Oh s**t he turned to see his mother on the stairs. Mother, what are you doing at this hour? "I could say the same for you,"Mother said.

His mother was smiling.He looked down. His mother caught him. Alex had gone for the swim in the lake. Mother's eyes went wide. It's okay she's in the safe area. "So you were just watching her," Mother said, smiling.

Calm down, mother, don't get any ideas. He was just making sure she was okay. "And?" Mother asked. Fine swam off. She'll be fine. He's sure the guard will tell him differently. Good night, Mother. "Good night, son," Mother responded, still smiling.

He woke the next morning to his father staring at him. f*****g hell father what are you doing? "We need to talk," He said.Well, could it have been while he was awake. "Get dressed. I'll see you in the Alpha office," He said.

His father stormed out, and he ran a hand over his face. What a day this is going to be. He showered and dressed. He made himself a coffee to go from his suite. It feels like he's going to need it. He walked into his office to his Father stood with his arm folded across his chest.

What's was important father that it could wait till a responsible hour. What's happened? "You let that girl swim in the lake." He asked.

Really? that's what you're pissed about?. Everyone is allowed to swim in the safe part of the lake. "She's not a pack member, Tristan," He said. Oh, father, give it a rest. Grandfather wants them here. They haven't given him reason to fear them until they do or their grandfather gives him another reason they can stay until otherwise.

His father left angry. He was about to go for breakfast when his phone ran. Hello Alpha Tristan Black Lake pack. "Grandson, I'm on my way. Will be about an hour." Grandfather said. Okay, just a warning, Father isnt happy about Brooke and Alex being here. He had a go at him this morning, so expect father to approach you over it.

"Okay, thank you for telling me, I can handle my son," grandfather said. He hung up and headed for breakfast. He mother and father were sitting eating.His father didn't look like he'd calmed down at all. Today was going to be a fun day.

Brooke and Alex came in, pushing the pram. Mother looked happy to see them, and Father was just angry. When he got in Alex's face. He couldn't hold it in any longer he was being unreasonable. He didn't want to pull him in line. It was embarrassing to have your son the Alpha do that, but he left him no other option.

Alex and her mother left he couldn't blame them. He'll be in his office, he told his unit. He's suddenly lost his appetite. He headed for his office and would distract himself for the next hour. He had plenty of work to do.

It was an hour later, and had word his grandfather had arrived and was on his way to his office. He heard a knock. Come in. It was Grandfather. You don't have to knock on his door, grandfather. "You are the Alpha. I'm being polite, unlike some Alpha's." Grandfather said.

He exhaled. He wasn't the most welcoming. He has apologies multiple times and stuck up for them with father. He thinks Brooke is okay with him, but Alex doesn't like or trust him right now he doesn't blame her he's let his father rule, rule him for too long. Hard habits to break a suppose.

"Well, as you've realised this, that's all that matters. Where are Brooke and Alex?" he asked. In their room. We're upset by fathers words this morning. "My son is on his way here now," He said.

It was about 5 mins later. Mother and Father walked in. Grandfather hugged mother and then punched father right in the jaw. He actually didn't know what to do. He has never been in this situation before. Mother just said nothing. Mother? "Leave them trust me your father deserves it" Mother said.

Father never hit him back, just stood in shock. "How dare you. My word is good. I was Alpha to this pack along time before you were even born boy. My word is good. I know this family, yes, they have a tricky past but would never be willing bring harm to this pack or anyone else's. You've made this pack a fortress aswel aswel as your heart. Im very disappointed in you. " He said.

"You've never lost a child, you dont understand," Father said.

'"No, I haven't, but I lost my first grandson, so dont you think I didn't feel that pain. Our Alpha ripped from us. I may never feel it the way you do, but I don't think it doesn't give me pain when I remember his loss. None of that gives you the right to treat people the way you have, " grandfather said.

"I don't trust them. I want them gone, " Father said.

"You don't know them, and it's not up to you. Your son is the reining Alpha Tristan." Grandfather said.

Both turned to look at him. He agrees with both of us. Father, he understands your thoughts, but they haven't done anything up to now to warrant him kicking a woman out of the pack that had a baby yesterday. Grandfather if they show any reason that he can't trust them or threat to this pack they are gone regardless of how you feel the pack comes first.

"I can accept that," Grandfather said. Father, you? "I don't have a choice." He said. Fine, that's settled. Grandfather, they are in their room. He nodded. Father, why don't you go to the forest house for a couple of days. "You trying to get rid of me?" He asked.

No, but maybe a break for seeing them might relax you out, and when you return and see everything, it is okay. You can restart again, and apologies. "I think that's a great idea. We can catch up with Killian and Margo. " She suddenly.

Father smiles at that idea. "Okay, just a few days, tho," He said. Mother winked at him. He smiled. Both his parents went to pack. He called Killian, and he was happy to be seeing them. He explained to Killian what had happened and too said your father is ridden with guilt. Tristan, over your brothers death, he needs help. I might be able to do that," Killlian said.

Thank you. Whatever you can do, he would appreciate it. Killian was a trained therapist. Let's see how the next few days go. Grandfather returned. "Brooke is asleep. I don't want to disturb her. Alex is walking the baby round. I'll go catch up on some work in your mother office. let me know when they are ready, " He said

He got up and looked out of his office window he could see her looking around where to walk. She saw him at the window. He points to the gardens. He mouth left, then right to the gardens. She half smiled and nodded her head and set off in the direction he said.

Well, that improvement she didn't call him a name of tell him to f**k off. He smiled he sat back down. He hadn't realised his unit had come in. "What are you smiling about?" Garret said.

Nothing "Spill," Raven said. He gave Alex instructions on where to walk Blake it was just nice he didn't get called a a**hole or told to f**k off. "Good, she is starting to settle, but it has not been 24 hours yet. "Shall we invite her out tonight. Show her the nightlife here. Have some fun," Gio said.

Yes, he doesn't see why not. Let's see how the meeting goes with grandfather. He has a feeling it might not go well. Sometime later, he heard a knock. He shouted, "Come in." It was Brooke and Alex. "Do you know where councilman Trevor is? " Alex asked.

He's in the Luna Office working, waiting for you to be ready. He'll mind-link him now for you. He did so. It was an awkward 5 mins you could tell she didn't want to be in the same room as him. So she's not getting over their bad start.

She was royaly pissed that he wanted to be at the meeting. He thought her head was going to explode when grandfather mentioned them moving here. What do you mean moving her?

That was the discussion with your father Alex for you to move here where it's safe." Grandfather said.

When were you going to tell him? "Well, they were meant to be meeting me at the council estate, but thing didnt go that way. I was going to invite you to the estate so you could meet them properly and discuss the move,' he said.

Oh, was all he could say. Well, he's open to discussing that now. "We will Tristan, but let me have a private talk with Alex and Brooke, then we will bring you into the conversation," He said.

Okay. He got up from his desk and left his office. His unit was outside. "What's going on?" Garret said

He's not sure. There is more to this story than he's been told. He was just staring at the closed door.
