Chapter 15
Rachel's POV
It's been two weeks since my "parents" as well as my real father's death. Grandmother says that things will be going back to normal soon at the Palace.
Apparently the lessons I have been having is not close to a fraction of what I will be doing when things are back to normal and there has been a lot of lessons.
The queen is still not happy with the progress of my manners at the dinner table and I am still not following the correct etiquette when it comes to the afternoon tea.
To make matters worse they want to introduce me to society this evening. A ball in honour of their newly found princess, which I can not be called yet so everyone is addressing me with lady Rachel at the moment.
We have had a few small mishaps of things accidentally falling very close to me. So they are on high alert at all times around me.
As for Chase, I haven't seen him much. The queen said he had to go back to his country again and doesn't know when he will return.
Liam has been teaching me to ride a horse.
How on earth do you keep your butt from hurting so much after riding for a while. "Will you be okay with the evening we have planned for you Lady Rachel?"
I am still struggling to manage this horse. Her name was snowflake because she was as white as snow with one grey ear. I really don't think she likes me. "Not really." I looked very worried.
Liam smiled slightly. "You have improved at least with most of your lessons. Don't worry about it, the queen is just getting you ready for what has to come."
I smiled slightly back."I guess I will never be ready".
I looked up, taking in the breathtaking view. "I might be born of royal blood but I didn't grow up between the royals."
He looked reassuringly. "You will be fine. There will be a lot of security including me. Lets go back to the Palace."
He smiled and I smiled back. "Yes. Lets."
