CHAPTER SEVEN “Your thoughts so far?” Greg asked as they rolled downtown to the Ford dealership. “Not enough information,” grumbled Brian. “It just doesn’t feel like a suicide to me. I think it’s a murder. So far, the only motive I see is revenge. Sam’s been involved in some shady deals in the past. He’s served time in NY before moving down here. He’s gone legit and his business is very profitable. Divorced, very close to only son, Ricky, who just got convicted for murder.” “How come you didn’t handle that?” “No investigation necessary. Cut and dried. Apparently, he got cheated by a dealer and wanted to teach him a lesson. He pleaded ‘not guilty’ at the trial, but gave no explanation for the shooting. Claimed it was an accident. Neighbor heard the shots and recorded the license plates.
