“Nailea!” I flinched when I heard a deep voice call out to me, followed by the loud clangs of metal against metal which rang in my ear even after it ended. I didn’t know when I had fallen asleep, but from the light that poured out of the small window and onto Nathan’s face as he stood in front of the bars blocking him from the cell I was in, I knew that the sun had come up.
