*Present*
"You shouldn't be doing that if I were you," I started, as two hands covered my eyes the moment I entered the house. "Calum."
"How'd you know?" He asked, chuckling, as his hands trailed my shoulders down my hands. He held my hands to him, as I gave him an 'oh well' look, as he turned me around. God, when was the last time I saw this guy? And he probably feels the same way as he eyed me, studying me. Then he smiled, "I'd do that all the time."
"I'm used to living alone now, remember? And I took self defense. I might have punched you," I giggled.
"I miss you," he said, hugging me. I felt his lips as he planted a kiss on my forehead.
"So do I," I said happily. He finally let go of me, leading me to the nearest chair, in front of an unfamiliar face. He's probably the new guy. He was on his phone, lip biting as he talks to someone.
Michael and Ashton, on the other hand, missing childhood, were playing thumb wrestling.
"Oh, you're here," Ashton smiled at me. His eyes were filled with excitement, as he and Michael stood up and gave me a big hug. "Yay! Cuddle time!"
"Wouldn't doubt why he loves you," Michael started.
"I," I started, but Calum cut me off, sitting at the arm of the chair right next to me.
Calum patted me, "anyway, this is Paul. He's crazy in stage."
"Not so," he chuckled, tucking his phone in his pocket. He looked at me and smiled. "Pleasure to have finally meet you. I heard so much about you. So sorry about what happened."
I signed but had managed to smile at him, holding Calum's hand, "its okay. I know he's around. Right, Cal?"
He smiled back at me, as his hand tighten its grip. "Yes."
"Anyway," I stood up, heading to the kitchen. "You must be hungry. Anything you wanna eat?"
Michael grinned and ran to me, lifting me. "Bake me some cookies. I miss those!"
"Really now, Clifford?" I giggled, as he put me down. "Just the cookies?"
Calum stood by the door, leaning. The table was piled up with grocery bags and gifts. I looked at them, raising my eyebrow. "Guys, you don't have to."
"Yeah, maybe we don't," he walked a few paces towards me. As he reached for my hands. "But we want to."
"Cookies," Michael repeated, jumping between us. We laughed. I miss them. A lot.
