The Reason Why I Like Stetson Park prt. 2

I am currently here inside the student council room, and like usual old stuff I am busy doing all the paper works for this event. Maybe you are wondering, am I the only one that shoulders all the responsibilities here in the student council? No, they have their duties. Okay I will explain it first before we proceed to the story, do you want to know it? Okay, so let’s start with me the student council president. I am responsible for the overall issues that we have or we will adjourn. After the officers are done with their reports they will pass it to me, and I will check and revise it if there’s anything wrong, so that’s the reason why the other officers are enjoying this event while I am here stock in the student council room. Next is for the secretary, the secretary’s name is Jun and he is also a graduating student, well all of the officers are all graduating students. Moving on, so Jun his duties are also concerns with paper works, but unlike mine, the scope of his work is only concern about all the events we held the whole year, his work is also concern with finalizing the candidates for every event, for example, the candidates for upcoming student council election, and when he finalized the candidates he will pass it to me and I will check it and ask him about the criteria he has while choosing the candidates. Next is the treasurer, our treasurer’s name is Mary. Her work is concern about the financial issues in our whole campus. She budgets the money of the school, and Mary and I are the authorized people to set the money needed for the said event. For example, in these intramurals, we will have a meeting about it first and we will only just give a specific budget for this event. We are only four major student council members, but we also have 6 representatives for each grade level. Okay, moving on. So I am here all alone inside the student council while doing all the paper works until someone opened the door and enters. 

“Good morning Ms. Cat, already focused on doing that paper works?” Stetson asks wait, Stetson? I looked at the guy and saw that it was him. Geez! I don’t know why but after what happened yesterday I have this tingling sensation in my stomach and I feel nervous and conscious about myself that I didn’t feel before!

“Ah, good morning,” I said but I am not looking at him instead I am looking at the papers I am doing. I know I am acting weird right now but geez! I also didn’t know why!

“Are you okay? You look uncomfortable.” He said and started to walk towards my seat but weirdly responded to him by stopping him using my hand. Geez! The hell are you doing Cat? You look effin’ weird! 

“Oh, okay.” He said and just sit on the chair beside him that is 5 chairs away from me. Geez! Cat, get yourself together! Stop acting like that!

“Ahm, are you truly fine Ms. Cat?” He asked to break the silence between us because the only thing you can hear right now is the sound of the air-con in this room. 

“Ah, yes I’m fine. Sorry for acting weird earlier.” I said and looked at him. He just smiled at me and went back on doing his duties. 

“I thought I made you uncomfortable because of what I’ve done yesterday.” He said that made me looked at him, thank goodness he is busy doing his work. Honestly, that’s the reason why I felt uncomfortable with him right now. I never thought that there will be a guy like him that will apologize and express his feelings like that in front of a crowd. It’s not that I hate what he does, it’s just that, that was the very first time someone does something like that for me and I appreciated it so much!

“Ah, no, no. Honestly, I am so thankful for it, because after that your fangirls stopped pestering me and pulling mean pranks. Thank you so much, Stetson.” I said while smiling at him genuinely. I see that suddenly felt uncomfortable because he immediately looked away from me and scratched his head. I just giggle at his reaction because he looks so adorable!

“Nah, that’s nothing! I just did the right thing to protect you.” He said that made me uncomfortable again. Why is there a butterfly in my stomach?! Don’t tell me I am falling for him? It’s too early! It is only the 5th chapter of this story. XD 

“By the way, I am so happy about what you’ve said that they stopped pestering you.” He said while writing. 

“I am also happy, and thank you again,” I said and we remained silent again. But only a few seconds have passed when the student council officers enter the room loudly. Geez!

“Hi, Ms. Cat and Stetson!” Mary greeted us and sit on her chair beside Stetson. 

“Hi.” I greeted her back but as I looked at her I saw this mischievous smile on her lips. I mouthed at her ‘why’ but she just shrugged her head and get all the papers from her bag.

“By the way Stetson, what you’ve done yesterday was so manly!” Mary said while giggling. I just shake my head at her, because I finally get why she is smiling at me like that.

“Oh? That’s nothing, I just did the right thing to do because if it wasn’t for me Ms. Cat will just her normal life as a student council president and also as a student of Eclipse International School.” He said but I pretended not to hear what he just said because I know that if I react, Mary will just tease me more and I hate it!

“Aw!!! That was so, so manly of you Stetson can I be your girlfriend?” She asked but Stetson just shakes his head at her that made me laughed. 

“HAHAHA, sorry!” I said while trying my best to hold my laughter. 

“Oh, it looks like someone was so happy because Stetson just rejected me,” Mary said 

“I wonder who’s that someone is,” I said as if I didn’t know on who’s Mary pertaining to. 

“Of course it’s you, Ms. Cat! You like Stetson right? Right?” She said that made me blushed. Well, I idolize him because of his achievement in volleyball, but I didn’t like him in a romantic way.

“Well, yes I like him but not in a romantic way,” I said that made Mary laughed and started to tease me more. I just shrugged my head at her and started doing my paper until Stetson speaks again that caught my attention. 

“Well, I also like Ms. Cat but unlike her…” He paused for a while that made the tension higher and higher. While waiting for his answer, I can feel that I am losing some air. 

“I also like her as my upperclassman.” He said that made me comfortable. Geez! I thought he will say but unlike her, I like her in a romantic way. I just shrugged my head with that thought and just continue working. 

“Oh, by the way, tomorrow will be the last day of our intramurals, want to hang out?” Mary asked which made us looked at her. Wow! So, this will be my last intramurals here in high school? It’s kinda sad because I didn’t have the chance to enjoy the event. 

“Ah, maybe I’ll pass,” I said with a hint of sadness in my voice. I truly want to go with them but I can’t because I have a lot of things to do here, especially it’s the closing ceremony tomorrow, which means I will be busier!

“Ah, that’s so sad to hear. Just take a break Ms. Cat you are working so hard every time and you didn’t get the chance to enjoy your life as a high school student. Did you know that high school life is the best time for every student?” She said but I just shrugged my head.

“You know, I also want to go but duty comes first so yeah,” I said and just continue doing my paper works.

“Ahm, only for an hour Ms. Cat hangs around with us, please, please this will be the last time,” Mary said while using her puppy eyes on me. I just rolled my eyes at her and continue working.

“Ah, it’s so hard to invite Ms. Cat with these kind of things. She didn’t know that it’s her last year in high school and she didn’t even have the chance to experience this in college.” Mary said while acting as if she is crying.

“You know guys, if you truly want to enjoy your last year here in high school, then go enjoy it! You can enjoy it without me, and stop wasting your time on inviting me because ever since I became the student council president you know that duty comes first, leisure comes second.” I said that made them speechless. I don’t want to sound mean to them, but they are getting on my nerves, they kept on interrupting my work and I can’t focus anymore!

“Oh, calm down Ms. Cat. Okay, okay we will not invite you anymore whenever you’re busy. But I will still invite you after your term as a student council president. I know you are not that busy anymore, so you can come with us and we can eat somewhere.” She said not giving up on what she likes. I let out a heavy sigh of defeat and just nod at them.

“But, don’t ever invite whenever I’m busy even if I am not the president anymore, okay?” I asked and they all just nod at me. After that argument, they started to fix their things because another day has about to end but for me, maybe a few more hours. 

“Hey, Ms. Cat you will still stay there?” Stetson asked while fixing his things.

“Ah, yes I will stay here for more hours I am almost finished with the event’s papers so got to finish it so by tomorrow I will just do the program for the closing ceremony and for the awarding,” I said and he just smiled at me.

“Then, I will stay here with you for more hours.” He said that made me looked at him. I saw that he is busy on his phone while his earphones are both on his ears. He just wants to accompany me, but he didn’t want to bother me so I can focus more on my work. 

“Thank you, Stetson, you are such a good guy,” I said even though I know he can’t hear me. I go back to my paper works and after a few hours, I am done. I am already fixing all the papers when Stetson catches my attention. I walk towards him and shake his shoulder.

“Hey, Stetson.” I am calling his name while shaking his shoulder but he just flinched away from my hands.

“Stetson.” I continue calling his name and he moves a little, so I continue doing it but the next thing he does surprised me so much.

“Stetson, wake up!” I said, at first I thought he is already awake because he grabbed my hands but the next thing I knew I was already inside his arms, cuddling me. I try to remove his arms but I can’t move an inch, so I just looked in front of me but that’s a wrong move because it was his face. OH MY! His face is so close! His face is SO CLOSE! I can feel his heavy breathing on my face and it’s tickling me! After a few minutes, he moves a little and slowly opening his eyes. The moment his eyes opened, he was so surprised that he saw my face so close so he immediately let go of me and stands up.

“Ah, I’m sorry I didn’t know what I just did.” He said while looking down. He seems so embarrassed about it because I can see his ears are so red!

“It’s, it’s fine. You are in deep sleep so you, you didn’t know what you’re, doing.” I said but my voice is shaking out of the embarrassment that I am feeling.

“Ah, am I sleep for a long time?” He asked so I just nod at him.

“Ah, I’m so sorry Ms. Cat.” He said while bowing on me. I just smiled at him and head towards my chair.

“By the way, you can go home now I need to give this to the president’s office,” I said trying my best to be composed as if nothing embarrassing happened earlier.

“Oh, okay then take care. See you tomorrow.” He said still not looking at me. He immediately blasts off outside the room. The moment Stetson leaves the room, that’s the only time I feel this weak feeling on my knees.

“What the hell just happened?” I said to myself and let out a heavy sigh. I stay there for a few more minutes to completely composed myself. I can’t go to the president’s office with this condition. 

“Hoo! I got to go!” I said again to myself and get all the things from my table. After checking all the things inside the room, I head outside and locked it.

“OH MY GOODNESS! WHY ARE YOU THERE?!” I screamed out of the astonishment that I felt the moment I saw him standing behind the wall.

“Oh, I’m sorry! Did I surprise you that much?” He asked but I didn’t utter a word because I was so, so surprised by him.

“Hey, I’m truly sorry about what happened earlier and what happened just now,” Stetson said. Geez! I thought he already left!

“I told you it’s fine! By the way, why are you still here?” I asked then started walking and he immediately follows me.

“Ah, I still want to apologize about what happened earlier.” He said 

“That’s it?” I asked and he just nods at me. Wow! I never thought he will apologize like these much! He truly is guilty, isn’t he?

“I told you it’s fine, it’s fine, it’s fine. How many times do I have to tell you that it’s fine, it’s no one’s fault.” I said using my calm voice.

“But.” He said so I looked at him and hugged him suddenly. I know that it surprised him so much, well me too was surprised by what I’ve done! But I need to tell him that hugging is not a big deal for me except the face thingy.

“It’s just a hug okay? There’s nothing to get apologetic about it.” I said and started walking away. Geez! I can feel my face is burning! Well, that day just ended like that, full of embarrassment and more embarrassment, geez!
