk came out. She introduced herself as Juliette. She took us to our room. Thank you. Would you like to shower first and change mom. "Yes darling, that would be good." Mom said. She helped her shower and change. She looked shattered, mom. Why dont you stay here. She'll bring you food. "Are you sure?" Mom kind of looked relieved. Yes, she'll just shower and change herself. It was so nice to have a hot shower and wash her hair the simple things. She dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. Mum, keep your phone on and press this button on the car keys it will set the alarm off, and she'll know you're in trouble. She left for the diner, it wasn't far, and she could see their room from the counter where she ordered. 2 cheese burgers to pepperoni pizzas, 2 fries, and 2 chocolate milkshakes. "Enough food," Cyan said. Okay, shall she order less? "No," She responded. She's hoping to let you out when mom is asleep, and you know you're always hungry after we've shifted. She's had Cyan since she was 13 years old. She shifted at 15 years. Its pretty normal for phoenix to get their shifters earlier compared to other shifters. He father was pure blooded. Her mothers parents were pure blooded, and gamma blooded her. She's just like her father blonde hair, bright blue eyes that caught everyone's attention. Cyan with Blue all over with blue eyes just like her father. Her mother was white and grey. In the sunlight, Cyan, her feather, did look grey on the tips. She stood at the counter when she noticed 2 men looking at her clearly wolfen she could smell them, but luckily she could hide her scent a pretty handy gift phoenix had. They were hot, and she could let them scratch that inch she had, but she didn't want to leave her mother alone. She collected her food. One of them stood in her way. Looking at her up and down. She had a nice figure, all the right curve in the right places. "Well, aren't you nice on the eye?" He said he was British. Yes, she is, and on any other occasions, she would allow you to see all of her, but she has a sick mother who needs her attention, maybe another time. She walked past him. She tried to grab her arm. She turned and hummed a slight tune, and he walked away. Phoenix like birds could make songs with their beaks, wings, and talons. She could hum a sound at the back of her throat without even opening her mouth. That could make someone move away from her or attract someone to her. It's a bit like a siren call, but not as powerful as a siren. It was strong enough that she could get away, and she did just that. She took her food and left. She opened the door to see her mom asleep. She walked over and pulled the blanket over her. She woke up. Sorry, she didn't mean to wake you. "It's okay darling, it's just nice to be in a proper bed for a change. What did you get?" she asked. All your favourite burgers, fries, pizza, and milkshakes. Mom smiled. "Thank you.". We sat up and ate. "So see, any hot men?" she asked. Mom, stop. "What do you think? I don't know what you get up to, " Mom said, laughing. It just mostly fun, and that's as far as it goes for her. " Why you might find your mate?" She said. Mom, she won't. Her mate would have been a blue phoenix, and they is none left. "You don't know that could be a completely different species." She said Yes, which is worse. She would want phoenix children nothing else. If our mate isn't a phoenix or at least a bird shifter, we will be rejecting him. Mom looked shocked. "We mate for life, you know this," she said You did mom, you and dad. That's not a life she wants, and neither does Cyan. Mom looked disappointed. Come on rest, we have a long drive tomorrow before we even get to the wolfen portal. She waited about an hour till her mom was completely asleep it was 1am, and it was quiet outside. The diner was closed, and everyone was in their rooms. She stripped off. She felt her bones break and gorgeous blue feather form she loved watching Cyan transform she was beautiful. She was around 7 feet tall, her wing stretched out twice the size in length. She was mostly blue with a slight hint of green to her feathers. Blue bright eyes brighter than her human eyes. She took flight and glided around the forest it was wonderful to feel free and not have to hide. This was when she normally did this in the middle of the night. She landed back down on the ground to see Juliette watching her. She held up her clothes. She shifted back and grabbed her clothes. What do you want? "You are beautiful." Juilette said. She stepped closer to her, looking into Juilette eyes repeated after her. "I saw nothing ," She said "I saw nothing." Juilette said "It was just a dream." She said "It was just a dream," Juliette said "I will say nothing to anyone about this dream," She said "I will say nothing to anyone about this dream." Juilette said. Go to your room and sleep. Juliette turned and walked away. She didn't like using mind control it sometimes took other memory away. s**t we need to leave first light.
