Chapter 6

Rachel's POV

We just left the alley and surprisingly no one came looking for us there or they were still on their way to the alley. Either way I just hope my parents are okay. Who is this guy anyways. They never introduced me to him. "Uhm, what is your name?"

The stranger looked like he was about to curse at himself. "Forgive me, my name is Mr Wallaby."

I tried my best not to snort and covered my mouth. What an absurd surname. If he saw my reaction he did not react to it.

I want to know what is going on but I promised my parents I will wait for them.

Mr Wallaby's POV

I am glad we weren't being followed and hope the Ellis's got away safely as well. We need to meet up soon so Rachel can hear what they have to say.

Maybe I should try to lighten the mood. "You look grown up for an eighteen year old."

She still kept looking out of the window. "I doubt it, I might just be in shock."

I looked at her through the mirror. "To be honest I thought you would put up more of a fight."

She looked into the mirror. "How can I put up a fight if I don't even know what I am fighting? Besides, I haven't even had coffee or food in my stomach yet."

She looked back outside of the car window. 

I looked into the mirror again. "I am surprised you aren't asking me any questions either."

She kept looking outside. "I assumed you will not answer my questions and I made a promise to my mom and dad." She looked down. "I would like to keep it."

She is an amazing and strong person. Let's hope she does not lose that fire through all of the things she is about to endure, she will need it.

I looked in the mirror again. "I-" My phone rang and I tried getting it from my pocket and answered it. "Yes." 

It's Ian on the phone. "Liam, you will have to go straight to them. The Ellis's... they were in a car crash and they did not make it. We think it was no accident and kept them from knowing it was Mrs Ellis's body. They think it's Rachel for now and it will buy you some time. We will try to stall it as much as possible from letting the public know."

Chapter 7

Rachel's POV

I wonder why he has stopped and it looks like he is turning around. "Everything okay?"

He has gone awfully quiet all of a sudden. "Something came up. I will be taking you to a different place."
