Junpei

"Mahito! Momonga! Something terrible happened!" Junpei screamed as he entered their hideout.

With tearful eyes and a high-pitched voice, he continued to scream as he checked every corner of the place.

"Calm down, Junpei. " Mahito said as he slowly got up from his hammock. "Momonga left to fight some people. Tell me what happened? " The human curse continued.

"It's my mom. She's... she's... She needs Momonga's help." Junpei said in between gasps. He tightly placed his hand over his chest and looked into Mahito's eyes.

Mahito immediately held back his facial expression maintaining a neutral exterior. 'You can't laugh now. Not in front of him. Hahaha! ' He thought as he walked to the kid.

"What happened? " Mahito said with a small voice.

"Where is Momonga?! Where did he go?! " Junpei said while looking around the place. He paced the room from corner to corner nonstop for a few seconds while repeating the same question.

Mahito placed his arms around the boy who immediately jumped into the curses's arms. The boy's tears increased 10 fold.

"Where is he Mahito? " The boy asked as he fell to the ground.

Mahito and Junpei were crouched down on the floor hugging each other while the boy tried to hold back his sadness.

"Momonga will be here soon. Tell me, what happened? " Mahito said as he stroked Junpei's hair.

"I don't know. My mom's hurt, but I think Momonga can fix her. You said that he's the death curse, right Mahito? Maybe he can..." The boy asked.

Mahito hugged Junpei tighter making it impossible for the boy to see his face. Ainz's gate opened right at that moment and when the undead came out he got a good look at the creepy smile Mahito was making.

As soon as Mahito saw Ainz was there he changed his expression to a happy face.

"Momonga, welcome back. Did you have fun? " The curse said as he winked at him.

'What is going on here? ' Ainz thought as he exited his portal.

"Momonga!" Junpei jumped out of Mahito's arm.

The boy ran towards the undead tripping along the way until he finally made it to the undead. Junpei grabbed Ainz's clothing and started yelling.

"My mom! Something terrible happened. I need help, please! " The body screamed as he pulled on Ainz's attire.

"What is this about? " Ainz said with a deep voice. His eyes focused on Junpei's hand grasping his divine gear.

The boy's eyes widened in realization as he let go of the undead's clothing and in a single motion bowed down in front of Ainz.

"My mom was killed. Can you please fix her? I'll do anything, please! " Junpei said as he scrapped his head on the floor so hard it left blood on it.

Ainz looked at Mahito who was trying his hardest to not laugh. ' I'm more confused now than back in the fight. What the hell? ' Ainz thought as he lowered himself to pick up the crying baby from the floor.

"Don't bow to me like that. When you ask something from me you need to look me in the eye. " Ainz said as Junpei stood up and looked at him. "You said something happened to your mother. Someone killed her? " The overlord asked.

Junpei simply nodded.

"Are you sure? " Mahito asked as he made his way closer to the boy.

"... there was blood everywhere... inside the house... and I found half a body with her clothing on..." The boy said. He took a deep breath and cleaned his nose in between every sentence.

'Why would anyone kill a random kid's mother and leave so much gore behind? Makes no sense.' Ainz thought as he started to stroke his chin. He looked at Mahito who was covering his mouth with both his hands and making weird faces. 'And why the hell is Mahito acting like that? '

'This is harder than I expected. ' Mahito thought as he barely could contain himself.

"Junpei. " Mahito said after finally being able to behave normally. "If you're right there's nothing we can do. Once people die it's over. " He placed his hand on top of junpei's head.

"But Momonga's the death curse, right? You said it yourself I'm sure he can..."

"It's not impossible. " Ainz interrupted Junpei's reasoning.

Both Mahito and Junpei had their eyes looking straight at Ainz the moment they heard the undead speak.

"Are you serious? " Mahito said with a confused look.

"Are you serious? " Junpei said as his eyes sparked with hope.

"There are many factors, but it's not impossible to bring someone back. I'll need you to take me to your house and..."

Before Ainz could finish Junpei jumped at him and hugged the undead.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! " Junpei said as some of the snot got on Ainz's chest. The undead immediately pulled the kid away from him and placed the boy on the ground.

"Don't thank me yet, it's not guaranteed and I haven't done anything yet. Besides, there is still the payment you'll owe me. One more thing, don't ever hug me again, okay? " Ainz said as he casted the first tier clean to remove the disgusting present Junpei had given him.

Junpei nodded.

"I'll take you to my house. This way. " Junpei turned around and started running.

Mahito approached Ainz and started whispering in his ear.

"Are you just f*****g with the kid or can you actually do it? " Mahito asked.

"Depends a lot on many factors, but I think I can. " Ainz responded.

'More like I know it's possible and I'm not just talking about it because of the spells from Yygrasil. I have this confidence that I can do it coming from the depths of my soul. It feels like everything is possible now. ' Momonga thought.

Mahito raised one of his eyebrows before turning to follow Junpei. Ainz followed shortly.

"This is horrible. " Mahito said as he saw the bloodstained room where Junpei's mom was killed. The body was mostly gone.

'It's going well. ' The human curse thought as he looked at the finger that was left on the floor.

"You should go back to your room, Junpei. I'll investigate here a little more. " Ainz said while walking forwards and stepping near the puddle.

Junpei nodded and ran to his room.

Both curses remained quiet until they were sure the boy had closed the door. After that, Ainz raised his left hand and snapped his finger.

"The boy can't hear anything we say inside this barrier. Talk Mahito. " Ainz said. The undead's eye flashed as he stared at Mahito. "Why do I feel your presence in this room? "

"It's because I'm here right now, silly. " Mahito said as he smiled at Ainz.

"I'm not in the mood. Also, my name is Ainz Ooal Gown now." The undead said while pointing his finger at Mahito. "You were here before, right? Did you do it? " Ainz asked.

Mahito's expression turned cold and his eyes became distant.

"Yes. And I'm just gonna call you Momonga anyways, okay? Okay. " Mahito said as he passed his fingers in the blood and licked it. "Do you even care about this tho? Are you attached to Junpei by any chance? Even though you are a curse like me?"

"I don't really care about him. I'm just confused about this development. Weren't we trying to recruit him? Why kill the boy's mother? " Ainz said.

"Ahhh. That's what you mean? I thought you were trying to go all morality on me. Phewwwww. You got it wrong. My goal with Junpei is not to bring him to our side. " Mahito said as he approached Ainz. "I want to recruit Sukuna, Momonga. "

'Sukuna? Geto mentioned him before... The ally they need to beat the jujutsu sorcerers.' Ainz thought right after pushing Mahito's face away from his own.

"What does he have to do with Junpei? " Ainz asked.

"Everything. I'm going to use Junpei to force Itadori Yuji to make a pact with Sukuna giving him control over the body. " Mahito said as he grabbed the finger from the floor.

"Itadori Yuji and Sukuna share the same body? Elaborate. " Ainz said.

"It's faster if I show you this. " Mahito opened his hand revealing a red finger with a huge nail and a small piece of cloth tied around it.

'Is this from the dead mother? ' Ainz thought before quickly shaking his head. 'It's mummified. Still, the amount of cursed energy swarming around in it is amazing.'

"A cursed object? What about it? " Ainz asked as he grabbed the finger.

As soon as his hands touched the object Ainz felt a wave of bloodlust coming from the finger. His emotional suppressant undead trait kicked in and stopped him from dropping the finger on the ground.
