THE WALLPAPER

LACEY'S POV While I was waiting for our pickup, I remembered what happened yesterday afternoon in the music room. I was very excited about the heated confrontation between Kurt and me. I laugh at how he didn't expect my audacity. The shock registered on her face when I called her "babe" in front of her friends was still clear as the sunlight. Good for him. I was in that state when I noticed Sheena standing alone in front of the school's gate. Shai and I followed her yesterday because I wanted to talk to her and invite her to join us for treats, but she was moving so quickly that we caught up with her in the music room where Kurt and his buddies were practicing. Shai and I think it's a great idea to follow her. Is it likely that the chance was predestined? Could we be meant to be together? I had no idea he could play the guitar. I'm even more smitten with him now. However, he was irritated with me yesterday. On the other hand, I cast another glimpse towards Sheena. It's becoming dark, and it's starting to rain. It's difficult to find a tricycle to ride because they're all occupied. Why is she by herself? Where have her comrades gone? Our driver arrived to pick me up, but I appeared hesitant about going because I was concerned about Sheena. It's not that I intend to do anything, but it's disturbing because, at this time, she's still standing outside alone. But as the door of our car opened, and it began to rain violently, I rushed inside. "Sir, stop at the woman standing over there, and let's go with her," I told the driver. "Okay, ma'am," he said. We stopped in front of Sheena. I slightly opened the door. "Get on board, Sheena; the rain is terrible!" I yelled at her, hoping she could hear me over the din of the rain. "No, thank you. I'm fine!" she yelled back. "It's getting dark, Sheena, Possibly something else will happen to you, and this rain will last a longer time. Come up!!"" I yelled once more. She was still hesitant, but when she heard thunder, she jumped inside the car. "Just put your umbrella to the side; you're drenched," I advised. "Yeah, right, thank you," she said as she peeked inside, astonished by the obvious assets. "I have spare clothes here," I said. Please change your clothes first to avoid you getting sick, and it's still a long way to go." "Oh no, it's embarrassing. It's enough that you let me get here," she said flatly. "No, I insist." I handed her the blanket, and she had no choice but to accept it. She began to replace her soaked uniform. My heart feels overjoyed. Being near to one of Kurt's relatives causes a different kind of strain in my heart. It's almost as if I've been a part of his life. I watched Sheena completely change her clothing with a smile on her face. She bears a striking resemblance to Kurt's face. It's her eyes. They both have the same set of eyes. That's why I always keep a watch on his expressions. "Thank you," she murmured hesitantly. I gave her a genuine smile. "Are you hungry? I have some food here that you might like," I said, handing her a sandwich. "I'm still full," she admitted. I didn't force her because it would be embarrassing if I would "Okay," I replied. My phone abruptly rang. So I swiftly took it from the bag and typed the password to open it. When it opened, I could see Sheena's eyes widen as she noticed my cellphone's wallpaper. Because we are so close, she can clearly see what is on my cellphone. Kurt was on the wallpaper. A photo that was stolen. When I saw him again in the library, I captured him without him noticing it. So this has been my wallpaper ever since. "You're really obsessed with my cousin," she declared. "It's embarrassing, but, yeah. I am." I want to be honest. "But why him?" There are a lot of men on campus?" she said. "I really don't know. All I know is that I like him." "Do you also realize he doesn't like you?" "Of course," I replied without reservation. "Then why are you still pursuing him?" she asked. "It will only make him furious at you." "I know, but I'll do whatever it takes to make him like me," I replied. "It's completely up to you," she said. I burst out laughing. Perhaps it's my stubbornness. She laughed even more. I'm overjoyed with her. When I first met Shai, I felt the same way. To be honest, I don't have many famous friends. There are a few, but I'm more at ease with Shai and her family. "We'll drop first. What's your address?" I asked Sheena. She gave me the location. It's on Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, close to the university where we study. "You can drop me here," she suddenly said. "Sir, stop the car," I instructed our driver. "Thank you again; I'd like to invite you inside because it seems to be getting late, maybe next time," Sheena remarked. I couldn't speak right away. What she said startled me. "Ahm, thanks. My pleasure, Sheena. Please be careful," I replied. She nodded, "You take care. I'll go ahead, thanks again," and stepped out of the car, closing the door completely. Great, I'm so ecstatic. What was it that she said again? When is the next time? So, in that circumstance, we're already friends? I feel like I want to give my driver a salary cushion right now because of happiness. I never imagined things would turn out this way today. It's no longer difficult for me to get close to Sheena. She is really intelligent. The polar antithesis of Kurt's personality. She can inform Kurt about what she saw on my phone. It won't be a problem for me. I don't care if the issue regarding my wallpaper is strewn around the campus.
