CLOAKED HEARTS

Riya collapsed on the floor hitting the door continuously, tired of failed response,she slumped down more into herself resembling a fetus position , A lady from the neighborhood in her late forties came out ran towards Riya , "Riya ! riya ! What happened you ? Are you fine? Why are you shouting Priya name? . what happened dear? " she bombarded Riya with questions ,those questions bought riya back to reality,she looked up to see a pair of eyes looking at her with concern ,realizing her surroundings she composed herself " Thank you aunty ,I just lost my keys and called my friend named priya and yelled at her because she was responsible for the mess, may be I think u heard that. " here started the web of lies by Riya just to escape from her past. the lady sighed in relief believing the story she made "hey dear don't worry for this, you look petrified, wait here i would get you some water and check weather i have set of spare key set with me ,i remember you giving me one " . Riya repressed and had a little self talk "Riya just stop all this non sense ,stay calm and focused,you just cant let your past rekindle its way when ever it want so just let it go " she was busy with herself that she failed to notice disembarkation of the neighbor . "Take this, the spare keys bset, take some rest u look tired and it is quite late " saying that she left from there . Riya hurried herself inside the room closing the door,assuring herself that she is all alone,she crumpled down on floor and let her tears cascade down her eyes . Neha ran towards ,Abhi who was weeping silently in the corner and asked him " hey brother ! What happened? BLOOD she shrieked but wrapped her hanky around the wounded palm, Abhi , what happened ? " asked worried Neha once again this time Abhi snapped out to reality and shook his head " Nothing happened Neha , let's go home mom would be waiting for us " saying he reflected back to himself and got up and swiftly started taking long strides towards their car, Neha silently followed him and once they settled themselves in car ,Neha couldn't hold her anxiety anymore asked her brother " did you meet her? What did she said ? Why do you look upset ?" this irritated Abhi to the core composing himself answers Neha in a stern voice ,"Neha can we discuss about that later " this time Neha got irrirated and answered in fit rage " whoa brother isn't it you ,the one who wanted to meet her before even meeting your own family and now when I question you the same,you snap at me ,what say leave it " saying so turned her head other side . abhi cringed at antics of his sister but somewhere down the heart the last incident pricked his heart but he decided himself to make Riya run into his arms unknowing the fact that his friend hate the four letter word -LOVE ,while he was engrossed in his thoughts they reached their villa , "bro if your done with your immaginative duet lease come out we are home ", he let a chuckle at the comment made by Neha and came out the car Ishwari who was egarely waiting for her son's arrival rushed to the main door hearing the car honk , abhi along with neha walked in took the blessings of their mother ,soon he was engulfed in a warm hug by his mother hug 'I missed you " she whispered , jay came there and fake coughed in order to gain attention ,then Abhi went near his dad took him in a hug and stayed for a while. All members of the family settled themselves in the living room. Riya after come into her room rubbing the few tear drops spilling from her eye faced herself in the mirror and spoke out I will not let this happen Mr.Abhimanyu, I will never let my past overcome my future ,she rolled her eyes, suddenly a file lying on the side table near her bed caught her attention.She remembered that tomorrow is the first day for her office which meant fresh start for your new beginning ,with that she went to her bed and slept with a content smile in order not to let her past effect her anymore Abhi out of blue suddenly asked his dad ' Dad ! can I come to our office tomorrow for interview, I hope vacancies are there ." Jay startled by the request from his son but realizing who he was ,he smiled at him assuring him that vacancies were available and he will be posted into the calibrated post after giving his job interview, with this Abhi's heart skipped a beat as he is going to fulfill his long lasting dream,smiling to the fullest and he took an exit from other family members not before saying good night .He swiftly went to his room due to long tiring day as soon his back hit the bed sleep empowered him.
