The beginning of the end
Hmmm, so lovely and warm. She stretched out, revelling in the warmth, knowing it was the sun streaming through the window. She daren’t open her eyes just yet... she would enjoy this rare opportunity of a lie in.
She’d had a long night, and a longer week. None of her shifts had ended on time, and she’d barely had a lunch break most days. She loved her job, but it wasn’t a career for the old.
The sound of a lawnmower sputtering into life broke into her thoughts, and she slowly opened her eyes, wondering what time it was. She rolled over onto her tummy, reached out for her phone, and realised she’d forgotten to take her makeup before getting into bed. She’ll have to wash the pillow cases; again. Her phone screen lit up - 8.30am. Bit early for her neighbour to be mowing the lawn, especially on a Sunday, but at least he kept it tidy.
She stretched again, yawned, threw back the duvet and headed for the bathroom. No point trying to get back to sleep, she knew her brain wouldn’t let her no matter how long she laid there.
She switched on the shower and brushed her teeth while it warmed up - not that she needed to brush her teeth, but she felt it good to keep up the habit. You never knew when something like that would give you away, and her parents had both taught her it was best to maintain your cover, even when you were alone. Same with showering - although she enjoyed keeping up that pretence.
Once she was done with the bathroom, she towelled herself dry, then walked naked back to her room, pausing to glance out the window at her neighbour, still mowing his lawn.
He was quite attractive she supposed. Dark blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, well built. He always looked a bit dishevelled, like he was overdue for a haircut and a shave, but it suited him, added to his attractiveness almost. She’d only ever spoken to him a few times, usually in passing, but his smile was always present and warm.
He was wearing ripped jeans, boots, and a baggy shirt with some sort of logo on it, smears of soil hinting that he’d been out there for some time.
He must’ve sensed he was being watched, as he stopped and looked around. She quickly stepped back away from the window, embarrassed that he may have not only caught her spying on him, but seen her naked.
Her heart was pounding, her body tingled, and her mind raced. She felt the draw to step forward again, feel his eyes on her skin, watch for a response from him, see if he would turn away in shame, or continue to stare... a sudden intrusive thought entered her mind; his hands and lips caressing her skin, clothing falling away like paper in the wind, his stubble causing ripples of pleasure in the dip of her neck, his body pressing against hers, an aching pressure building between her legs...
She shook her head and took another step back. Perhaps best not to tempt fate. She turned and walked to her room, and began getting ready for the day. She had a lot to catch up on before next week; it would be a full moon after all.
