Chapter Three

Greyson P.O.V

"where'd you go bro?" Colton whispers as I take me seat next to him. I'd only missed half the lecture and Colton has taken notes so I'll copy his later.

I look around the room to make sure no one is listening in before I lean over to him.

"She was here" I mutter as I stare straight ahead.

"Here? In the building? Where did she go? He frowns while looking at me.

"She rode off with Owen Jackson" I run my hand down my face, prepared for Colton's rage.

"You mean the bloodsucking parasite Owen?! Why would she do that, How does she even know him?" he whispers harshly back at, gaining a couple stares from others nearby. His fists are clenched on top of his desk, trying to control his temper. After a couple deep breaths he turns to me.

"So what are we going to do?" thats what makes Colton one of the best friends anyone could ask for, no matter what he has my back and whatever problems we face, we face together.

"we're going to go find Owen and see if he knows where she's at" I growl, Just the idea of having to be in the same room as that blood sucker makes me mad. I turn back to the front of the room and try to focus on the lecture. While I keep thinking...

Only 3 more lectures then I can go find her...Only 3 more lectures then I can go find her...

The day has dragged and by the time I met with the others and got in my truck my frustration has grown. As we set off my mind drifts back to her and the way she reacted in the hallway, she acted shocked almost scared, but why, did she feel the mate pull? and if so how, she didnt smell like any of the neighbouring packs so she cant be a wolf.but there was a faint scent of something but i just couldnt place what it was. another thought that keeps on nagging at me is why did she run to Owen and how did she know him? what did they want from her? just the possiblitiy of what they could do to her makes my blood boil and makes me want to rip them limb from limb.

We turn off on to a long country road that would lead to their house. We park as the entrance of their driveway.

"see you guys back at the pack house" I says as I climb out of the truck.

"you sure we can wait here for you" Colton asks from the drivers side of the truck.

"its okay, i'll mindlink you if I need you" I reassure him as I turn and stare at their house. I take a deep breath as I start to walk up the driveway and thats when i get whiff of her scent. the most tantalizing smell.

She's here. She's just behind that door is all I can think as I come to the bottom of the stairs that lead to their front door. I stare up at the front of the house and see the lights are on through the two big bay windows. I start to walk up the front steps and as I get half way up the door opens. I look up there she is, she's looks so small, her black hair is pulled up in a ponytail and the light behind her makes her look like an angel. I finish walking up the stairs as she closes the door behind her.

"your here" I breathe as I takes the last couple steps towards her.

"Where else would I be?" she asks as raises one of her slender brows at me. Her scent is almost intoxicating this close.

"So what are you doing here" she asks while staring down at the ground. Doesn't she feel it? I watch her, she looks so calm. She doesn't look like she feels the pull or the ache to be close to eachother. But she ran from me, she has to know.

"you were standing and staring at her, of course she ran." my wolf mumbles.

I frown, sh**, I must have looked like a psycho, no wonder she ran but why to HIM?

"Are you okay?" I ask, I need to know they didnt do anything to her, the mere thought of Owen sparks my anger.

"Of course, why wouldnt I be?" shes looks at me frowning, like she doesnt understand why Im even asking that, so that at least shows she didnt get hurt.

"why are you here?"

"what do you mean why am I here? I live here" she states while crossing her arms.

"what do you mean you live here? do you have any idea of what danger your in?" I say frustratedly, how can she be so blind?!

"danger?! this is my family, what possible danger could i be in?" she looks at me in disbelief like she cant believe what im saying.

"yeah danger and there is no way those MONSTERS are your family!" I growl out.

"monsters?! are you serious right now?" she screams at me. "is that what you call us now? last I checked we arent the ones who change forms completely."

"wait what do you mean we?......your lying , you cant be one of them." I say shaking my head, this cant be happening theres no way I could be mated to a bllod sucking monster.

"yeah thats right,  Im a vampire, guess it sucks to be you right now, being mated to a vampire and all" she bitterly laughs. her arms crossed and her stance daring me to say something. just looking at her i can tell I've touched a nerve. got this wasnt meant to go this way, I wasnt meant to be mated to a f*****g monster, but for somereason I cant seem to make myself say the words to reject her.

shit, what the hell am I meant to do now. I take a deep breath to try and calm down and thats when i smell it, this close to her the scent is clear, that faint hint of something i couldnt quite figure out. shes a vampire, but then why does she also smell human?

"you know what Im done with this, I dont need this bullshit, f**k yourself" she says angrily and before I can even say another word shes run away. she ran so quick I didnt even see what direction she went in.

"f**k!" I scream, releasing all the frustraion in me I repeatedly hit a tree till my fist is bloody and throbbing in pain.
