Unicorns riding the rainbow

Without even looking, I know how she's smiling at me - to make me feel comfortable in telling her everything. Well, don't psychiatrist do that? But I'm not going to give in.

This has to be the wrong decision I ever make. Who says she'll help in making me feel better. Ugh.

I continually stare at the table, where Mrs. Everdeen, taps the tip of her pen, making annoying noises.

"What else happened? Anything, you know, magical?" She asked, for what felt like the hundredth time after being here in just half an hour.

I was referred to her by my mum. Apparently, they're high school friends. I was refusing, assuring mum that I don't need a psychiatrist. But, you know, mums! She told her where I stay. So, now, its either I go to her or she goes to me.

"Like seeing unicorns riding the rainbow?" I asked sarcastically. Then I sighed. "None."

"Okay," she said patiently. "I'm sure there is. Did your mum call?"

"She always does," I told her. "And she said hi."

"There," she said as if she won this time. "What else did she said?"

Okay, probably answering her would give me an escape here. "Something about my brother. I think Nathan decided to take up medicine."

"Well, that's great!" She continues. "What else? Did any of your friends call? Or visit you perhaps?"

"I don't have any friends here," I pointed out.

But she refused, "you have."

"Sure," I said. "And they're not here. They will have to fly to come over. No one will do that, it's stupid."

"How about a call? I'm sure they miss you!"

"None," I said, pouting, as I try to remember something. "Wait! Calum did and I have to go now!"

"Hey," she called but I already stood up and ran to the door. "We're not done yet. We still have 45 minutes."

"But you said it's good to have friends around. Was it last week when you said that? They're probably at my place right now and it's really rude to make people wait," I said, winking at her. She raised her eyebrow, though I can see some joy in her eyes. Bet I gave her a progress for having some friends around.

Giving her one last look, I waved goodbye and closed the door.
