Chapter one
"NO! Get back here!" I called to my German Shepherd Buck. But it was to late he had already slipped past me and was out of my room before I knew it.
He was in the bar and I knew as I raced after him that. this wasn't going to end well for either of us.
I went through the cracked open door to the bar and saw a very angry looking Felix holding a very scared looking Buck.
Felix is my dad's closest and meanest friend. "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU THIS DAMN DOG WAS DEAD THE NEXT TIME IT GOT LOSE!" roared Felix with a devilish smile at the end. "NO! but it's not his fault!" I pleaded with tears streaming down my face knowing what's about to unfold.
But he just stood there staring at me with the same creepy smile on his face while remaining silent.
That was yesterday and I'll never forget it. That was the day I lost my best friend.
To be honest I knew it would happen one day I just hoped it wouldn't be so soon. I've even tried to give him away. Many times actually but he would always run back to me.
I even put him in the pound at one point but we don't have any no kill shelters. So when his time was almost up and no one would adopt him I went and got him back.
Not that it did much good. But right now I'm just a mess I'm sad, tired, hungry, and angry at myself for not getting him away and at Felix for obvious reasons.
You see after Felix killed Buck he left me to clean up. So I did just after burning Buck thought and I just got to say a seventeen year old girl burying a full grown German Shepherd has a lot of difficulty.
